I loved this clinic and had been a client for many years. I'm not sure if it was sold to someone else, but their prices are much higher than it used to be and policy sounds pretty corporate nowadays. I brought my dog in for dental exam and the vet said that my dog needs to have teeth cleaning and possibly teeth extraction based on her visual exam. I asked for the costs and were told that the range would be ranged from $850 for cleaning to $2250 (they also emailed me the estimate). They told me that they cannot tell me how many teeth will be extracted until after the dental surgery. I asked whether the vet would be able to call me after the x-ray is done to discuss what teeth should be extracted, and I was told "No" unless at least ten teeth need to be extracted. Due to my limited budget, unfortunately, I cannot give them a blanket authorization to do whatever they want to my dog, and I certainly don't want them to pull up to 9 teeth from my dog without talking to me first. So sadly, I'll go elsewhere for this service. read more

Choosing next steps for an aging pet is never easy. I brought in my beloved Mikko (aged 15), a kitty that has been in my life since she was 5 weeks old (abandoned by her mom in my friend's back yard). The entire staff was absolutely amazing !!! I don't think I've ever been to a vet where EVERYONE involved in the process was kind, compassionate, considerate and warm. There was no pressure to decide on what to do with her remains (before or after)--- and the whole experience was filled with honor and what was best for kitty, as well as for me. All options were discussed (prioritizing the impact on kitty, as well as projected costs). The vet even sat on the floor with us (me & kitty) as we decided what might be best for her. Lastly, big love to the vet techs and front desk personnel who made me and Mikko feel like a priority. The way Broadview handles euthanasia and remains should be taught in every vet training program. Two dogs 30 years of coming to Broadview Animal Clinic. I couldn't read about this Clinic more while Dr. Davies was there unfortunately he moved to a different clinic in Westminster. My dog had slipped on the stairs and I took him in just to make sure he didn't fracture something. He was limping originally but by the day the appointment he was walking just fine. I didn't want to take a chance. They prescribed some medication two days later he was lethargic, drooling panting heavily. Immediately called and said I think the medication is wrong. The doctor argue with me. He suggested I doubled the dose? Couple days later he was getting worse so I called. I said it was an emergency and they said they couldn't get him in for two weeks.?? I explained I've been a customer for 30 years. If you couldn't they squeeze me in.? I was told no. There's a female doctor there who has a B 52 hairstyle who is really good unfortunately they wanted to put me in with the the same doctor. I said no. I then asked if she had a dog in which doctor she sees. I was informed the female doctor. Bellevue's animal clinic said they could get him in within two days. They went above and beyond and said if it looks like he needs attention before then there's a doggy urgent clinic across the street. We ended up taking him there. They then suggested that he go to the hospital immediately. He was in the hospital four days due to a toxic shock reaction from the medication. He's better now, just be wary. read more

We having been using Broadview for years and now it's time to find a new vet. We received email notification that our dogs were due for their yearly check ups and to bring stool samples for each one. We were shocked to find that since last year they doubled the price of a cytopoint shot to over $225 and also doubled the price of the heart worm shots. Then we were told it would be $100 each to check the stool samples after they made it seem like this would be free. This used to be a caring community oriented practice but they have sold out to the big corporations and now find it necessary to squeeze every last penny out of you. read more

Doctor Kvernmo is a newer doc at this practice and is absolutely lovely. I received care for my 7 year old golden who has gained some weight and has a couple new lumps and bumps. She was so kind and great at explaining things without being condescending or shaming. Her bedside was awesome, she listened and answered all of my questions, and was super sweet to my nervous big guy. Additionally, the tech that helped us was also so sweet and took some extra time to love on my boy- I don't remember her name but she was great. Broadview has been my vet for well over a decade. When I received vaccination reminders for my dogs, I called on May 12th to schedule an appointment. The appointment was scheduled for June 6th. I received appointment confirmation emails for each dog on June 1st. As I live in Commerce City, I normally take the day off for vet appointments, so I don't have to worry about travel time, appointment time, etc. so I had the 6th scheduled off of work. I received a call on June 4th that the appointments had to be rescheduled. At the time I was under the impression that Lady's rabies expired on June 10th. I expressed this to the lady I spoke to when the first appointment she offered was June 16th. I told her that I was concerned about Lady being unprotected because she is known to kill squirrels and squirrels carry rabies. I was told "I don't think she is going to get rabies in one week." I asked if she was a vet and she said no but she could ask a vet. My other dog, Rosie had to start over with a 1 year rabies because as a vet at Broadview explained to me, once the shot is expired, they are no longer protected. She then asked me if I could come in on the 6th at 7:30 a.m. which did not work for me. The lady told me that she had looked into it and found that Lady's rabies does not expire until June 19th. I told her I was already off work the 19th and 20th. She offered an 8:00 a.m. appointment on the 19th which did not work for me. I expressed my thoughts that I might have to find another vet as I have never been with the vet more than 15 to 20 minutes for their well checks and shots so I did not understand why an accommodation could not be made as it was not me who was canceling or rescheduling the appointment. Broadview has had to reschedule appointments with me in the past due to emergency surgeries, etc. but the employees I would speak to were very understanding that time and distance are a factor for me. I hung up undecided as to what I was going to do. My decision was made for me when within moments of hanging up, she emailed me the records for my dogs which indicated that Broadview was fine losing a long-time client. I got a text reminder of their need for shots today. It's with a heavy heart that I am asking to be removed from the reminders as I have found another vet that was accommodating with my needs when scheduling an appointment and seems to have the customer/client service that Broadview had when I started going there. read more

