Been coming here for years, wouldn't go anywhere else. Service is excellent, staff are lovely and my nails always get compliments. Brighton Nails doesn't look quite like its caught up with the times. The lime green exterior, the yellow writing, the image of a hand clutching a rose...its all so Eighties! Whats even more incredibly Eighties is the image of a woman with bleach blond bouffant hair in the window! I am usually sort of a fan of this outdated tacky stuff, but this is just too much. Brighton Nails (such imagination!) is only slightly less outdated on the inside. It doesn't really matter as it doesn't affect the service they offer- they are the friendliest ladies and they know how to do a good manicure. What is lost in atmosphere and attractive decor is certainly made-up for in reasonable prices! All the usual treats are on offer: manicures, pedicures, silks and acrylic extensions. Like the other nail salons in the area, they offer an extensive array of air brush nail designs- not my cup of tea, but if it's yours Brighton Nails looks like as good a place as any! Although this place looks less than appealing from the outside, you'll get much better value for money than at one of the poncy beauty salons in town. read more

I could not have asked for a better experience and if i ever want to treat myself again, i'm coming back! I called up almost EVERY nail place in Brighton and Hove, and this was literally the cheapest one - but you could never tell by the wonderful quality of my new nails! Having never had nail extensions before, I called them up before hand and nervously bombarded the receptionist with questions. She was really patient, friendly and understanding, SUCH an angel all round. Arriving, the outside of the shop looks like a place out of time - but not in a bad way. It's super memorable and very clean and modern on he inside. The nail technician was equally welcoming and kind. He worked his magic quickly and precisely with exceptional skill. The reviewers giving less than perfect stars because English isn't their first language is ridiculous and to be honest, a little racist. If you have a complicated design and are worried about not being able to express yourself, just bring in photo references! I did JUST that, and my nails are perfect. Don't let those comments put you off coming to this place, because you're missing out. Exited to come back again x read more

If I were basing this review solely on the pedicures they would be receiving 5 stars. They have a massage chair you sit in while you're having your pedi done which is rather delicious... Every time I come for one they are SO thorough. My feet feel reborn! They are not shy to really go for it with (I know this sounds rank) removing all the dead skin and giving them a proper polish! I even received a very enjoyable foot and leg massage. I came away feeling like my feet were so light I could take off. Yumyumyum. They also looked beautiful so they really worked miracles considering they were MY feet! It hasn't the best ambiance in there though, it's very fumey from all the acrylic shizzle and although the workers are very nice, most of them can't talk English. As awful as this sounds, I can find that quite nice sometimes as I can just relax and not have to make idle chit-chat! When I had my nails done here they lasted 4 weeks which is also quite a feat for me as I can be slightly heavy handed and clumsy! Oh and you don't have to book appointments you can just walk in, sometimes there's a little wait, but usually it's not for long. Cannot recommend enough for pedi's. read more

I realise I'm probably not the average customer at brighton nails, in so far as I only come here as alternative to going to a podiatrist for a keratin related foot condition. Boy oh boy are they thorough. You will leave here with immaculate looking feet covered in a mix of aloe vera and coconut melon Avojuice. There is definitely a language barrier. Even as a regular, I sometimes struggle. I can now get by, especially having always gone to vietnamese nail salons (on the east coast of the usa, in India, and here in the UK), but it's particularly tough here. Vietnamese nail salons have a bit of a bad rep as shady places in terms of human rights issues (google at your own convenience...) but I'm rather attached to this place. Plus, like many similar shops you'll be treated to fine massage chairs for the duration of your pedicure. read more

