The first-class lounge isn't vastly better than the business lounge upstairs. But if you qualify, use it. Why? The exclusive first class check-in and security lane is a blessed relief from the queues outside--yes, even the fast track queues in the main body of the terminal.
Not only are there many fewer travellers in line, but the space available to disassemble and recompose yourself really eases frayed nerves. And there's a corridor direct from security into the lounge, so you needn't dodge the duty-free shopping crazed tourists.
Almost worth springing for a first-class ticket for this benefit alone.
The lounge proper is comfy enough, and the choice of food is pretty good. It goes beyond snacks; you can get a proper meal.
But beware that it's a real hike to B and C gates. read more