Yeah a hard pass on this vet. Came here long ago with previous pets and they were lovely. Now I would never take my fur babies back here again. I had a walk in and waited WHICH IS FINE. I get it completely. What I don't get is the lack of bedside manner and compassion /communication from dr Jason Rucker. My male cat isn't acting himself so I take him him. He pulls back his cheeks oh yeah, his gums are red. OK? What should I do about that? Oh, he might need a teeth cleaning gotcha. Then about his urinary issues oh yeah, most likely not a UTI. Could be crystals. Should change his diet to wet. OK ? He was extremely uninterested in answering any of my questions or concerns. My poor cat got two shots why oh and a prescription for gabapentin for when he comes back, comes back for what?? Try to ask the front desk girl he had charted anything and ended up being $130. So I spent all that time waiting around to have absolutely no answers and just get my cat shots. So definitely will not be returning here did leave a voicemail for the office manager, well see how this leads. read more

I had such a great experience with Broadview and Dr. Kvernmo. I took my Chihuahua there because I had seen them recommended online several times for affordable dental cleaning. I also wanted to do a mass removal for him at the same time. I had a ton of anxiety about this- both the cost and the fact that he is a senior dog. Dr. K had a great bedside manner, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. They were able to give me a clear cut estimate for the cost of the procedures. They were really able to work with me on scheduling, and moved up the procedure at one point-making my life way easier. When the time came they were really clear on communication and what I could expect- and then the procedure ended up being even more affordable than I was expecting. I was blown away! They didn't price gouge me on medication and my dog is healing up super well. Overall a great experience on something I lost a lot of sleep over. read more

I have taken both of my pups to broadview ever since I moved here in 2021. I'm writing this review because Dr. Rucker is awful. He is rude, condescending, lacks empathy (or even sympathy), and has zero compassion. Worst bedside I've ever seen. Every other doctor who has seen my pups has been lovely, especially the women. There seems to be high turnover of female doctors which concerns me for the work environment. My pups have had to see a new doctor almost every time they've visited (~4 times a year). The facilities are nice, the techs are nice, the front desk is lovely, and overall I've been happy. But please, for the love of god, do not book an appointment with Dr. Rucker. read more

First off.... I haven't slept much in weeks due to adopting a puppy and want to commend all other new pet owners for taking the plunge with me. We are basically the Walking Dead with our scarred/scabbed arms , holy clothes, and blank looks on our faces due to our new fur baby's Sharknado razor teeth thinking we taste better than a chew toy. Second... forgive me because I may be delirious while typing this (due to lack of sleep) so ignore any misspellings. Once I brought my fur baby home, I realized I needed to find a vet close to my house that wasn't too expensive and genuinely cares about all animals. I did a search on Yelp and this clinic had so many great reviews so I booked an appointment online immediately. I wasn't able to get in for two weeks and she needed her shots that week so I was a bit worried. After booking the appointment I emailed the office and asked them to contact me if they had any cancellations and they immediately responded and stated they have walk in hours from 8:30 - noon and to see if that worked better for me. I went in the next day at 8:30, notified the front desk I was outside waiting and within 45 minutes they were able to fit me in. We've been back many times for annual check ups and recently our 12 year old American Bulldog had a Mast Cell Tumor (tumor removal) with Dr. Caldwell she is kind and genuinely cares about our pets. From front desk check in to the surgery staff everyone was professional and effective. I would suggest coming here mid weekdays instead of weekends. After surgeries Broadview sells collar cone for $30 but I recommend buying a 'comfy cone' online before scheduling surgery. Lastly I like the honest pricing posted online and we feel confident coming here! read more