This was by far the worst nail experience I've ever had. I went in for a medi and pedi. Started with a pedi on a broken massage chair so had the fists continually sticking in my back. I was the only one using all 4 of the massage chairs so I'm assuming none of them work. Then put my feet in Cold water for the soak. When she rinsed she rinsed with freezing cold water and didn't bother drying my feet so they were left freezing. Was then transferred to another chair to start with the torture session, I mean manicure. She was very heaving handed with the cuticle clippers, so much so that she took a chunk out of my finger that would not stop bleeding. Tried to stop the bleed with dirty glove for several minutes of which it would not and they then asked me if I had a plaster. FFS, ofcourse I don't carry a supply of plasters with me so I said no- they then found one that was very small and blood seeped out of the end - as in picture. Obvs, I said I don't want to put paint over a bloody finger so will do with it the manicure. Didn't seem to care but still charged me £25 for the displeasure. Avoid like the plague, this place is horrendous !!' read more

...After a brief and underwhelming visit to Natural Nails, I next came across the unimaginatively named Brighton Nails. Instantly there was a more inclusive and warming welcome. I don't think that they expected me to have a treatment, and when they saw my nails they were frankly disgusted. But like true professionals, they went to work. There wasn't too much chitchat, but I put that down to the concentration on the matter at hand, quite literally. After a few scrimps, scrapes, buffs and polishes, I had an almost respectable set of shiny digits. My housemate had gone all out and got some ridiculously full on pink acrylic numbers. Very friendly service but I don't think I'll be going back for another session, only due to my lack of care for cuticles. read more

When I took the long walk down London Rd on a Saturday afternoon, I stumbled upon this establishment, whilst somewhat cautious when entering the salon that was inevitably stuck in the 1980s I was immediately greeted with an overbearing smell of rice, I glanced around the salon and saw what i was class as 'minimalist' decor, the fish in the tank seemed dismal, however this was not a foreshadowing of the treatment that I was about to receive. I sat down in a surprisingly comfortable chair and the male beautician began working on my nails immediately, he worked with such passion and care that he did not have much time to speak. About 45 minutes later I left the salon with a beautiful set of £25 acrylics, I would highly recommend this business. read more

I've officially been to all the nail salons in Brighton; Brighton Nails was the last one I visited. They say "Save the best for last", in this case it was the opposite. Not bad, but Brighton has a lot more to offer. read more

I was met with a slightly better reception than i usually do in these type of nail salons. The nails were a let down though, which was a shame as the last time i got them done here, they were great. I've been going to this place for some time now; they very recently got new owners, and I have to say they are MUCH better. They are super friendly, offering you tea/coffee and they try and have a conversation with you. They didn't make me feel uncomfortable either, which I have felt in quite a few places like this. I prefer places that do acrylics by hand (this places uses machines), but that proves very expensive. The technicians at this place are actually really gentle, nail technicians with electric files usually hurt me. Their children are there, which is a little odd, but they're very sweet. They actually dressed the little girl up like a nail technician and had her sat there for a bit - absolutely adorable! The decor is outdated and it needs a revamp, but it's cheap, they're quick, and they're good. read more

This has to be the worse nail salon I have ever come across by far, for the reasons mentioned below: 1). It look the manicurist a total of 10 minutes to give me a full manicure, she left lots of dry skin still remaining on my cuticles. 2). The choice of colours are very limited. 3). The manicurist left the edges of my nails unpainted and when I complained just ignored me. I asked to speak to the manager and was just ignored by the manicurists. I was so disappointed with my manicure that the next day I had it redone at another salon. I would really suggest saving yourself the time and money and going else where. read more

Ussally love coming in here to get a full set and I'd say I'm a fairly regular customer. However when I went in today I was shouted at and not listened to and cussed about. I have never ever been so disappointed with the service and frankly am appalled by the them I asked for my perfect length however then he cut them far to short. The colour of the polish is uneven and slightly chunky. I'm not sure why today was different to other days but I do certainly know I will not be returning. The who is the manger I'm assuming is creepy ie gives u weird look and last year touched my friends leg he is also read and incompetent of doing a good job. He did almond short nails when I asked for pointy he then shouted at me when I tried to ask him to slightly file them in his college had to calm him down. The other people in there are however lovely and polite but it is always a hit or miss in there. I can say that they've lost a customer. They are rude and unprofessional and do not listen. If you're looking to get your nails done save your money and go to natural nails. read more
