Get ready this might be long because I have lots of experience with these so called home care…read moreservices. It took 3 horrific other services and over $10,000 in damage to my Dad's condo, theft of money, possessions and food before I found this personally owned business. And I think that might be one of the reasons the care is so much better. As opposed to the large corporate businesses, who apparently will hire anyone off the street. My father has dementia, so there is no feedback from him on his care. First of all, communication is high on my list. Shelli is aces here. They also have a website that you can go into to see everything that is written up, schedules and add your own comments and needs. Second, quality of caregivers. People, I can not stress enough. You get what you pay for! These women and men are experienced, educated and in my case have multiple degrees and have taken it upon themselves to further educate and update themselves on my Dad's illness and the exercises that will benefit him. They also work with me, as I have now had to move in with Dad, to educate me. Third, these are happy, highly appreciated employees. When I sent a letter to Michael commending the women, I was amazed to find out that they were immediately informed of my praise, the letter was placed in their file, they were recognized on the company's bulletin board AND they received a gift certificate! I could go on much longer but I trust these women enough with my Dad that I would be comfortable going away for a few days. And they have made my life so much less complicated and lifted a huge burden from my shoulders.

Wow has this place gone downhill quickly - mainly after Hurricane Ian (Sept 2022). It was…read morepreviously one of the highest rated in Venice and I thought we had found a hidden gem. My MIL recently moved out after 5 months. As we live very close we saw all this first hand. When she moved out almost all the former staff had left - and more have left since - in fact one manager made it only 3 months. I am afraid that says something about management at the corporate level. Food had been fairly bad toward the end and at one point they were asking people hired for management or activities to cook and some of their spouses even showed up to help. Server turnover was unreal as they expected servers to also clean apartments. Corporate should have handled cooks leaving better. 3 meals per day are included and if that means you have to have it catered or bring a chef from other locations then that is what should happen. Dang even go to Costco and get food! You should not be having managers attempt to make grilled cheese sandwiches (which they burned btw. The units do not have cooking facilities (only a fridge and sink) so residents depend on the food service. Transportation was to be provided but at one point the driver quit - another one was hired but eventually failed a background check. Then management told residents they would have to "find a their own driver" if they wanted to be transported. Many residents do not have cars or should not be driving this is unacceptable. They only have one elevator that is shared by everyone and it is not dependable. Pool had still not opened 5 months after the hurricane (maybe it opened in the last month - who knows). Roof is still in need of repair after the hurricane (6 months now) - I drove by to check. Beware they have no generator. Until improvements happen look at someplace else for you or your loved ones. Do not listen to empty promises of coming improvements.

The variety of Activities at The Inn are perfect for the Residents that live there. Melissa does a wonderful job! The Care Managers/medical staff are awesome at making sure the Residents are included in the Activities, if they want to attend them. The Housekeeping staff are great as The Inn community always looks clean and smells fresh. The front desk concierge ladies are always helpful and friendly. When I am not there with Mom, I feel secure that she is in good hands at The Inn. I have been very impressed with the Aston Gardens Community, and have been telling all my acquaintances about how great it is. Kathryn C

I think the care and commitment to the community starts with the staff who clearly feel a personal investment in their work. The same director has been there nearly 20 years! At the same time, the residents are engaged and active in a way we did not see at any other place we looked, which was all over the North East US and in Florida. At Aston Gardens the residents are up and about, engaged in arts and music inside, or outside gardening or playing bocce or by the pool. The residents welcomed my mother with little notes and invitations to join them at a meal or a walk. The facility is beautiful and there are so many opportunities to explore new interests and keep fit. As examples: multiple residents, on their own initiative, asked me how they could best welcome my mother, as they remember being "new." Also, the saleswoman we worked with continued to visit and spend time with my mother and send us updates, long after the contract was signed and her role was completed. They check in with me (the daughter) in a friendly way that makes me feel like a member of the community too. Thank you!

You have been stalling me and my sick dementia elder veteran father now on that refund for over 2'months. Over $26.000 dollars in 15mo. You have stolen. What Rashid does is.. He weasels his way into a veterans home that's needing nursing help with bathes feeding s etc... And tricks them into signing up and applying for aid and attendance then he applies for their pension benefits money instead. Caring Touch LLC for aid and attendance is NOT a V.
