Been using a spare Rueschhoff cut a while back. It's the basic key that must be turned in the lock, and it cost $150. Yesterday afternoon, I discovered the dealer would charge more than my monthly payment to replace the original key! So at 4:30 I called Rueschhoff. Arron made my day. He quoted $150 over the phone, including programming, for a new smart key, and he said he could do it now. (NOTE: they close at 5:00. I didn't realize this, so I became a total jerk by getting some food to eat while they worked and waltzing in at 4:55. Always ask!) That's when I ruined Arron's day. The replacement key was complicated, partly because I didn't have the original with the transponder, and partly because of weird factory locksmithy stuff. Still, Arron, Mark and Jeff went far beyond the call of duty, working an hour overtime to get things right. Long story short: I ended up with an unprogrammed key, identical to the one I had made at Rueschhoff a few years ago for $150.Arron's girlfriend wasn't too pleased, but he has made this old woman really happy!

I switched from ADT to LiveWatch two year's ago and have been extremely happy with the change. Not…read moreonly was LiveWatch less expensive, I have significantly more usable features and functionality with LiveWatch as opposed to ADT. LiveWatch was extremely easy to setup and they even provided a translator device that allowed me to use the existing sensors from my old system. For any issues that arose, LiveWatch's technical support was easy to contact and spent any time necessary with me to make sure my issue was resolved. Most importantly, LiveWatch's monitoring has been much more responsive than ADT's ever was. We had an alarm go off due to forgetting to close our garage door and LiveWatch notified us almost immediately of a pending alarm. Since we were less than 5 minutes from home we were able to go back, close the door and then reset the alarm. Had this been ADT, we would have been much farther away making it very inconvenient to return home. Since that incident occurred, I added a garage door control to the system, which now allows me to close the door remotely and reset the Alarm remotely via the Alarm.com app making it even more convenient. While I am on the subject, the Alarm.com app on my iPhone and ipad is the real power behind the system. With it, I am not only able to control the alarm system remotely, but I can also control my Thermostat and garage door as well as a wide variety of other home automation products including door locks. I am in the process of adding some additional home automation such as smart switches and outlets and the LiveWatch technical support team has been very helpful with guidance and providing me with information on compatible products. I would highly recommend LiveWatch to anyone looking for a home security system.

Whenever I've had a question, such as an…read morealarm being "tampered" repeatedly with no sign of how, customer service is always helpful and willing to work with me to have a solution. The rep I spoke with was extremely polite and patient. Note when installing your sensors, make sure they are COMPLETELY flush with the surface. I live in a 100 year old house so there are plenty of bumps and curves on the window, which led to one of my sensors being sensitive to being tampered. Also, be especially careful of the "pencil" distance rule. I'd try to make it closer when possible. I accidentally set off my alarm because the sensor wasn't close enough on a closed door.
