If you have trouble breastfeeding I highly recommend speaking with a lactation consultant. Being a…read moremom is hard and stressful. You need support and guidance on breastfeeding. With Aliza, I was able to find someone who I felt comfortable talking to and working with. She was patient and responsive to my emails. She was also detailed in her explanations. After Aliza, I no longer feared breastfeeding because of the pain. Both my milk supply and the latch has improved. Breastfeeding is no longer something that I hate and fear. Instead I cherish the bonding time that I have with my little one. Because of Covid, we did a video conference instead of an in-house visit. I thought it would be inconvenient and hard to explain things but it actually turned out ok.

It's not easy becoming a first-time Mom, let alone during a pandemic, and I am so grateful for the…read moresupport I received from both Alisa and Pam during this time. Alisa set up a virtual LC meeting with me and was available to answer all of my questions both on and off the call. She was understanding and not at all judgmental as we discussed what the best plan was for me personally. I had no idea how emotional the breastfeeding (and supplementing, and weaning) process would be, and I felt comfortable sharing my thoughts with her so she could advise me on what to do next. Pam is super knowledgeable when it comes to sleep, and meeting with her was a total game changer for me and my son. He had fallen into a pattern of taking short cat naps throughout the day, and I had no idea if this was something that would grow out of or if there was something else we should be doing. Pam shared a number of things that would help our baby extend his sleep cycles, and within one day he went from taking 30 minute naps to napping for 1-2 hours!!! He has been an EXCELLENT napper ever since and is even starting to sleep through the night at just 4 months old. Talking to Pam gave me the confidence to understand how sleep cycles work and the best way for us to support our baby. We are ALL much happier and well rested as a result :) would highly recommend talking to her if your baby has sleep issues.
