Our daughter goes to the Barnyard twice a week (toddler) and she LOVES it! She consistently has the…read moresame teachers, who are always patient and very caring. They take lots of pictures, so we get to see some of what she's up to. Her language and social skills have improved so much since she began attending- sure, she's a toddler, but these are leaps. They have lots of activities; you need to check their Facebook page or you might miss out. They have a fun bus and baby animals that visit. The price is okay- expensive but decent for a daycare center. The only problem with them is that they close at 5.

The reviews above really blew me away. Given that they were both left the same day, I am guessing…read morethey are the same set of parents. My 2.5 year old son has been at Barnyard since he was six months old. My nearly 7 month old daughter has been there for a month. We absolutely LOVE barnyard. So far, my son has been in the infant room, toddler 1, and toddler 2. The teachers are just that- teachers. They not only care for the physical needs of my children, but the emotional needs too. The two primary infant room teachers are incredible care takers who provide so much love and affection, as well as daily engagement. They are more than just babysitters as we experienced elsewhere. They plan activities and work on helping the kids hit their milestones. In the toddler rooms, the teachers are amazing too. They have a wonderful curriculum in place and really foster an environment of play based learning. My son has thrived so much there. Each day, he comes home talking about what he did with his toddler friends and he is always learning about new concepts and mastering new skills due to the daily activities. We actually moved my son to Barnyard after a poor experience elsewhere and were blown away by the professionalism and care we found at Barnyard. Barnyard is an extremely well loved school in town and has truly earned its wonderful reputation.

I'm writing a long review because I see no reviews for this school online yet. Our 3-year-old…read moredaughter switched to the BMSS mid-year from a traditional preschool. At first we were hesitant to make the move because it seemed risky with the school being so new and with no local reputation other than good word of mouth at their other school in Boston. We were excited about the unique offering of daily music/instrumental instruction and French integration, plus the classes are so small right now, so we went for it, despite the hefty price tag. I'm happy to report that our daughter is so much happier in this environment, and the teacher in the primary classroom has far exceeded our expectations. She is an amazing and positive force in the classroom, she has been challenging our daughter in new creative ways every day, and as we learn about the Montessori lessons & activities we are starting to understand why our daughter is so happy and fulfilled each day. Unexpected bonuses- the "valet" service is cool. The head of school comes out to our car to walk the kids inside each morning, which is a nice perk (plenty of time to come inside at pickup though). I was initially put off by the idea of school uniforms until we tried it. It takes all the drama out of a little girl getting dressed in the morning, and it seems to put her into a calm & content "school mode". Can't explain it. We still have plenty of time to wear tutus and princess dresses when we get home. We are really excited to see how the school will grow over time. As they increase their staffing and enrollment, I'm sure word will get out that this place is special.

The head of school works tirelessly to provide a safe and loving environment for our children. In addition to the beautiful environment and dedicated staff, the school offers a curriculum like no other schools that we visited. My oldest started reading at 3.5 years and read at 2nd grade level prior to transitioning to private school. We are amazed with our daughter's math skills and how meticulous and kind she became. If you want to invest in a school that will support your child's development, visit the Bilingual Montessori School of Sharon. I highly recommend BMSS to every parent seeking school. Best investment ever for our children!
