July 2025 started request to switch to their Internet to save money. No response after weeks....they said their online request system had a glitch..started again while in their office..asked for expedite since it was their fault..they agreed..still nothing...wound up cancelling...months later they show up and start tearing up 3 yards including mine...I told them I had cancelled..they came back the next day after digging and shaking the house all day before to finish at box..I asked them if I needed to move 7 mums. It was October..they said no only have digging a little trench...next thing I know they have an excavator...hole winds up 6 feet deep and about 10 feet by 15. Broke my water meter...no water for about 5 hours...I finally called water authority who had to come fix it. Late January they hook up several gigantic cables to the box even though order was cancelled. Cables are about 20 plus feet long all over yard...I asked manager to have them removed.. nearly 2 months later still laying there. read more

We were AMAZED at the professionalism and speed of the response team to our house when we had our transformer fail... We called and within 30 minutes (on a Saturday night in the dark) they arrived and identified the issue witin minutes.. THANK YOU to Cody Shelton and Desten Belmares (I apologize to 3rd gentlemen, didn't get your name)... You saved the day as we didn't have any power or lights... I purchased a property and called BREMC to check the power to make sure it was there and available they came out and said yes its here so i schedule install after about 6 months they call me and say i need to pay more for wires missing wtf you said it was there now its not and want me to pay more very typical of yall you never did your job and instead of calling me and ta;lking to me rudely and refusing to have your supervisor call me you should be fixing the problem and next time a customer calls please go check. will be taking this as far as i need to go to get to the bottom we have had nothing but trouble with bremc one thing after another from service to pricing I would avoid service area with bremc they are rude bc they know you cant go else where. even more disapointed in bremc then before its never a good ending with yall you really need to get your stuff straight. will be happy to discuss what happened and go on paper please reach out to me enough is enough! read more

After using Florida Power & Light 4 many years I found them fair and accommodating to customers. By comparison BREMC is a RUTHLESS provider of a required utility that has no very little concern for the customer. They have a MULTI-MILLION headquarters but I found use unscrupulous tactics, Flex Pay that would help the poor is only allowed after 2 years of unblemished service, No Cutoff's, No Late Penalties, the people who need it most most likely can't do this. Internet, what I asked for and what I got was a bait & switch. 30MB on a 2 year, Got 50mb on monthly 42.95 vs 69.95 monthly. Went back & in a rude and under tone of anger they replied "You should have read what you signed" I thought you were having me sign what I asked for, well read it this time. The CS is not actually to blame, I asked questions about the service and they replied we do not have that information, BREMC keeps them in the dark so they can do the dirty work. SHAME on BREMC for taking advantage of an area where rural communities are very poor, I know as I help them. Poor, Widowed, Elderly left to fend for themselves. BREMC NEEDS to TAKE a LESSON from FPL. FPL is 10 Stars compared to this sad example of Corporate GREED. Ti's the Monopoly in POWER and INTERNET (unless you want dial up) that gives them the POWER RAPE IT'S CUSTOMERS. read more
