I really liked my chicken sandwich with roasted peppers. The experience of purchasing it was not as enjoyable. One server was very nice, but she kept forgetting what she was doing as he older lady on the register was confused and needed help. With another few breakfast options down in the food court. I ordered the breakfast croissant with egg, cheese and bacon. The coffee selection was pretty standard. Service wasn't uber friendly, though it was 7am-- so I get it. Pricing wasn't outrageous. This isn't necessarily the kind of place that I would recommend grabbing your snacks at the airport , but if you're in a hurry , this might just be your spot. They definitely have coffee covered and a selection of pastries, including pain au chocolat, which is what my husband and I both got, but I think I saw some bagels in there, too. And maybe a muffin.... I think the service is your standard service that you can get at airport kiosks. The two ladies that were in there working didn't really care one way or another what was going on there. They're just trying to make it through their day. I can't say that the coffee is piping. Hot and on the side , they have your turbinado, sugars, and your half-n-half , but no sweet-n-low, unfortunately. And let's not forget the airport ambiance that is ever present at chicago o'hare. I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for our morning coffee. This Brioche Doree is located right across from gate C20 and is a stand in the concourse. Attached to it is a Sur Le Pounce on the fly which has some quick food you can grab quickly. Then the Brioche Doree has a display case with a number of pre-made sandwiches in it and ovens behind the counter for warming them. Beyond that they also offer coffee and a number of different espresso drinks. For my coffee on this morning i went with a large latte while my wife had a regular coffee and a croissant with ham, egg and cheese. There wasn't a line whenever I placed my order and from order until walking away took maybe 4 minutes. The latte here ended up being pretty good as you could taste both the rich coffee and the milk with neither one overwhelming the other. My wife also enjoyed her sandwich here (which was warmed and looked good) and said that she especially liked how fluffy the eggs were. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I enjoyed my latte, my wife's sandwich looked good and it was somewhat reasonably priced as far as airport food goes. read more

I walked up to the girl and kindly asked if they did iced coffee, all she did was point to her coworker like she was prompting me to ask her like she couldn't answer my question herself. So I slid down to the next girl and ordered with her meanwhile the other one just stood there with a major attitude doing absolutely nothing to help. She was the one who handed me my food and didn't say a word and practically threw it at me. I was gonna tell her coworker to let her know she needed an attitude check but it simply was not worth it. The customer service could definitely improve, though. As others mentioned, staff there are so very rude. If I ask how much an item is please scan it and let me know. I expected better since this Chicago O'Hare Airport cafe had a fancy sounding name and the items in display looked good, but the experience was just average. I had a chocolate croissant which tasted very run of the mill, kind of like a mass produced pastry. There was an odd gap in the pastry display where I assume there should have been additional items. There are many options for drinks, snacks, candy, and sandwiches as well, but I found it odd that none of the cold drinks and some of the candy/snack items did not have prices listed. Sure, it's an airport quick service place and somewhat higher prices are expected, but at least be transparent in your pricing rather than have customers only find out what they're paying when rung up. read more

Had a flight out of gate C21 and decided to grab some breakfast here, as it's located right at the gate. My banana nut muffin had a ginormous muffin top that was slightly burned and dry. But once I got through the top, the rest of the muffin was pretty moist and tasty. My cappuccino came piping hot and was almost too hot to drink, but I downed it anyway, as I am always too impatient to wait for my coffee to cool down. The steamed milk was nice and creamy, and I didn't even need to add any sweetener to my drink. And I already started feeling the caffeine jolt before I even finished my beverage. She got into an unnecessary back and forth with a gent recovering from a cold. The guy clearly asked for something toasted but was given a cold product. When he mentioned the error he got a lot of attitude. To the point where, for those of us within earshot were thinking.. really?? (Cruise reviews and you will see others that have encountered similar situations.) As others have stated, pricing was reasonable. I was lucky to find a cheap bottle of water under $3 dollars. Add to that an egg, ham & cheese croissant and regular coffee and my total was less than $13 dollars. With a bit of time before my flight I was able to find a seat at an unused gate to down my purchases. At the Brioche stand they have one short round table with two seats. My first early morning review ever. And it's not by choice. Came here during a layover at Chicago O'Hare and found that compared to some of the other food places here, it was reasonably priced. I got a small cup of coffee and a ham, egg, and cheese croissant for $7. They heated and baked the croissant after I ordered it and it was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of brown. The sandwich itself was was on rye bread which was appreciated and was already pre-made, but the staff member behind the counter asked me if I wanted it heated up. I definitely appreciated that she asked rather than just serving it to me cold. She then set it on a grill and assembled it for me. It consisted of deli turkey meat, tomatoes, bacon and a bit of lettuce. It was a pretty expensive sandwich at $8-9, but typical of airport prices. There was no remarkability factor in the sandwich and it could have used some more spices, sauce or some element which would have made it pop. As a whole, it just tasted a bit bland and uninspiring, albeit it seemed like a healthy option. I had the bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich, and grabbed an OJ. It was extremely good, and didn't take long to put together. Delicious sandwiches. My brother and I each got a sandwich (the tomato basil mozarella and the Tuscany) and split them so we could try both, and they were really good. We're in New York, but when we fly back home I'm definitely going to get that sandwich again. Get your sandwiches toasted, because they're even more yummy when they're warm, trust me. They also had a wide selection of drinks and snacks to go with your sandwiches, and they sold coffee and teas. I would totally suggest Brioche Doree because I absolutely loved it. Honestly my dad flys all the time and comes here a lot. He always stops and gets something. As his daughter and an adult I feel the need to stand up for him. Extremely rude staff. I am in the service industry and i can't imagine being so rude to anyone. My dad is older and can't hear and they Like scream at him in such a mean way when he asked " excuse me?"
