The Broadway Cafe and Restaurant is located just off Clifton Street near to where it meets Newport Road. Its situated amid a cluster of businesses, making it a little less isolated than it would otherwise be. Nevertheless, I rarely come here as it's always too easy to forget that it exists. (I'm usually reminded of its existence when I call in to collect my take-out from La La Zar a couple of doors down, but this is in the evening when the café is closed.)
Despite my infrequent custom the café seems to be doing well. (It just shows us how insignificant we all are, eh?!). I guess that its success is cemented by the fact that its been around for a few years and seems to have a local crowd of devotees that regularly frequent it. They serve freshly made tortilla wraps, sandwiches and baps, making them a firm favourite with the local 9 to 5 brigade. read more
