I explained I had about a months worth of contacts and would need glasses and contacts. I again asked for an appointment before 9 AM. I was given an 8:40 AM appointment. On the day of appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early. I was greeted with a loud sigh and "Can I help you?" identified myself and was told my appointment was at 10:40. I explained the above and was again sighed at loudly with an eye roll. I was asked to make another appointment as they were too busy to work me In. I explained I now have two weeks of contacts left and was concerned about how soon I could get another appointment. I made the appointment and the receptionist said, " want me to write it down so you remember?" I said, "I remember making the appointment with you because I can identify the signing and attitude.". Enter the second employee who said" if you have a problem with something take your business elsewhere.". excuse me.... " it's not our fault you waited until you had two weeks of contacts left to make an appointment.". I attempted to explain and was told I was "hostile and needed to do business somewhere else.". I did and they lost 1400.00 of business, future business and my husbands business. zero stars. zero

I was told that this was the protocol and an ophthalmologist would be called in if she couldn't diagnose the problem. I had this eye infection for 3 months prior and had been given eye drops at the walk-in clinic in Memphis, MO with no results. Dr. Haisley prescribed different eye drops and said to call her the following week if it was not resolved. The issue was not any better. I called and she was sick the following week. No one returned my call the 2nd week either. I finally got in to see an ophthalmologist in Keokuk, IA. As I suspected, the issue was more complicated than an optometrist was trained for. He performed a surgical procedure to unblock a membrane growing over my tear duct. No drops would have fixed this issue!!! In the meantime, I'm stuck with a bill for $249.13 for a visit and lack of follow up that didn't help me. I already called Quincy Medical Group to explain/complain about the bill but I received an overdue notice today. It seems a racket that a patient has to be seen 1st by an optician rather than an ophthalmologist - let alone the cost involved including transportation since I live in a rural area.

He had three screening done during that time with long wait after they were done. The doctor entered the room and spent 5 minutes and 20 second. He said sorry for your wait. I responsed with "me too "we have been here for 2hours and 40 minutes to which he replied "I've been here all day and have seen 50 patients." I walked away then to prevent a longer stay Needless to say we will not reurn nor will anybody I know
