Hidden nicely behind beautiful homes and marsh is one of the nicest beach escapes on the South Carolina strand. This beach is mostly private home owners, so crowds tend not to be an issue. The sand. Let me tell you about the sand. It is so soft. So, so, so soft. I mean, it just caresses your feet and slides right off. The water: Some of the best waves. Not too big, but the crest crashes so innocently on the coast. It is beautiful to see and nice to hear. The pier is traditional. It has the look of the old 1920's piers. Loved it. The homes. I could have picked 3 out of every 4 homes along my walk and used it for a movie. In fact, we came up with a speck for a script just walking and looking at the homes. This is one of the nicest and most refreshing South Carolina beaches. Five stars all the way. Big fan.

This is supposedly a non smoking property…read morehowever some owners just smoke in the pool area. 2 of the TV's in our unit 9E required us to download a Roku remote to our phones. That was fine except once the remote was downloaded there was a PIN set preventing us from actually using the Roku TV. The master bedroom was extremely hot and no matter what we did the air wouldn't not flow into it. The room stayed muggy as if the door to the balcony was open, which it was not. Getting back on from the balcony was almost impossible because the sliding doors do not have any kind of handle on the outside. The locks for the sliding doors also would not work, preventing us from locking the doors. This poses a hazard since we have a child with special needs that doesn't understand danger. Everything was keyed and the locks would stick making it difficult to access the building, especially with my small child in tow. For $4k I will not stay here again.

We found food and personal belongings left behind by previous guests, dirty dishes, remote controls hidden between couch cushions covered in grime, a washing machine with a strong mildew odor, and evidence of roaches. Rather than spend our vacation arguing with management, we cleaned the condo ourselves and made the best of it. The real disappointment came after checkout. Instead of addressing the unacceptable condition of the property, Atlantic Resort Group accused our family of failing to meet cleaning expectations that do not exist anywhere in the rental agreement. The contract clearly addresses damages--not routine housekeeping. When we requested evidence to support these allegations, none was provided. Looking back, we realize we overlooked years of declining standards because of the memories we made there. Outdated units, worn furnishings, aging appliances, recurring cleanliness issues, pest concerns, and poor maintenance have become the norm, while prices continue to rise. What concerns me most is not the condition of the property--it's the lack of accountability. Rather than treating long-time customers with fairness and transparency, the company made unsupported accusations and refused to provide the documentation we requested. Sixteen years of loyalty ended with disappointment, unanswered questions, and customer service that fell far below what any guest should expect. If this is how they treat returning families, imagine how easily the same could happen to anyone else. If you choose to stay here, thoroughly document the condition of the property the moment you arrive. Take photos and videos of everything. It may be the only protection you have.

I've been coming to Lands End for 20+ years, first as a teen and then with my own kids. The…read morelocation is great, especially if you stay in the front buildings. It is LITERALLY steps to the beach! The beach usually isn't too crowded, obviously it gets a little tighter on nice sunny days at high tide, but never like the public beaches. The units, however, are hit or miss. We've stayed in great condos with comfy beds and well-equipped kitchens, and also in disgusting condos with black mold, weird smells, and bent utensils. The ratings seem to be very haphazard, our unit this year was rated an A-, but has black mold covering the entire balcony, 15 yo mattresses and only 3 forks. We come prepared for units like this now and always bring our own bedding (including mattress pads and comforters), extra kitchen supplies, and lots of cleaning products. We've looked at other places and for the price and privacy that Land's End offers we just stay longer at the beach when the unit sucks!

The faucets were not tight in the shower of the main bath. The top of the refrigerator looked like it had not been dusted in a year. Master bedroom did not get cool with the ac on. Parking was an absolute joke. I had to call the towing company because nobody is available in the office. I'm still staying here unfortunately. I paid in advance for a week so I'm stuck. Update. The vent in the kitchen ceiling started leaking. Of course they tried to make this our fault. Unfortunately it started leaking and I wasn't aware and when I walked into the dark room I slipped and fell. Owner/maintenance man whoever that was didn't even ask if I was ok. No I'm not ok. I've hurt my knee, my ankle and my lower back.

There was a white, creamy crust dried onto the bead spread. The kitchen was dirty and dated isn't even to be word to describe the decor. The pictures posted of the property online were very misleading. The women in the rental office are extremely rude and kept saying they would send someone to re- clean while we were at the place- During COVID. Like no big deal we will send a stranger over to breath on your family for an hour while We reclean. IT should be clean when you arrive, not after. She just kept saying the same thing over and over as if it would become ok suddenly?) Also, the place smelled like stale, old smoke. She tried to say it was the cleaner that smelled like smoke. They use a smoke scented cleaner?! Overall, I would never do business with this rental company again. The unprofessional attitude and rudeness of the employees was too much to deal with on vacation! We ended up leaving and staying in a nicer, clean place for a lot less money!
