We went here a few weeks ago during our holiday visit to my sister's place. This place is enormous and you could literally spend hours here without your kids getting bored regardless of what they're into. My kid's fav was probably the ball area and the echoing room. I went in the tape slide thing with him to start and have a few warnings about that thing lol. The only way not to slide backwards walking up the enormous incline the tubes are on is to go barefoot and ... gross lol. If you have a little one like me, esp one who is overly cautious on this sort of stuff and won't do it alone, be aware that you'll both get run over in that thing by kids on their own running around. My son could barely get inside without getting knocked over. The slide itself is really steep and goes super fast, so I wouldn't have wanted him to go down it alone. Needless to say, we only climbed around in that tape thing once lol. The place is crazy clean for being a giant play structure. The bathrooms were clean, too. The temp outside that day was cold AF, and they kept in comfy inside so you weren't sweating to death in winter clothing running around. I don't know what I thought was the coolest as an adult because truly, this place has so much to offer. Probably the echo room was the most neat to me because it was super interactive AND required little parent participation haha. My mom is in a wheelchair and she was able to get around in there just fine and was able to be safe off to the side, but still get to see everything perfectly well, so I appreciated that aspect a lot.

Museum hours are 9 AM to 4 PM and we leisurely drove in at 10 AM on a Thursday thinking that would be more than enough time to experience all they have to offer. Boy, were we wrong! Started with the indoor experiences in the Main Street area spending a minimum of 15 minutes to a maximum of 45 minutes per room(could easily have been more if we weren't trying to experience the whole thing, FOMO). Our favorites were the bubble factory(kids can encase themselves into a giant bubble!) and the grocery store with a pizza oven. Once we moved on from Main Street, we went to Explorer's Hall where there's a faux camping area, real life airplane cockpit, climbing wall, sand area with dinosaur fossils, and aquarium where we spent close to an hour. Broke for lunch at the cafe there where the food is terrible but edible(which we were expecting so no points lost there). Orders are placed thru an app, which didn't work for us due to poor signal so ordered at the front desk instead. Explored upstairs afterward, which had a STEM area which was the most enjoyable place for our 7 year old. Compressed air pipes, kinetic energy ball machines, bed of nails etc. Our 4 year old went to Roessler Hall downstairs, which had a large slide and water mill play area that kept her occupied for some time. Finally, we went to the outdoor exhibits which are fairly sizable in their own right. We started off with a train ride that leaves at the top of every hour. It's a good way to get a feel for everything offered outside(especially when the weather is hotter) to help pick and choose what's worth doing. There's playground areas, a sensory garden, walking trail/pond among other things. Overall, the visit was above my expectations and I would come back again for a day trip!

The shark tunnel was definitely the highlight walking through while sharks swim all around you is such an awesome experience. What made it even better was how much my 2 year old loved it. He was completely into all the fish and didn't want to leave. After we finished going through the aquarium, there's a nice playground outside that he had a blast on, which was the perfect way to wrap up the visit.

A lot of amazing things from their end. Along with this very museum, there is a lot. It'll take maybe half a day or more than a field trip. There are many relics, articles, and artifacts to look at. I'm a US ARMY veteran, so this is a legitimate source of history for those who are invested in the past days of our US ARMED FORCES. The guides are full of knowledge and are willing to provide answers to your inquiries. I must warn you, you gotta add to the swear jar. So watch your P's and Q's. Have a great time. All branches of the military are represented - Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, National Guard, Coast Guard, Special Forces, etc. And there's special areas of dedication to Oklahomans who served!!! I can only imagine how proud their family and friends must be! The museum is located on the Main Street in Broken Arrow and adorned with flags in front. The inside is very well kept and has several rooms and hallways filled with wartime memorabilia. It's a must-see for residents and travelers of all ages. There's so much history in one place, not to mention, the staff enjoys interacting with visitors and sharing great stories. Visit this nostalgic sight and take a walk back in time! You'll want to return with others and share your experience!

We visit many museums across the country and have an ASTC passport membership and have visited…read moreseveral science museums. Be aware that if you use your ASTC Passport, it only covers two adults and two children, and it's a fairly expensive fee to get in. This museum is very large and has a couple dozen areas to explore, like weather, electricity, space, dinosaurs, fitness, pendulums, etc. The whole museum is hands-on, which our kids loved. Unlike other science museums, there are no actual artifacts here (like fossils), only replicas. Many of the exhibits are fairly outdated and many of the interactive components aren't working. It's also really dirty and worn-out. The foam blocks upstairs are filthy with brown gunk on them, and giant Battleship is also really yucky. It's almost a Chuck-E-Cheese meets science feel. It feels like the whole setup is unnecessarily spread out, but that may be to accommodate busy weekend or school crowds. One nice feature is that the planetarium is free, and has several different presentations throughout the day. Our family members that don't get motion sickness went and really enjoyed it. Best planetarium we've been to anywhere, and the presenter was excellent. In all, this was a mixed bag for us. Since the pace is so frenetic with things to do, and very light on information (like plaques or movies), we didn't feel like we learned much, but the kids did have a blast. I would definitely not pay full-price to come, but it was a nice place to spend a hot afternoon. For what it's worth, so far our favorite is the science museum in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The Outsiders is one of my favorite books and movies…read more I knew some of it was filmed on location in Tulsa, but I didn't think the house where Patrick Swayze famously performed a handstand out front was still there. It is - and so is the extra pole that was added to the fence after it buckled during the first take. The inside is quaint, semi recreated and jam packed with memorabilia from the film. I loved the bedroom that recreates the setting where Ponyboy read Johnny's letter, which inspired him to write his English essay. I also loved all the random movie posters, candid photos and movie costumes - especially the autograph wall. The volunteers - who are strategically stationed around the property are the best. They're happy to talk all things book, movie and Tulsa related. If you're nice - they'll tell you about Crutchfield Park, which is just down the street and where the Greaser / Soc rumble was filmed.

I'll admit it--I don't consider myself a huge car enthusiast. I couldn't tell you every make, model, or engine size, but I certainly know a beautiful automobile when I see one. This museum is filled with them. My favorite was the gorgeous 1957 Chevy Bel Air, while the award-winning Chip Foose custom 1965 Impala absolutely stopped me in my tracks. What really surprised me were all the nostalgic touches beyond the cars. The vintage Seeburg jukebox, original drive-in movie speaker, old Route 66 signs, and classic memorabilia brought back memories of a different era. It felt like stepping back in time. The funniest part of our visit had nothing to do with cars. While I wandered through the museum reading displays and taking photos, my wife did what she does best--started chatting with another visitor. I eventually caught up to find the two of them laughing like old friends. A few minutes later we were shaking hands, exchanging phone numbers, and talking about meeting for dinner sometime since they have family near Edmond. That's Route 66 in a nutshell--you never know who you'll meet. Even if you're not a die-hard car person, I'd recommend stopping here. The museum is beautifully displayed, easy to walk through, and offers a wonderful mix of classic cars, nostalgia, and Americana. It turned out to be one of those unexpected highlights that made our Route 66 adventure even more memorable. Tip: Take your time and read the information cards next to the cars. They add a lot to the experience, especially if you're like me and appreciate the stories as much as the automobiles. (I hate that I can't organize my photos )
