Communication was often difficult, and we did not feel supported when concerns about our son were raised. One of the biggest issues was the constant turnover of teachers in my son's classroom. During our time at the school, his class had multiple teachers, making it difficult for the children to build stable relationships and adjust to a consistent learning environment. Several staff members expressed concerns about the work environment, which was disappointing to us. The administration/ specially director did not demonstrate the level of knowledge or expertise in child development and child psychology that I expected from a leadership team responsible for young children ( I even heard this from teachers). Rather than working with families to understand children's behaviors and support their growth, I often felt that the focus was on discipline instead of teaching and guiding children through age-appropriate challenges. Young children need patience, consistency, and positive guidance to learn appropriate behaviors. Unfortunately, I did not feel that the management took that approach, and I believe my kid would have benefited from more understanding and support. It was my impression that families who gave gifts or maintained a closer relationship with the administration received more favorable treatment. As a result, I felt our kids did not receive the same level of support!!!!! Last but not least Please consider that very serious Goddard director talks about "fairness " however she treat parents differently when they give her expensive gifts? I've heard this from several parents who warned us, but unfortunately we didn't listen.

They calmed my mind and assured me that this was a normal part of the transition and sure enough he quickly began walking into school without tears. I also love that they take temperatures at the door every morning and I have no idea how they get Onyx to wear his mask but every day he comes out with it on! My daughter is excited to go to school literally every day. With a Montessori approach, there is not homework, exactly, but she is motivated to keep learning at home. She takes an interest in all kinds of topics and even wants to pick out books related to her classmate's research topics and to do her own projects in her free time. There are thoughtfully chosen books for literature circle, and the children get together in smaller group to discuss them. There are opportunities to delve deeper into topics that are of great interest to the group, or to individual students. Ms. Cherish is in charge of the elementary class and she is a blessing. She is one of those teachers who seems to bring out the best in everyone. I'm not sure how to really describe how wonderful she is - like Ms. Honey from Matilda plus some Fairy Godmother powers? The children really trust her and look up to her and it shows in the warm, positive atmosphere. My daughter has grown so much this year, and she feels very much a part of a learning community that Ms. Cherish has created in this class. More generally, I can also comment that things seem to really run well under Ms. Maha's leadership, like everyone pulls together to create a smoothly running ship. She is very present and available. Communication is great and families know what to expect. All the random curveballs one must deal with in a typical school year? We haven't had any of those since coming here. Finally, though this school year has not ended yet, my daughter is already asking about when next school year begins. We couldn't be happier for her. Ms Prerna and Richa ensure a nurturing environment here. Staff takes every feedback seriously with good follow up on issues brought. I loved that they offered - learning the basics of 3 languages as part of their weekly curriculum. (Spanish mandarin and Hindi) - the kinder room got them on working on creative projects and presentations. - they had field trips to the park - their summer program was fun too ! They made smoothies, learnt about bugs, had a carnival, movie day etc - food is offered at a reasonable price. A menu on the offerings are given every month, u can choose what days food could be bought. Most of the food is bought from Costco, rice is made onsite and pizza is ordered from the plaza they are located For extra fees they exposed them to classes that saved us time on car rides! - yoga, teacher is excellent fun and loving - Bollywood dance class! - sports teacher that exposes them to different sports. As an occupational therapist I love their program and their environment. They celebrate the silliness and fun with gentle structured care that fosters both academic and social emotional growth. Never mind the fact that I was not insisting on masks and merely answered a question about what would be ideal. Not to mention, I didn't mean that this should be a year round policy--only if and when necessary. They didn't even ask if I had questions that might address any concerns, or if I would even like to tour the school and learn about the program. In my opinion, this is unprofessional. I was a bit anxious about her leaving the comfort of the caterpillars class, but she has fallen in love with her new teachers; Ms. Brisa, Ms. Diana and Ms. "Tika" ...and so have the rest of the family. They are truly incredible ladies and I hate to think about our littlest lady leaving them. Aside from the incredible staff, the indoor playground is by far the best feature we found at any Montessori that we visited! It is so comforting to know that on a sweltering hot or rainy day the kids still get to play because they have an amazing indoor playground for the kids. This indoor space is huge. He hated being dropped off and would show an urgency anytime I came to pick him up. This wasn't his first experience with daycare either. At his previous school, he never had an issue with being dropped off. A large part of my frustration with this school and our experience is that many of the staff don't seem well equipped to work with kids or know how to manage age-appropriate behaviors. The school's app allows you to see video footage of your kids throughout the day, and I saw one of the older teachers (Teacher Juielta) in my sons class yank a toddler by the arm. I witnessed that same teacher grab a kid by the face and yell at him. If I'm watching this happen to other kids, using the system they encourage parents to use, it was most likely happening to my son too. From what I gathered from parents who still take their kids there, that teacher is still working in that classroom. This kind of behavior towards toddlers is unacceptable. I couldn't keep my son in that classroom as I watched his peers get manhandled by an older teacher. There was also an very explicit tension between some of the staff that was unprofessional and inappropriate. It was common to hear and witness staff yelling at each other over their walkie-talkies, staff who would blatantly ignores questions or requests from other staff, and at one point an argument occurred in front of kids that forced me and some other parents to bring it up to leadership. We only attended the school for 3 months and we fortunately were able to take our kids somewhere else! I would give this a 1 out of 5 staffs but there were a couple of positive things about the school that I just couldn't ignore. Pros: the kids and families we met; Teachers Jo and JoJo were great to partner with when working with my kids. Cons: accountability for complaints of staff, immature interactions between staff in front of kids, and abusive behaviors towards toddlers.

You can tell they really love what they do, and it shows in how happy and comfortable my daughter has been here. We're only leaving because we're moving, and the commute would be too far. This place has set the standard for what a daycare should be, and we can only hope our new one will be just as wonderful.
