I found the Crescere group from the positive reviews on Google and Yelp, and I am certainly glad I…read moredid. Ron is a tax wizard. He helped me both with my business taxes and personal taxes, and WOW was I impressed with his knowledge. His expertise was such a relief to be able to lean on this year. Ron also has a unique since of humor, which may not be for everyone, but it made paying taxes oddly relaxing for me (and dare I say, even enjoyable). Would strongly recommend Ron for both business and personal tax needs!

Proceed with Caution: My Experience with Ron Mussett…read more I initially worked with Ron to set up my LLC taxed as an S-corp. He was helpful during the initial process, but unfortunately, the execution was flawed. He made repeated administrative errors, such as filing paperwork incorrectly, missing deadlines, and even misspelling my name and my company's name multiple times. While I initially overlooked these mistakes, things only worsened over time. One of my biggest concerns was Ron's reluctance to answer questions beyond quarterly payroll tax filings. I often felt like an annoyance rather than a valued client. More critically, he failed to inform me that I wasn't making estimated personal income tax payments, which led to a substantial tax bill for 2024--complete with penalties. Based on my experience with him, I expect he would say this wasn't his responsibility, but better communication could have prevented the issue. Additionally, his tax planning knowledge was not the right fit. For instance, he was unfamiliar with Solo 401(k) plans and only recommended SEP IRAs, which didn't align with my financial strategy. He also would push back against strategies like structuring payroll for my spouse, paying her the max required for a 401(k) contribution, and "netting out." Beyond these shortcomings, his overall responsiveness was mediocre to poor--not just during tax season but consistently throughout the year. He was only reachable via email and rarely by phone, making it difficult to get timely responses. To be fair, Ron is very affordable compared to other CPAs. At the time, I was paying a fraction of what I pay now. However, I've come to realize that paying three times as much for my new CPA is well worth it--because at least now, I don't have IRS penalties, unexpected tax bills, or unanswered questions. My new CPA is available via phone and Zoom, open to one-on-one consultations, and takes the time to ensure I understand my tax strategy. If you're looking for a CPA who provides proactive guidance, strategic tax planning, and clear explanations, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Just as we expect doctors to have bedside manner, I believe a CPA should show a level of respect and care for their clients. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I often felt disregarded, and the lack of communication left me with IRS penalty letters, an unexpected tax bill, and a new CPA who is now cleaning up the mess. Ultimately, I take responsibility for not holding Ron accountable sooner. However, if you choose to work with him, be prepared to take a very hands-on approach and ensure you fully understand what he is offering. I've since found a CPA who is a much better fit--someone who takes the time to explain tax-saving strategies, aligns with my long-term financial goals, and ensures I won't be blindsided by another massive tax bill in 2025.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. This was the worst experience I've ever had. DO NOT trust these people. First of all when they are trying to win you over they make sure to communicate effectively and act like they are on top of everything. We asked to set up a meeting with the person doing our taxes, in which we met with Alicia Yong, who talked to us and got copies of our papers and everything as if she was going to be the one taking care of our taxes. Later on after we left the meeting and after emailing her for MONTHS and calling the office with no answer or call back for MONTHS, I finally sent an email explaining how no one has gotten back to us on anything and we weren't even sure if anyone was working on our taxes or not and we needed to know so we could go ahead and proceed with someone who was actually going to complete and file our taxes if needed. We finally got a response from Teresa who informed us she wasn't even sure why Alicia had discussed some of the information she did with us because she was just a "front desk lady" and didn't even know how to do taxes. Teresa said at this time she was going to look into it. This is months later when our taxes are already late after we sent them in BEFORE the due date. Two days later she sends us an invoice of $450 with nothing else, so we responded asking what this was for and if it was for the tax return that we still haven't received, so they finally sent us an INSANE tax return that is completely inaccurate and outrageous saying we owe $20,000. We questioned it and had a "meeting" with Teresa which basically changed nothing. They then continued spamming our emails over and over for us to sign for them to file on our behalf which we DID NOT sign because we did not feel comfortable filing an inaccurate tax return. It appears they got my email about us wanting to switch over to someone who was going to ACTUALLY complete the taxes and decided they were going to make something up as quick as they could to say they did it. We got a second opinion with another Tax/Bookkeeping service who met with us almost immediately and created a tax return based off of our actual correct information which lowered our tax owed amount by thousands of dollars. We immediately filed and informed BFG we were not going to file through them as their information was inaccurate and they refused to fix it or help us or even communicate with us other than wanting their invoice to be paid. They finally had words to say I guess when Alicia sent an email informing us that they were not going to get rid of the invoice and we still owe them $450 because they "completed" our taxes. Although, does "completing" our taxes not mean completing the service to the fullest which includes filing them? Which they can't do anyways because we did not sign to give them permission to do that due to INACCURATE information. Anyways, there is so much more I could go on about how absolutely terrible this place's service is. The last thing I will say is we paid them $900 in the beginning to open an LLC which they also didn't do completely because when we met with the other tax person he showed us that he had to request the EIN number because it has not been obtained. They were going to open it with the wrong name from what we had given them, luckily I caught that before they opened it and asked them to change it. By the way, after getting mislead and lied to, we were shown how easy it is to open an LLC on your own for free and if you need someone to do it I can recommend you someone way cheaper who will actually COMPLETE it. I have all of the emails and calls in a log. Please email me for a recommendation to avoid this place, you will be SO happy you did Taylor.duffey@yahoo.com.
