I am completely Happy living at Brightwater & Thankful to be Alive! Brightwater makes it possible for you to have the level of care you need and still stay close to each other. My wife needed nursing care and had been at Brightwater for several months. I moved into an independent villa at Brightwater in February of 2013, so I could be close to her and we could spend as much time together as possible. Our daughter also wanted to make sure that I was eating properly, and the food is excellent. I like getting to know everyone and they know me. I used to drive myself everywhere and now it is nice to have a Driver take me where I need to go. Genesis therapy, Live Long Well Care and the Rejuvenate Salon are on site and that makes it very convenient. Brightwater's location is great & we do not need to evacuate, and this is very important to me. We have been kept safe during COVID19. I enjoy going to the Brightwater Chapel service on Sunday mornings and then I can watch my Sunday School class online too. I am a World War II veteran and I am Thankful to be Alive! read more

My aunt was supposed to move to Portside because Brightwater was full. We paid Portside, signed a contract and moved all her things in. Then Portside refused to allow her in because she was coming directly from the hospital, where she tested NEGATIVE for Covid19. After calling Brightwater again and explaining the situation, they moved her in, and as a precaution, quarantined her for 2 weeks. From there, she moved into her place in the Assisted Living area. She has now been in AL for approximately 1 month, and has met new friends right away. She says she is happy to be there, enjoys going outside for her walks and having meals with her new friends. She also enjoys the food there very much. Helen, in particular, has been a great help right from the beginning. She has always been there for us when we needed her. She answers her texts, emails and phone calls right away. She even took pictures of my aunt for me since we are not allowed to go in to see her during this pandemic. Brightwater is a beautiful large facility encompassing a vast amount of needs and services. My mother's fist visit was to rehab following a terrible and life threating event which occurred at different local rehab and nursing facility. My mother has been in the rehab department 3 times of the past 2 years. The PT team was caring and worked hard to help my mother recover each time. After my mother's last fall at home and an additional stay in the hospital we decided to move her to the assisted living area. She has been very happy there. The activity team is outstanding. The dining facilities are elegant and the food is excellent with a wide array of choices. The staff and the Director are easy to reach when I have questions. Mom entered before COVID, so life changed a bit after that. Brightwater has gone above and beyond to help patients adjust to the new rules. I trust Brightwater's staff to keep my mother safe, well nourished and to make her feel loved and cared for. read more

I moved from Long Island to Brightwater two years ago and became part of the Golden Girls group. I chose Myrtle Beach because my son is going to retire in the area. My villa includes a patio that gives me an outdoor space of my own that allows me to garden with my potted flowers and sit outside. Walking the property with the beautiful gardens & flowers is part of my daily routine and the outdoor pool gives me another form of enjoyable exercise. I can sleep in and relax after working all my life for the school system. I like BINGO, arts & crafts and the Travel the World Snack Crate, Tracy does an amazing job. I liked being pampered with meal delivery during the COVID restrictions and am glad that I can have dinner with my friends in the dining room again. Transportation will take us wherever we need to go, so I don't need a car. read more

Our daughters wanted us to move to Myrtle Beach to be closer to them. My husband & I moved to Brightwater over 5 years ago and he has since passed. The support system helped me take care of him so we could stay together and my friends were close to talk to. I stay busy playing games with my friends and my favorite, Sequence is fun for everyone. I enjoy being social and can always find someone to talk to on the porch. Everyone is so friendly, including the staff. The variety for meals is good and I always find something I like. I don't have to worry about anything because Brightwater will take care of it. Transportation allows us to stay independent even if you don't drive and they even take us to church. The gardens are beautiful and I really enjoy my walks. read more

