There is a separate room for Infant, Toddler I, toddler II, and upstairs is more of the actual teaching of the preschool age. I love the infant room teachers. My daughter does not like alot of people, but is so happy when we get to daycare. The infant room has cribs for each infant, not sharing one. Plenty of highchairs, a separate room for diaper changes and a cubby for each child's diapers and clothes. Kathy and Gloria are the current infant room teachers and Barbara in the afternoon and they are just wonderful with the kids. It is priced at about $630 a month for 3 days. I do not know how much it is for full time, but you can guestimate. They have their pay schedule set up to be due in full in the beginning of each month, not paying at the end of each week.

This is not a place that takes child care seriously. Empathy: I asked through email to schedule a call to meet the teachers and it went five days without a response. When I asked the director (Mary) about why I hadn't heard back from her she immediately got defensive and just talked about how busy she was. I just wanted to work together with the school to know who the teachers of my children were and how I can work together with them for the development of my children. Value: I think that this location is mostly used out of location convenience. I think if there were another child care option in town Honey Bee would either lose business or have to adapt and improve their quality here. Unfortunately they don't have to because of the child care need right now. For context, the mother of my children ran away to dad's in Poughkeepsie with the children and now they are legally residents and have to choose from the day care options there. I would not choose Honey Bee. I would choose Vassar College's day care program over them.

We were so relieved to find that Maria Montessori's mission is carried out here at Hawk Meadow. Our children transitioned seamlessly into the classrooms, as they are truly Montessori environments. The teachers, administration and staff are intelligent, caring and passionate about Montessori style learning. The small class sizes offer plenty of individualized lessons and encourage a strong relationship among students and teachers, and our children are thriving. Our son is full of energy and incredibly inquisitive. His preschool misunderstood him. He would come home saying that he was "bad" and that he always made wrong decisions. He was 4 at the time.
