This laundromat was very clean and came in handy when the washing machine broke down…read more The employees keep the facility very clean and during the few hours I was here I saw them sweeping & moping the floors. There was laundry detergent spilled on the floor and if that was not caught, it could have ruined someone's clean clothes or been a safety hazard while transporting clothing. Great catch you guys. I also felt comfortable here. The parking lot was busy, but I was able to get in up close and find a washing machine to quickly start laundry. The prices were decent, but being completely transparent, I have not had to utilize a laundromat in a really long time. I like the area, because there were plenty of food places to grab lunch while my clothes were washing. Tables were high enough & baskets rolled well. Although it was an unfortunate situation for my washing machine to go out, this facility made that hardship able to be easily accomplished.

This laundromat is consistently dirty - trash cans are always full, and random garbage and clothing…read moreare often left on tables, machines, and in baskets. The machines are poorly maintained: about half are out of order, and the ones that do work are dirty, with a noticeable buildup of detergent and fabric softener in the dispensers. I've been here multiple times over the past year and have never seen a staff member on-site. I'm not sure how the prices compare to other laundromats...it's $5.00 for a load in the largest washer and $0.25 for every 4 minutes in the large dryers. I continued using this place only because it's the closest to my apartment, but I'll definitely be finding a new laundromat as soon as possible.

I visited here based on some local reviews that spoke highly of the business after the new owner…read morerenovated it. They were right. Although I can't compare it to how it looked before, I can confidently say it's one of the nicest laundromats I've seen. The parking lot was spacious and clean. Walking in, I was immediately impressed at how clean it was on the inside. The owner was onsite and he was so very friendly and helpful when I had questions. Two vending machines are available, multiple change machines, stools for the short people like myself, benches to sit on, tables to fold on, plenty of natural light, a clean bathroom, cool AC, and an easily visible sign with the WiFi password. Thankfully I don't need to come often, but when I do, I will DEFINITELY visit The Soapbox Laundromat in Jamestown!

I don't think I have ever had a problem with my clothing here. Nothing lost, stolen, stained, burnt or coming home with busted buttons. All in all this is a great place with reasonable rates. My only complaint about this place, and nothing can really be done about it, is that it is so hard to get out of if you are trying to turn left on Eastchester.
