It's hard to have confidence and trust in people that come into our home and replace us, even for a few hours. It's more difficult because of all the complications that our son has. We became connected with BrighStar and that has changed. At this time we are working with J.P. in Venice. It's very nice to walk out and know that Christopher is in good hands. Not only does J.P. like working with us, he likes working for Brightstar. He likes the team approach and the continuity of care that his company has in place. I heard him say this today and I knew he meant it. If an employee likes their company, that says a lot to me. Thanks, BrightStar!

Wil also guided discussions about financial planning and continuing care. We recommend that people engage with Griswold for friends and families.

I am truly sorry to write such a poor review. I really like giving credit where credit is due, BUT,…read moreas time has gone on, the people allowed to watch my mother with dementia have been increasingly unreliable, have fallen asleep on watch and lied about it saying that she attacked them, where my mom has wandered away down the street. I was sent one after another who were supposedly told my requests for service, such as: non-smokers, must like (service) dogs, food prep, cook, clean, laundry, get mail, vacuum & mop floors, assist w organization, carry in groceries & put them away. I had a list for them when they came each time, yet since they didn't take notes, I had to babysit them the whole shift! Each person I was sent, except for 2, obviously wanted to just sit, watch tv & keep a little old lady company and maybe make a sandwich - and when it was made clear they needed to work, they grudgingly did as little as possible and then quit. The two who actually did work as requested, were doing fine (except for my having to babysit them) for a few weeks, and they too started spending time on their phone, or spending a half hour before quitting to do their "paperwork" which takes 5 mins. When I nicely pointed out they were still on the clock, they became annoyed and soon quit. To top it off, the last one broke my new grabber, quit and the agency said they wouldn't send anyone else because she made up a lie about my having bed bugs!! Unreal!! My opinion & experience has been that they don't want to work, they just want to do the bare minimum and collect a paycheck.

The care was wonderful from most of the caregivers but one caregiver in particular, Renata was absolutely one of the most capable and caring caregivers I've ever come across in 40 years of healthcare. She anticipated my mom's needs before my mom even needed to say something. She fixed her home, cooked meals, and kept the house exceptionally clean. She was phenomenal at communicating with us for any needs that my mom might have. Renata is a tremendous asset to your company. She never sat in the other room reading books, never was on her phone, and responded to my mom even by conversing. She added companionship, compassion , and comfort to the end of my mom's life and we are incredibly grateful.
