Staff are really friendly, especially Maddie who always has a smile and recognises you as you walk in.

Drinks were ordered from the bar while we waiting on everyone to arrive, and then the food orders were placed. I went with the chicken schnitzel, which was about the size of a football. Huge, but amazing flavor. Our party ended up staying for several hours. Eating and drinking the whole time. Very happy with the location, service, and food.

Possibly the worst dining experience we have ever had (and we have had some doozys)…read more Food/wait staff/atmosphere all terrible. Overpriced. Massive wine list if that interests you. Came for a birthday celebration. We had tried to call earlier in the day as we had 3 celiacs in the party. The place smelt like chlorine and vanilla/biscotti air freshener. Staff/food. one good staff member, a young man who ran between the bar and helping with food stuff. The rest were literally the most useless staff we have ever dealt with (even the floor manager was crap and avoidant). Just useless and frankly rubbish is the best way to describe them. Our female server had no idea what she was doing and didn't understand that serious food allergies can land people in hospital. We had two celiacs and one person with various allergies. Trying to order from this girl was like squeezing blood from a stone. She had no desire to offer any help or walk 2 meters to the kitchen behind us to ask questions. We had to get her to write the allergies down. Then we get our meals and our meals have literally the stuff we can't have in them. Hint: When someone has a food allergy of onion, don't put onion on their salad, when someone is a vegetarian, don't put a giant slab of grey soggy meat on their plate. We had to send the meal back 3 times before they realised that Spanish onion was ONION' and even then there must have been residue or something in the salad dressing because afterwards we felt so incredibly sick. The two celiacs both got poisoned by something in their meal even through we triple checked the wait staff and kitchen knew the allergies. The other food? The rest of the tables food was bland and overpriced. The pavlova came with half a strawberry diced up so small you could suck it through a straw. Atmosphere. When we walked in no one offered to help us or seat us. The place stunk like chlorine and air freshener (biscotti scented?). We also had a mild anaphylactic reaction to something in the restaurant as our throats started tickling before we had even ordered and by the time our meals came out we had headaches, a dizzy feeling and our throats were swollen. Truly a horrible experience with the most rubbish, disgusting, overpriced food, the most useless staff imaginable and a gross atmosphere of potentially leaking gas that meant us leaving felt incredible for the first time that night with the fresh air.

The Liberty Towers apartments are stunning and probably one of the best places I have stayed at in Adelaide. First tip is to book on wotif.com which will give a discounted rate that you won't find on their website or by booking over the phone. You may need to book short notice to get the good deals but its worth it for the amount of money you can save. The odd thing about Oaks Liberty Towers is part of the apartment complex is owned by the Oaks franchise and the other part is privately owned and rented by tenants. This was strange at first to think there were people who could actually afford to buy one of the these beautiful apartments living in the room next door, but it also made you feel like you weren't in a hotel which was nice for a change. We had the 1 bedroom apartment, which for the two of us was huge. There is a living and dining area with a large couch and an adjacent bedroom featuring the biggest bed I have ever seen. The kitchen is fully equipped and although we choose to go out for dinner, would be more than adequate as a space to cook in. During our stay we also made use of the pool and spa which was quiet late on a Sunday afternoon and we had the whole area to ourselves, again making us feel like we weren't really staying in a hotel. The only thing to watch out for is make sure you have a bank card which has a credit function as we didn't realise you had to put down a $150.00 bond for the room and for two students that don't have credit cards it proved a little difficult. Overall though, a very luxurious experience.

Our big issue lies with the management and the food. We had not eaten at all that day due to work, so on the first night, we thought to eat at the hotel and ordered two chicken parmies-what could go wrong? The schnitzels were barely cooked, and the sauce was very bland, though it came with a generous serving of chips. We ordered our food around 6:30 PM. Within six hours (by midnight), my partner became extremely ill, and an hour or so after that, she couldn't stop projectile vomiting Eventually, It subsided, but the next morning (Friday), she ate some toast and went back to vomiting violently, leading us to go straight to the hospital. After talking with a doctor and after many drugs, we were told she was suffering from extreme food poisoning. Once we learned this, we instantly knew there was only one possible source: our hotel When we got out, we informed the hotel manager that night. She took all our detalls and sald she wasn't the manager who deals with this and that we should come back the morning of our checkout when the right manager. would be in. Upon checkout, that manager said the same thing and assured us someone would call us. Well, that was at least a week ago, and we have heard nothing. We have attempted to handle this situation face-to-face with the hotel, but communication is a two-way street, and I am extremely disappointed. The worst part of all this is the dinning area and out door area is beautiful and cosy and the meal looked absolutely delicious but looks are deceiving. The images below were of the actual meal my partner ate too So, long story short: don't stay here, and definitely don't eat here.

It was delicious and tender but was served lukewarm to cold (on both occasions). I'm not sure if this is how it's intended to be served but the consensus is that it'd be better served warm. The chips are yummy. We ordered these both times too. And the lamb with rice and papadam. The vegetable platter was yummy though not everyone's cup of tea. Meanwhile the jarlsberg arancini were delicious even though they didn't taste like jarlsberg. The prawn and cured salmon pizza was loved by some and disliked by others. Beer garden is amazing. As soon as word gets out, this place is going to get very busy. Great live music. Great choice of seating (stools, seats, undercover, in the sun), HUGE TV, awesome atmosphere, nice range of wines. Staff were a little on the inexperienced side but I assume they're just new and in training. Overall, two great experiences. We'll be back again.

Starting with our arrival our reserved table had not been properly cleaned. We had to aproach an employee to ask for the table and chairs to be re-wiped before we could sit. After paying for our plates we headed over to the open buffet section. The first thing i noticed is that the plates provided looked clean at first glance, however if scraped with a nail or utensil i can guarentee debris would come up. NEITHER the plates around the buffet nor the bowls around the desert bar had been properly cleaned or disenfected. After finally finding some clean plates after sorting through the stack. We grabbed our food and sat down to eat. After a meal that even our 11 year old family member deemed to be poor quality, the food either being under or overcooked, we decided we would not be coming back. Towards the end of the night i noticed the evaporative air cooler vent above our table had been leaking and dripping water due to a fault. (None of the other identical vents in the resturaunt had this issue) This had been dripping and falling INTO the food over the course of the night. When one of our party memebers reported the issue to the staff, the manager was notified. The manager then came out and viewed the problem and proceeded to walk away without speaking to us. Considering we had eaten contaminated vent water, we did expect the staff to at least adress the issue with us. We had to ask for the manager several more times before the staff cared to organise it. The staff were rude and dismisisive, at one point one of my party members had a staff memeber audibly laugh and smirk at him for being upset after eating contaminated and possibly dangerous substances. Once the manager came out she tried to tell us it was just clean water and minimise the situation. We had to explain to her that when evaporative vents leak like that they are always contaminated and filled with debris and bacteria. Fortunatley we were compensated for the meal costs, but if the watermark wants to buy me some ant-acid to deal with the aftermath of thier establishment that would be great. Dissapointing considering this place used to be a reknowned establishment.

I'm not sure if it has always been known as the Watermark (namely because I rarely, if ever, went there - though I do remember coming here with a friend once for a couple of games of pool). However, on New Years Eve, when I made my way down to Glenelg, I decided to go an check it out again. It was certainly quite packed, and the bouncers seemed to have their hands full making sure there was no trouble. Anyway it is a pretty classy place, and quite nice, though not a place I would give a high rating for. Their gaming room literally looks like a casino, and they do have a nice beer garden that looks out onto the marina. However other than that there wasn't all that much that stood out about this place.