Writing this review makes me sad, but I must do it. I have established a decades-long relationship with Broadview. But as of today I will not be trusting the health and well-being of my furry family members with them. If you are looking for an animal clinic that you can set an appointment in the next month or two (because that's how long you'll most likely have to wait to get in) and you never experience an urgent need to get care, then by all means use Broadview. Their ability to provide services on a timely basis has deteriorated. Trying to do a walk-in in an urgent situation is futile. They will turn you away without even considering a referral somewhere else or how long you have trusted them with the care of your animals. The quality they provide is unfortunately heading in the wrong direction. Getting vet services for normal, routine reasons is something that most any clinic can provide. What really makes a clinic stand out is their ability to care about their clients, both the human ones and the furry ones, when there is an urgent medical situation. Broadview does not have the resources in place to provide timely care. On the other end of the spectrum is Evans East Animal Hospital. That's where I ended up finding the care I needed today. I have to say that I am thoroughly satisfied with every aspect of my experience with them. In addition, they are following covid protocols which I appreciated. I had an appointment with Dr. Russell today. I'm very disappointed. My cat was very, very nervous as you can imagine, when an animal goes to the vet, some of them do get nervous. She was so nervous, she was meowing, constantly, and even panting. Dr. Russell was in the room, talking to me not doing a procedure, just talking about why I brought her in today. And I was petting her to try and keep her calm. After about 20 seconds, Dr. Russell asked me if I can stop petting my cat, and he said, it's because he has autism, and it's triggering his autism. Now I'm sensitive to the fact he has autism, but it is very unprofessional to ask someone to stop petting their animal when you're trying to keep them calm, because they're very nervous. So after we're done talking, he leaves the room to get the stuff. He needs to do the procedures. I brought her in for and um, and the he again, asked me to stop petting my cat when I am holding her and trying to keep her calm while they do the procedure. I didn't, of course, because she was so nervous. Dr. Russell then said that it's fucking bs that I'm petting my cat after he told me he has autism and it's making his autism flare up. I told him that's your problem, not mine. I'm paying for the service and I'm trying to keep my cat calm, so you deal with your issues, and I'll handle keeping my cat calm. In summary, I would never let Dr. Russell, see my cat again. That's his bedside manor and his people's skills are very poor. Hopefully, a manager reads this and takes corrective action. read more

Broadview Animal Clinic has neglected two of my dogs resulting in death. Most recently my dog Rex was seen by Jason Rucker, who neglected my dog by not telling me he had cancer. He has passed away due to a rupture in his heart from cancerous mass that was surely found by the clinic but not attended to. Never trust your dogs in this clinic. They prefer older animals to suffer until they die, and take your money with useless surgeries. They don't care about senior animals, only puppies and kittens because that is where the money is. read more

My lil girl has been having major stomach issues over the past few months. Leisl has recently seen a couple of vets at other facilities but after working with Dr. Kubaki I made the decision that she was the veterinarian that Leisl would see permanently. Beyond Dr. Kubaki being extremely knowledable, she's caring and shows true concern for not only Leisl's wellbeing but makes sure that I understand why she chooses the treatments she does. I truly appreciate the open communication that I am able to have with Dr. Kubaki. When I have concerns I am able to call her and leave a message knowing that she will get back to me with an answer. This is something that I have not been able to do at other vet clinics. The front desk people and the techs have been great as well. read more

They offer walk in service which is definitely a service but they do not have their information updated on their website, and are not doing Walk ins wednesdays or fridays. Showed up bright and early on Wednesday and was told that they do do this and the manager doesn't want to update the website, despite the fact they have other current closures and information posted there, and we haven't had issues before. Wow. Great service. All vets are business and tasking necessary precautions for everyone safety. This place offers walk-in Monday-Saturday between 8-12. (Note that it's due to volume and can close earlier.) The staffers inform to arrive by 7 and someone will check-in you by your car. Appointments so start until 8am, so be patience, they will inform you of your placement number. My pup was due for a Puppy wellness and vaccinations exam. We were #11 and arrived around 7:45am on a Saturday morning. We got a friendly call about 9:30am telling us where to meet the nurse. The vet answered all of my questions and spend the time to calm my puppy for his first shot and vet visit. I never felt rushed during the whole process, so be patience if you're awaiting your turn (as a walk-in). The techs, nurses, staff and vets were all super friendly. Shared all of their treats with my pup and spoiled him during the whole visit. My car battery died and my phone was low on battery. They shared their cable cord so I could charge and wait for car service. Entertained my dog so I could handle arrangements to get car support. read more

