Other than the two musical mega stores in Broward County, this one actually impressed me by the…read moreselection of beautiful acoustic guitars and the immediate contact with a store associate upon entry who advised me of the ultra strict "No Touch Before You Ask" policy. But I completely understood since the guitars are hanging on small hooks and could easily fall out of a customer's hands. The staff took me on a short tour of the acoustic guitars with brief guidance of their pricing, sound and quality. The guitar pricing ranged $400 to several thousand depending on the brand, appearance and structural integrity. Penny Lane offers lifetime warranties on select guitars and provide in-house repairs. Aside from musical string instrument sales they offer lessons from professional instructors but its not cheap. The one hour private lesson is $180.00 or a discounted four sessions of lessons for $550.00. I have experience with the electric rock n' roll guitars from the 1980s but thought it would be a change of scenery to purchase an acoustic guitar and learn the chords the right way. Still deciding...

To me, this school is my scape, my breath of fresh air, and actually the space for myself, where I can actually turn back in time and be young again (yup! Pretty much like teleporting!). I've taken vocal lessons, drum lessons and belonged to adult band for about 4 years now, and everything has been just beautiful and so fulfilling. They are my family. They actually move me away from my personal reality and get me into a space for freedom, my freedom. And that is priceless. In regards to the staff, Heather, she is one of the most lovable persons I've ever met. Always there to help, with her amazing personality and smile; and Chris, the school director, wow, he is the dream-maker, so caring and so engaged to the students, always understanding and really a genius on its own. All the teachers I've met are highly skilled in their instruments and are incredible human beings. From what I see, little kids and young kids are always in heaven, grasping all these rocking opportunities, understanding what amazing music is, and the level of learning and music education is just amazing. I love you guys! Thanks for being so great, and for inspiring us to become better musicians each and every day!

We searched the web for a nearby music school and came across ProMusic Plus in Weston. However, the excitement diminished into hurt this past Friday, five minutes into the lesson my son started complaining that he wasn't feeling well and wanted to go home. The manager/owner said sorry he is not well, but I already paid the instructor for the 30 minutes and will not be able to refund or reschedule his lesson. When she realized I wasn't backing down from this unfair policy, she said I don't want any trouble so I will refund you 1/2 for the session. She missed the point entirely! This customer service experience was hurtful and disappointing as I felt like she wasn't sympathetic to the fact that my son wasn't well, instead she was annoyed that she was losing money for the session. As a fellow business owner, I know how vital it is to provide a fantastic customer experience to all customers. Sadly, the owner of ProMusic Plus doesn't feel the same.

Here's my comments about my experience with Russell and Piano Outlet…read more Dear Mr. Russell Housen, I am writing to commend you and your company (Piano Outlet) for the excellent service I received during the recent purchase of my Yamaha C3. From my first communication, you made it clear that my concerns of making a large long distance purchase was very important to you. You noted what specifically I was looking for including the size of the Yamaha Grand Piano which I wished to purchase, and promptly contacted me when my piano arrived at your shop. The rebuilding and preparing process afforded me the opportunity to greatly expand my knowledge of Yamaha Grand Pianos and especially the C3 model. During my numerous text messages and telephone calls to you, my questions were always answered in a patient and courteous professional manner. It quickly became apparent to me that you, as well as, your employees are consummate craftsmen, for whom attention to detail really means something. In this age of mass-produced mediocrity, such qualities are rare, indeed. My Yamaha C3 Grand Piano lives anew, and will enrich my family for years to come. It shall always be my distinct pleasure to recommend you and your company (Piano Outlet) to friends and acquaintances. Much thanks, again, for a job well done! Warm Regards, Mario G.

I would never recommend this place. My daughter was…read moreattending class for young 4 years old kids. The class supposed to start every Monday from 4:15 till 5. I have to say that the teacher was never on time. Never!!! Always late and she never extended the class, not even a minute! I didn't say a word about that until one day. We are always rushing to be on time and again the teacher was late. We were the only ones waiting for the class to start. The teacher came late and additionally she said that we are going to wait for other kids. Still wait and waste time!! we didn't even know if anyone is coming for sure. I asked why? This doesn't make sense. My daughter is here on time. We can start. We don't want to waste more time waiting for someone who maybe is not coming at all. She wasn't happy with what I said but she took my daughter inside the class and still didn't start the class. The woman at the front desk went inside to talk to the teacher so she finally started the class. Only one more child attended the class later that day. I was afraid that after I said something the teacher is going to be not nice to my daughter, picking on her and that's what happened... my daughter was crying most of the time. Is it a coincidence?? I took her out and said that this was probably our last time here and asked for refund. Couple days later I received an email saying about no refund policy and also saying that my child cut her finger and that's why she cried. Seriously?? First of all I didn't see any cut on a finger and secondly how she would do it. There was only two kids and a teacher. What was the teacher doing??? Also I want to mention that they cannot accommodate makeup classes!!! Their policy includes makeup classes and I called once to schedule a makeup class. They were not able to do it. They suggested to bring my daughter for the older class kids to watch. Nonsense!! I paid for the class, they couldn't schedule a makeup class and they don't refund for the class!!! I was very excited for this place and now I'm just really disappointed and I regret bringing my daughter there. Please be aware.
