So, for you guys out there who love vintage fashion, this shop is well worth a visit since as you probably already know it's so hard to find a place like this that caters to men as well as women. There's a boatload of stuff here to pick through. There are some really loaded racks of dresses, skirts, and blouses for women, and shirts and trousers for men. They also sell handbags, shoes, belts, and other vintage accessories for men and women. I found a really pretty pink flower child type dress that I so wanted to take home with me and worship. But I'm a starving writer at the moment and can't justify the purchase. So I hope it's still there when I go back. Another fairly sullen shop guy behind the counter, but he wasn't rude, and sometimes overly chatty staff can be annoying, so I wasn't too bothered. Over all, a really great vintage shop.

Kind Charity Shop in Bold Street is one of the largest charity shops I have been to. In here they…read moresell a charming collection of items that make the perfect little gift. Anything from mugs, 'The Beatles' picture frames and football memorabilia, they have here. The shop is quite spacious with several welcoming staff that greet you with a smile each time you enter. All prices in general are cheap with all funds going towards a good cause for helping local families and children. This shop offers more variety than most of the smaller charity shops as they fit in items such as ornaments, clothes and crockery. As well as that, they have the usual suspects like children's books and videos. The shop generates a good browse whenever passing by, because there is always something new in the window display. And sometimes, these items can be quite unique.

This will not be the typical charity shop that you will be expecting. The reason I find it weird is because this place gives me the creeps but in an interesting fashion! It is almost Adams family like in nature and I used to love the Adams family! The store has now moved to a bigger location after it had to be closed due to the Paradise Street Project in 2008. How wrong I was! It's a gorgeous set-up with chandeliers and fabric draped across the ceiling with luxurious silky curtains. It reminded me of a princess's dressing room (and boy does she have good taste!) No two items are the same and they choose only the finest quality vintage outfits, none of that run of the mill 'I'll have to sew that here, and take that up there' nonsense. They not only sell vintage but also designer and upcoming labels which are all mixed together on the rails, hanging lovingly side by side could be a stunning designer dress and a 1920s vintage piece. The price ranges are as varied as the styles with dresses ranging from £20 to around £500 so everyone has the opportunity to buy their little piece of unique clothing! The accessories were amazing, they had headbands, brooches, rings, earrings... all sorts of little gems that would be great as gifts or as a personal treat, now these were the real bargains, all carefully handpicked and oh so cheap. Forget the common Topshop dresses and the outfit clashes and purchase some top quality threads from a boutique that will make you feel like royalty. Actually, they sell musical instruments, sports gear and other outdoor related gear. Weirdness galore. I think this is a pretty good shop for sports gear but I was kind of creeped out by it and didn't really comfortable enough to spend much time browsing around.

Beautifully decorated like an old Hollywood actress's attic, Somewhere has wooden floorboards, old cabinets packed with jewellery and accessories and lots of old black and white photos that give it a genuine boho feel. There's racks of incredible vintage dresses, skirts, suits, blouses, knitwear and coats dotted everywhere you look and a few select dresses hanging from the ceiling. I can't claim to be be able to spot an Ossie Clark dress from a hundred feet but I can tell that the owner of SIT is clearly a dedicated fashion follower that has encylopediac knowledge of different styles and periods in fashion history.

Somewhere in time is a vintage clothing shop and antique shop in one. Here you will find vintage dresses in excellent condition, like the 1940's white tennis dress I spied, as well as vintage shoes with a lot of wear left in them, and all kinds of antiques from hardcover books to teacups. Some neat collectable items I spotted: antique dollhouse furniture, cute earrings and other costume jewellery, and a shelf of classic novels. The staff was a lot of fun and just a general good vibe in here! It's super amusing to me how friendly the shopkeepers are in every town we visited. I know that a lot of their income is from tourists but it seems they go above and beyond to help you. This shop was along one main though fare that led to this bombed out church at the of street. It was on Joe's list of things he wanted to see. This street stretched out for a mile with tons of interesting shops, there was even a thrift store where I purchased a pair of flip-flops for 2 quid! Resurrection has slowly taken over Drome's mantle as Liverpool's number one independent retailer, reflecting the city's changing fashion tastes and as it has done so, steadily expanding its premises and range. The men's fashion primarily falls into two categories of modern, urban wear - what with your hoodies and printed, pop-culture t shirts n that - and vintage clothing - old clothes. Within these there is plenty that can be found for all tastes as long as you are veering towards the casual side of things and like more independent, smaller names. The trainers aren't quite as varied as some other retailers but as the store has recently expanded there's no reason to suggest that Resurrection doesn't have its eyes set on dominating the Liverpool fashion scene completely.

This particular Sue Ryder store is lovely; with its huge windows and pure white walls it's bright,…read morelight and airy and, because most of their stock is in good condition and is constantly changing, the shop is always very fresh. I only recently discovered that Sue Ryder was a national charitable organisation, I had thought, perhaps due to the quaintness of this store, that this was a locally based charity. Still, it's funded and run by locals. The staff are quite possibly the nicest I have ever encountered, nothing is too much trouble and they're always so, so grateful, to the point that I am shamefaced for just buying a copy of Wham! for a quid as a joke for a friend. I usually visit charity shops for books: university texts and leisure reads, and Sue's has never really been of use, I don't think books is it's forte, but there's always lots of kids toys (no not for me) and beautiful doll's houses (yes, for me) and if you look through there's often some designer clothes mixed in. I once picked up a stunning hat for the races in here: very Audrey Hepburn!