Brightwater is one of the most beautiful continuing care retirement communities in the myrtle beach area. My wife and I were looking for crcc's in South Carolina and this one came highly recommended. We wanted a ccrc because they have all levels of care and that was important to us. It was easy to make a reservation with them and their representative was very helpful. It was refreshing to sit down and not be hounded by floor plans and amenities but rather a nice conversation about us and why we were making this move. They cared about us as people and that meant a lot. Ultimately, we decided to stay closer to our son, his wife and our grandchildren but if we hadn't decided to stay. I have lived at Brightwater for 3 years. I LOVE Brightwater because of variety of activities that the Social Director schedules to keep us busy. During the pandemic crafts, painting projects, puzzles, short stories, games were delivered to our door. Cruise week brought specialty drinks & snacks to everyone. Staff helped me order groceries online because I don't have a computer and they was delivered to me. Exercise programs continued with limited members to observe social distancing. I am a social person and love being around people, this was a challenging time for everyone. The dining staff delivered meals to each villa or cottage for 9 weeks and I was so happy to see them every day! Brightwater made us feel safe & secure. read more

Brightwater's friendly staff and residents welcome new members in a wonderful way that goes all out to make you feel at home. I felt like I was treated like royalty with all the attention. It is a very comfortable environment that is lovely, well appointed & socially welcoming. My villa is extremely nice with lots of amenities, ample space and well designed. The classes are run by staff that are professional, knowledgeable, warm and caring. Change is difficult and having the supportive staff made my move as easy as it could possibly be. Management is excellent and leaves no stone unturned. I would encourage anyone who is considering moving to a senior community to check out what Brightwater has to offer. read more

My wife & I moved into Brightwater with our little dog, Nora. Our neighbors are friendly & the community is pet friendly. Several of our previous neighbors are already living at Brightwater. Rejuvenate Salon is convenient being on site, and Mona is great with hair & nails. My wife loves the chicken quesadillas and all the shrimp dishes that are offered in the dining room. I am happy that I can order what I like from the menu and specials. Our move in experience with HTC was positive and maintenance takes care of everything else. It's hard to remember that I don't have to do the maintenance anymore. read more

I am so happy with the care that my family member has received at Brightwater Senior Living Community. The best part of this place? They have all different services so if you ever need more care.. YOU DONT HAVE TO LEAVE! Back when I was taking care of my mom when she needed different services it was costly and took a lot of time to move her and it was hard to get her re-settled. Brightwater makes it easy to stay in the same place and receive the care that you need in the same location. It's called Continuing Care, look it up. I enjoy having indoor pool classes and look forward to warmer weather and sitting around the outdoor pool. The Brightwater member directory is very helpful to put names with faces. We have a small group to play Mah Jong and hope to get more members to join the fun. The bus will take us to the grocery store and the drivers help us with loading & unloading. There are many dining options to choose from and I still enjoy cooking myself in my villa's full kitchen. I am looking forward to more social interaction after COVID is over. read more

Brightwater is a safe and happy place to live! I would recommend living at Brightwater, it is a wonderful place that is safe. Everyone is so friendly. The staff works hard to please the residents and will do anything possible to take care of us. The Brightwater drivers will take me wherever I need to go. We are living longer than expected because of this lifestyle, so you need to check your long-term financial planning. We researched communities for a while before we decided on Bright water for my Mom and Dad. The reason we like it is because they weren't ready for the full gamut of care. They are independent and just want a place where they can go if something happens. This place is nice because they have everything on property. We really enjoy the friendly people at Brightwater, staff and residents. We are well taken care of with all of the Wellness & Social activities. I have lived at Brightwater for 5 years and everyone is so friendly. The smiling staff takes very good care of us especially during the Covid19 restrictions and we are safe. The dining staff delivered food to my door timely and the choices were mine to make. My daughter came for a tent talk visit and it was a lovely time. Love living here! When I moved to Brightwater, I was afraid because I didn't know anyone. Everyone was so Welcoming to me and making new friends was so nice! This facility is a great choice! Brightwater offers so many different events and amenities, all hosted by amazing staff. Both Indoor and outdoor pools were well kept, the building and villas are well maintained and the staff is so caring. They also have their own transportation allowing for off campus trips.
