I admit that medical issues were affecting my attendance. I always communicated about any problems. This last time I had difficulty with scheduling an appointment with my primary care physician due to her booked schedule and restrictions brought on by COVID-19. Alas, by the time I finally had an appt scheduled, it was too late...I was let go because of the health issues interfering with attendance. Once again I'm being punished for something that isn't my fault. And to make it even more frustrating, when I filed for unemployment, I got a letter from the DOL saying Aerotek claimed I quit voluntarily! Are you kidding me? I've replied to an appeal the DOL included in their letter. Now I'm desperately searching for employment...why would I quit voluntarily when I didn't even have anything to fall back on yet? Do not go to Aerotek if at all possible! Too big a chance of getting backstabbed.
