The UPS driver didn't even bother exiting his truck to ring the door! Three times!…read more It was by pure chance I heard the last truck pass, and I checked their web site with the package number for updates. It said "Delivery Attempted". No, Sir, no delivery was ever "attempted". Please get out of your truck and ring the door before you tick that box, Sir! Prior to this I had even called UPS and excplicitly asked the driver to call my mobile when he arrived. The clerk promised that he'd do that, but he didn't. Then the second clerk I talked to today, told me that "the drivers can only call certain business numbers, and not private numbers". So not only won't the driver get off his ass to ring the door, but he won't even call customers to tell them that the package has arrived... Well, in order to use this "delivery" company you obviously have to be a mind reader! This company not only expects you to take time off work to wait for their delivery. They also expect you to monitor all trucks that go past your window in Norway's most busy city, and then mind read if they are trying to "attempt" delivery. I can't even imaging the amount of money that company is losing on their trucks driving aimlessly around Oslo, on second and third attempts, without doing any deliveries what so ever... Well, they're certainly not racking up a great reputation with those delivery policies. I have never had any problems with any other delivery company, only UPS. I paid good money for having the package delivered to my door, but apparently they are unable to do that, so I had them send it to the incredibly uncentral pickup point they have here in Oslo. It's out of the way, but that way I can at least be certain that I'll actually get the damn package. Worst delivery company experience to date!

While they eventually came through and got the job done, the woman I interacted with was awful to deal with. She repeatedly asked me for things I had either already provided (such as a packing list) or that I had explained didn't exist (such as a sales receipt from 11 years ago). She wrote rather cryptic emails that had 2- or 3-word sentences, mostly made up of abbreviated words, and was generally just difficult to communicate with. Worse, she would complain about not being able to reach me as a result of her inability to comprehend that I was in a different timezone and using a different phone number. I hope never to have to ship anything by boat ever again in my life, but if I do, I hope to find a forwarder who is capable of basic communication.
