Wonderful staff in the box office and throughout this theater! We got two tickets to see the afternoon show of second city comedy !! It was a wonderful afternoon filled with giggles and chuckles. Seeing the next generation of comedy superstars! "The Second City: Comedian Rhapsody" consists of sassy sketch comedy, songs and, of course, their trademark improvisation. They made up skits and jokes right on the spot. Delightful. Less than 2 hours. 1 intermission. Beautiful venue with a wonderful view of the Delaware river . The staff and ticket people were great ! But the show wasThe Alibi, it was not anything to clap for .There was no build up of sounds of suspence or surprise or drama and all the actors going in and out of doors I said not again, so disappointing . My son gave me tickets and my husband we had to leave I couldn't take it . I really would like a refund please ... I also used a Cain up all the stairs. Went to see The Rivals, a play from the 1700's. The source of malapropisms. Pretty funny. We were in the first row right center. The theater is small but comfortable. We have been here before. It is a nice place to see a show and of course not as expensive as New York or Philadelphia, or as far away from where we live. Acting was lively and good. Some strong voices out there. Mrs Malaprop was hilarious although there were so many malapropisms it was hard to keep up. Lucy is quite the little devil. I had forgotten the whole story it was great to see the whole thing again. This was quite a local find! I went here to see 25th annual Putnam county spelling bee and it was wonderful and hilarious. So many pluses to this awesome theater- here's some of the major ones: 1. Pricing: very reasonable- even better deals for season tickets or students 2. Actors: very professional & extremely entertaining/talented 3. Staff/volunteers: incredibly friendly 4. Theater: cosy, comfortable, really no bad seats and can see the stage well from all over 5. Parking- lot available that is right next to the theater and is free (or may have been a very low meter) 6. The actual show was on par with a broadway version for a fraction of the cost. So excited to find this place, and I will most certainly be returning for future shows. read more

We traveled from Monroe Twp. to this quaint little town to enjoy a Riverview luncheon , followed by window shopping through the quaint town - stopping for a cappuccino at Bristol's coffee shop . I hadn't seen the movie in more than 25 years, however the actors were so good- I recognized each character! I was glad that I had forgotten the ending - adding to the excitement of the audience as they rose for a standing ovation, just loving the whole experience! read more

Very poor public relations. We bought tickets early for a show and then received a 50% off coupon for the same show. The theater would do nothing to compensate us for the difference in the price, saying that we got a military discount. Our tickets with that discount were $47, with the discount they would have been $31.50. Not really honoring the military. They told us that they did it to increase interest in the show. I guess they don't really care about regular customers who buy tickets in advance. read more

Went 10/8 to see a play titled "A Leg Up". Cost $116 for 2 tickets. Billed as an outrageously funny play about a malfunctioning prosthetic leg, A rich guy who goes broke funding the leg, his maid, his mistress, his wife, his Leg business associates and a Senator. We needed a good laugh, so we went. BUT they never told us it was really about everything that goes against our religion and our upbringing. Gay Sex, Lesbian Sex, Transgender Sex, Infidelity. About everyone in the play went to bed with everyone else. Women, half naked, frolicking in bed with each other, Gay Men passionately kissing on stage. There should have been a disclaimer in the flyer and email to warn that it dealt with these subjects. Most TV shows will advise one in advance to the subject matter. Not Good Bristol Theatre!! Not good at all. We do not care what others do behind closed doors, BUT don't sneak it in and try to jam it down OUR throats. Want to do a little social engineering? Do it on someone else's money. We have not been to the Theatre since the Pandemic. After this we will most likely never go again! read more

We've been to several performances, all very professionally performed, most recently Gilbert & Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance" and Alan Safier's one-man tour de force "HUMBUG!". Reminds me of the small town theatre in my hometown where I grew up, but a quick drive from downtown Philly, and right on the banks of the Delaware in charming Bristol (take a walk along the river and nearby park before or after the play). They also do original productions. ~300 seats in two levels, so quite intimate. Depending on the show, tickets can be $10-$50 (may also have a student discount). Easy parking in the open air lot next door. Limited food/drinks in the lobby. There are a number of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but I haven't been to any and so can't make any recs. I love this Theatre ! Very cosy and friendly audience and service! Most of the shows and plays that they have are very famous! Sometimes they have free snacks and drinks! Me and hubby see a lot of plays. Hey, what are we going to do now that we don't go clubbing anymore? Matinees that's the ticket. A nice matinee, an early dinner, and home by 8:00. Anyway, I like this theater. Every seat is a good seat. The actors and productions have been very professional and its by the river so in the summer its nice to go early and sit outside while waiting for the show to begin. Have a glass off wine - $5, cheap by most theater standards ($9-$11) The concession prices can't be beat. We've seen two productions here and plan to see many more in the future. read more

First time here seeing The Producers. Great show, talented professional actors, friendly staff, beautiful cozy theater. We caught the matinee then followed it with dinner at Jules on Market (highly recommend). We love Bristol and look forward to more shows at the theater. Gelato, candy, salty snacks, soda, beer and wine available which was perfect. read more

I caught Jesus Christ Superstar tonight. If you are not attending a community theater like this, you are missing out on life. This particular production could take the Pepsi Challenge against anyone from Broad Street to Broadway. 100% recommend. Unrelated, I ran into some of the cast after the show. They were super nice. My first time at this Playhouse and I loved it. Small venue where every seat is excellent. Jesus Christ Superstar was the best ever. Music was incredible. Acoustics are awesome. Many of the players are direct from New York, very professional. Love the Theater itself too. read more

Yesterday I was privileged to see Lost in Yonkers and believe me the cast reached out and took me with them on the most wonderful journey. Their performance made me feel like a member of the family and I became so involved with each one of them and the telling of your story. David Goldman and Kyle Klein were a joy to watch and Joy Franz slowly opened my heart to her deepest feelings. Bella (Eleanor Handley) brought tears to my eyes and (Danny Vaccaro) was a joy Louie. Each member of this company was without a doubt a star on that stage and as for sets they were great. This Theater in Bristol is a breath of fresh air and that everyone needs with the world running in high gear.
