I like that they had Magner's on draft, and of course no Irish pub is complete without a Guinness. Good selection of food, but we went with a bunch of starters- sliders, chips, sausage roll, and fried pickle okra. Okra was a favorite. The slider was delicious!! Chips were good, though they were thick-cut potatoes like wedges, so I wish they could've been a bit crispier. I wasn't a fan of the sausage roll, but my friend liked it. Great service, we were checked on frequently. It's a loud spot in the later hours, but that martini was so good I made my friend go back the next night to get another.

We ordered the Honey Badger cocktail, sausage rolls, shepherd's pie, and purple potato gnocchi. The honey badger cocktail was pretty sweet, and although I usually like sweet drinks, this one wasn't well balanced. My favorites were the sausage rolls and shepherd's pie! Perfect savory flavors. The Shepherd's pie had the perfect ratios of ingredients and a nice jus which didn't make the whole dish soggy. The sausage rolls were soft and flavorful with a perfect flaky/buttery roll which was great with the stone ground mustard. The side salad which came with the shepherd's pie was not my favorite. The gnocchi was okay. It was a bit too sweet and overwhelmed by the bell pepper flavor. I wouldn't order it again. The baguette and butter with it was very good as well as the presentation though.

The bar is divey, and you can find very cheap drinks, especially if you go for the daily specials. The bartenders are nice - beware that they do keep your card if you keep your tab open - and seem to know the regulars. In addition to monthly bingo, they seem to host drag events, have video games and board games available to play, as well as several TVs. Plus, dogs can go inside and out. The bar does not serve food, though usually there is a vendor there. Looking forward to next month!

There is no food but they have cheap drinks, old school games, a spacious patio, and they host cool events like bingo night. Their motto is "Mind your P's and Q's" which I found amusing. I have only been in a few times so I can comment on if their patrons typically adhere to this code of conduct! Overall I think it is worth checking out if you've never been and maybe it will grab you and you will want to become a regular. Me personally it's a little out of the way to become a regular haunt located in between Plaza and NoDa but not walking distance from either. Also it's not that the service was ever unfriendly but I just didn't feel like it was my vibe. Still a cool bar though and I can see why other enjoy it.

Since that was disclosed up front, I didn't think it's an issue but if you're someone who wants to wait until everyone is served before digging in, you may have to eat cold food. I had mac and cheese and it was pretty good. Overall, this is an acceptable place to eat.