I've already done a review on this vet for another doctor here when I was bringing in my almost 15 year old Maine Coon kitty but I just adopted a puppy and wanted to add who I've been seeing now. Dr. Emily Hill is AMAZING. I don't even want to get into all the details on why she's so awesome and been an amazing vet (because there'd be too many things to list lol). I'm just going to say that she literally might be the coolest, sweetest, best person that has ever lived. I can understand being VERY busy when the cheapest place for miles... but there is no rhyme or reason to how they do things here. I arrived to drop of my pet at 0700 as requested. I was the second car in the lot. Despite that, their employee checking people in just walks out and starts going in order from the door. The number to check-in is off (they don't open until 0730). People JUST arriving now free to leave for work while those is us that planned ahead have to wait. Seems small, but it's ridiculous and I'm very annoyed. Park in the earliest number you can, 1 if possible, they seem to go in order but neglect to tell anyone that. read more

Lets start here, Dr.Rucker. Not a very nice or kind Dr to my fur baby. They gave him a barium, which some how ended up all over him! Not only that he did not introduce himself to dog. Then he disappeared for 45 minutes after saying it would only be 15-20 minutes. Some lady also aggressively lofted my dog. Then they proceeded to put a muzzle on him after he stayed calm and did nothing. Overall, i would not recommend this place. read more

Our 11 year old Lab had a mass on her that got an abscess on it. We took her to an ER clinic where they tried to drain it. It got super infected. That clinic quoted us $5,000 to get it removed. At that time we were trying to figure out what to do. We were contemplating putting her down when we ran into a friend who recommended Broadview! They quoted us $500-$700 for the same surgery the other clinic quoted us on. Broadview got her in the next morning for surgery. The surgery ended up being $353. I still can't believe how affordable they were! They took great care of my girl and saved her life! I'm so grateful for them. I will definitely be sending all my family and friends here!! If I could give this clinic a zero I would. I've never given a vet clinic a review, but I feel the absolute requirement to do so. The front desk has the worst customer service skills I've ever encountered. I'm generally a reasonable customer since I've worked in several restaurants and with the public. Let me start off by saying, the front desk crew throws you on hold without answering the phone. I submitted a prescription request through 1-800-PETMEDS under my name, but since our vet account is under my husband's name (same last name, same address), the vet had not refilled our prescription. How did I find out? By me calling and asking about it. She told me my phone number had a balance, which was untrue since we clearly did not have an account under my name - hence the whole prescription hiatus - and we always pay our balance upon checkout. Once I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was put on hold and eventually hung up on. When I tried to call back, they threw me on hold and never responded. After eight calls of trying to get my dog's prescription request sorted out, I headed up to the clinic. I assumed perhaps they were so busy it was tough to speak on the phone. When I got there, there were two cars in the parking lot. All three front desk staff were "working", but only the man up front helped me. He was clearly not the woman who hung up on me previously, but I'm sure he was given my number to flag when I called. I finally got my request from 1-800PETMEDS switched over to my husband's name later that morning. We called the following day and still were being put on hold. My husband tried calling from his work phone, and was able to get right through to someone. They were clearly screening our calls - the most infuriating part is they were delaying my dog's health! I will absolutely never go here again I will scream from the rooftops to urge everyone else not to go here either. It's a shame, but customer service is customer service. Time to fire the petty front desk staff who are losing all your customers. Perhaps a job where they do not encounter the public, can be unprofessional, and don't need to control their emotions is best. Save your time and energy, go anywhere other than Broadview! read more

Broadview has competitive pricing and dr. Davies is amazing. However, I believe the clinic has taken on too many patients and it seems to be difficult to get an appointment with dr. Davies. If you get scheduled with Zale then I would strongly encourage you to see another vet. Especially if you're taking in an older pet or a new puppy/kitten who really needs to be seen by a vet who is dialed in and willing to perform a thorough wellness exam. I had the misfortune of scheduling with dr. Zale on more than one occasion. My experience with Zale was that he was frequently running 20-30 mins late, his bedside manner was severely lacking, & he seems to be completely checked out and disinterested in his job. read more
