Some of them were using glass cups, others ceramic utensils to move little cotton balls from one container to other, a couple were "playing" with pouring water from different containers in an activity that seemed so hard for even some adults to master, but for those little hands, it's was normal. I asked the school director, Ms. Claudia, "what if they drop something!" She smiled and replied to me: "we all have accidents now and then! It's ok if they do. It would provide the kids with a chance to learn that it's ok to make mistakes, a chance to clean up their mess (help of teachers if there's glass involved), and start all over again. But more often they won't. And that's how a sense of security if formed." We registered our kids and by the time they were 13 months they started their Montessori journey in this AMAZING hidden gem of a school. They have been attending full time since then and they are now 5 years old. We can't say enough good things about this place. All of the teachers: baby class with head teacher Ms. Barbara, 3 yo to 6 yo class Ms Verónica and Ms Lissette, their aids in all the classes, the aftercare teachers and last but not least: Ms Claudia. Our kids could not have been better of at ANY other preschool in Broward County. They are all so caring, love their job, love the children and have become family to us. In all the time we had our boys attending this school we never felt like they were not taken care of. Academically our boys have flourished and are able to perform well above their peers (compared to children attending other schools). Not every 4 year old knows about the world continents, countries, what they speak, what they eat, etc.. or cares about adding and subtracting numbers, the shapes, they understand what primary colors are and what you get by mixing them, they've even had a chance to practice their Spanish! To me even more important is the character development: our kids have also learned about respect: of their peers, of the environment, of their teachers and of course parents. My kids know how to care for the environment: they have learned about recycling and how it would help planet earth, they like taking care of the plants, the animals and they jump at the opportunity of helping anyone with anything. They have learned little things like cleaning tables and windows, putting dishes away, washing dishes, swiping the floor and are even eager to prepare their own snacks! They love being independent and they do so because they were never told at this school that "they couldn't" or that "it's too hard for them" or that "they would break it". I Could not have asked for more! If you are looking for a school for your kids, look no further that Sweet and Smart Montessori. A TRUE Montessori education!!

He's learning new skills, and eating new foods. If we have special requests for him, from everything from diaper cream to special snacks, the team gladly carries out the requests. I've never had any difficulties with the Director Ms. Elizabeth or her assistants Ms. Shekina or Ms. Vashti. And my son LOVES Ms. Natasha and Ms. Michelle as well. I find that Childtime is reasonably priced in regards to daycare facilities. They offer a good summer camp program for VPK-aged kids, with lots of field trips and activities to keep the children engaged throughout the summertime. They also offer a VPK program to kids going into Kindergarten the following year, so you can register for (and use) the VPK coupon for a reduced rate on tuition here. They provide meals (breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks), and have an outside play area that is shaded by a big tree. They do fun activities on various holidays (Halloween, Xmas, Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc). Also, I'm editing my initial review to add that I forgot to mention the updates they send daily via email. I'm not sure if they do this with all of the classes, or just the VPK class...but every day during the school year, if you sign up and give them your email, they send you updates every day on what they're doing and learning in the classroom. They send pictures and tell you which books they read, which songs they sang, what they ate for lunch & snack, whether they napped or not. etc etc. I think that's nice because sometimes it's hard to get my son to tell me what they did all day long, so these updates give me a nice little snapshot of their day. And I LOVE getting the adorable pictures that they send regularly. I've only ever had two issues with this center in the time that my son has been going here, both of them were minor. When each issue was brought up with the Director, Ms Elizabeth worked quickly and efficiently to get the issue resolved to our expectations. I would definitely recommend this center to anyone in the area looking for affordable, and safe childcare. ***They currently do not have cameras where you can view the center online throughout the day, BUT I know they are looking to get them installed at some point in the near future I believe, which may be a plus for some parents***

Not only did they help us with her transition into VPK, but they welcomed her with open arms and made her feel comfortable and welcomed. The school also put on a BEAUTFUL graduation ceremony! A few years later she is still talking about her VPK class and how much she loved it. Huge shout out to Ms. Alex and Ms. Carmen for being such great role models to her. Now, my almost two-year-old has started daycare there. As a parent, I was worried how he would do in a new place with new faces, but the teachers made his transition so smooth. Each day they welcome him with open arms and he loves it! The school has a wonderful application that keeps you updated throughout the day with pictures, learning activities, and is so detailed to the point of when his diaper was changed. I can also message the teachers through the app with any concerns or questions. I love that the classroom size is small and intimate, allowing the children to have the attention they deserve. As a first-time mom, I would not recommend this daycare. On my son's very first day, I went over 5…read morehours without receiving a single update or photo through the app, and when I picked him up, I had to ask how his day went and was only told he was "good." As a new parent leaving my baby for the first time, that lack of communication was very concerning. Communication improved after I raised the issue, but other concerns continued. My son was frequently sick while attending, causing him to miss many days and forcing me to miss work. He would get better and then 2 days into daycare, he would get sick again like maybe they aren't dissinfecting the toys as they should. They misplaced his belongings, put another child's blanket on him, and he once came home with a bruise on his forehead that was never explained despite me asking about it. He would cry every day at drop off and I started to become worried that maybe it wasn't just separation anxiety. They were also very sneaky about not letting parents into the back area where the classrooms were and would take oddly long to bring my son to me when I came earlier than usual pick up time, as if they were trying to clean him up quickly. What sealed the deal for me was that on his last day, my mother picked him up, and although it was only her second time ever doing so, staff did not verify that she was authorized for pickup or ask for identification. She actually had to mention it herself. While the director and front desk staff were friendly, I was disappointed by the lack of communication, attention to detail, and overall confidence I felt in my child's care.
