Coffee is good! Maybe it was just the day I was there, but no sugar substitute was available at the station. The atmosphere is good, music is pleasant and the staff were very friendly. More comfortable seating and larger tables would make spending time there a bit easier. I didn't end up staying with a friend for very long because the chairs were so hard! read more

As far as independent coffee shops in Saskatoon go, one of two Roastery locations seem to be the way to go. Free wi-fi, a kids play area, fish bowl room that was once a smoking room when that was still a thing... it's an alright place. I'm told the Roastery was the first place in Stoon to roast its own coffee beans, which makes it a premium blend above the rest in my books. You can see the kiln (or coffee roaster?) right smack dab in the middle of the shop. That's a treat! Although the same company, I somehow prefer the location on Broadway better. Though there's parking available in the back, the lot in the front is rather awkward to back out of with not a whole lot separating you from the cars whizzing along 8th street. I know, I know, nothing to do with the coffee, right? But parking and location is a thing too. In comparison, the other location adds up to 4 stars! read more

I needed a quiet coffee shop to study in and the Broadway Roastery came highly recommended as it had a separate room filled with tables that a lot of university students took advantage of for studying. I ordered an Italian soda and rice crispie square. The whole order came to just under $5. The place was clean enough; I used the men's washroom as the women's was out of order and wasn't totally grossed out. The Roastery has a lot of windows so I can see it being an okay place to study when it's not too warm out (I went on a particularly warm day and it felt like a greenhouse). The Italian soda had a a lot of ice in it and the soda was a bit flat so my drink wasn't particularly satisfying - that's what I get for ordering a non-coffee beverage at a roastery :P The square was awesome however, so I wasn't totally disappointed. Overall an okay place. It doesn't have the nicely decorated interior of a Starbucks but it's got way more character! read more

I love the atmosphere of this place. But sometimes the coffee tastes slightly burnt to me. But I do love the vibes inside. It's a great place for meetings, catching up with friends or studying. read more

They have really good coffee excellent hazelnut coffee nice and bright lots of room and if you want to buy beans they have that if you want them to grind it they'll do that it's a really good place to go read more

Its a fun place and I go there often but its got a few issues. There aren't any gluten free food options so I can't eat anything while I'm there. There are not enough outlets at all so people have to take turns charging their computers and phones. Also they kind of have faux roof thatching inside to create sort of huts to separate the spaces, sort of tacky but not a huge issue, the main issue is that the thatching is disgustingly dusty. It's incredibly thick, I'm not sure how they would clean it just that it needs to be cleaned. That being said the coffee is really good. I really like the Real Bean Vanilla Latte. I just wish it had a better set up for staying in. read more

My favorite place to go for coffee in this city by far, I have never been disappointed by the quality of any of their caffeinated beverages or pastry items. The atmosphere is really classy and you can usually meet some really nice and interesting people there. The staff are polite and quick at making your coffee, the quality is unreal too. If you've never been to a supreme coffee shop before then my suggestion is a medium café Broadway with a single shot of espresso. Or a green tea latte with a single shot of espresso on the side, I like my caffeine lol. Or an Italian soda with cream if you're caffeine free, my favorite is black cherry!! Their banana bread and red velvet cupcakes are delicious too Kinda funny how this location is the better one out of the two. The other one is on Broadway avenue but it is smaller and doesn't have as many items on their menu. Completely irrelevant though ! Check it out if you're expecting quality for your money! read more
