I found Dr. Stacey Cantrell searching google for chiropractors in the Portland area skilled in the…read more"Webster Technique"--a practice known to help "flip" breech babies. I was getting a bit nervous because the time window was closing for my baby to move. I began seeing Dr. Stacey around 35 or 36 weeks pregnant when something like 95% of babies have gotten into head-down position (and 1-3% of those stay breech). So it was a great relief to be seen right away and I was impressed with the holistic level of concern and assessment using the latest technology. Dr. Stacey explained everything and on my second appointment was able to show me a visual of my spine and sacrum and talk through problem spots. We also began adjusting to make optimal space for baby, including massaging round ligaments. After just 5 adjustments our footling breech baby flipped at 37 weeks! Sweet relief! It's wonderful that this office offers walk-in appointments when you have an issue. Actually, I didn't exactly walk in: SPD pain (thanks pregnancy hormones!) caused me to limp into the office, but after a simple adjustment walk out normally--on more than one occasion. Truly amazing. Sara and Buffy at the front desk/on the phones couldn't be nicer and the waiting room always has water, tea, and fruit available, as well as a separate play space for children. Dr. Stacey has a warm manner and is great with my 4yo as well. I couldn't be happier to have found her and am excited about the work we've done to prepare for delivery.

Jessica knows her stuff. I highly recommend her practice and encourage anyone with difficult or…read morechronic issues (both mental or physical) to seek her expertise, especially if you've had lackluster results with solely using Western medicine. From the initial consult and throughout treatment, Jessica has been an excellent listener, kind, easy to talk to, and is great at explaining the acupuncture process and science behind it. She has an expert understanding of where to treat for the best results. I went into it open-minded but skeptical, and my personal experience has been nothing but positive. Issues that have plagued me for over a decade are slowly being unraveled, allowing my body to finally begin to heal itself, and I have Jessica to thank. I'm excited to see how things continue to improve over the long-term. For Veteran patients, Jessica accepts VA Whole Health benefits, and has been very patient dealing with their sometimes inefficient processes. Just ask your PCP to put in a referral consult for acupuncture and mention Jessica's office specifically. If you're on the fence about acupuncture, schedule a consult and see how Jessica might be able to help you. :)

Though it's unquestionable when evaluating whether to employ any service or to shop in any store or…read moredine in any restaurant, one is better served by evaluating the WHOLE of the service provided rather than the performance of one employee such as a server, clerk, or receptionist. With that, if exposed to only one person, in this case one doctor of the many in this service, it's difficult to evaluate MORE than just the one. That's my caveat. It appears, based on previous reviews, this office many have previously or perhaps even currently is struggling with some customer service issues. My experience wasn't entirely stellar, but altogether not atypical for many of the health services I've been exposed to in the Portland area. There's a feel of being in the mill, just another number, not personal. There's a large population to be served so they get a pass from me on that topic. I'm never quite comfortable with office personnel being trapped behind the sliding glass windows and me on the outside not knowing whether to rap on the window if they do not acknowledge me, stand there waiting for eye contact from them hoping that means they recognize I have to check in, or just take a seat and hope they'll address me when they can. This office suffers from this malady. Most medical providers have struggled in their attempts to commit dedicated space for folks to reveal their personal data and thereby protect their HIPA rights. This office suffers from this malady as well. One is forced to stand at the window, within full earshot of the entire waiting area (about 15 x 15) and rattle through name, dob, phone, etc. Again not atypical. Once past the experience of checking in and getting in with my doc I was quite pleased. Appropriately polite, engaged, invested in my story, and detailing everything I brought up, then feeding it back to me for confirmation on all the details. This, in my opinion, is exactly what any provider needs to do in order to accurately understand what the patient is presenting with. My doc was terrific simply put. He explained exactly what his service would be, the timing as he imagined in advance of actually treating me, the outcome he would hope for, and instilled a sense of confidence in me that I was in good hands. Check out was simple and quick, my hope for every visit. It's rare for me to rate 5 stars because there's always room for improvement, but this facility gets 4 thanks to all that I've noted in this review.

Getting medical care can be challenging when you have rare health issues, but I thought Dr…read moreGreenfield was acquainted with my issues. I was happy with him until one appointment where the adjustment he gave me left me in severe pain and almost crippled from the pain. I tried calling his office, but they were closed during that weekday. When I brought it up at a follow up, he said it was normal. We had discussed a treatment option, which he was going to look into. He decided to do the opposite of what we had talked about. I went along with it, but I had issues. He wasn't willing to look into other options to help me. He seems to have a very limited protocol for addressing issues. It might be great if you're one of the people it works well for. If you're not, then he can't help. He seems unwilling to think outside the box to figure out how to help people. Also, if you're sensitive to heat avoid this office during the summer since they have no air conditioning. It was 90 out when I was there, and it felt like that when I was in his office. He didn't seem willing to figure out what's going on with me when I said that I felt like passing out just sitting in the office.
