The place is spacious with plenty of nooks to grab a desk and get into a stack of books/newspapers/magazines or the Internet. One can book a room to have a meeting with the library's approval. There are frequent meetings and lectures you can attend monthly. All events are listed online and are posted at the main desk. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. All branches have a wide variety of movies that are either in stock or can be reserved on CDs.

This library has added a couple of additions throughout the years. It's large and very clean. The staff is very friendly and seemed to be very knowledgeable. There are three main floors to the library and computers abound, various reading rooms and a large conference room for private meetings. ESL meets twice a week to help people learn English as a second language. It's a free course throughout the year. Other civic events take place during any particular month, but are too numerous to mention. Restrooms are gender neutral. Most nights the library is open until 8PM. Unfortunately, my experience over the past several weeks has become increasingly frustrating. The biggest issue is that children are running, yelling, and playing throughout the entire library--not just in the children's section. The noise level has become so disruptive that it is often difficult for my students to focus during tutoring sessions. Instead of the quiet environment a library is meant to provide, it frequently feels chaotic. I am also concerned about safety. I have personally witnessed children running through the aisles, playing tag, climbing on bookshelves, screaming at the top of their lungs, and even walking around without shoes. These behaviors create safety risks not only for the children but for other patrons as well. I understand that libraries are community spaces and that children are welcome. However, there still needs to be reasonable supervision and enforcement of library rules so everyone can enjoy the space. Students, tutors, remote workers, and many others rely on the library as a quiet place to study and work. I hope the library can take steps to address these concerns and restore the calm, safe environment that so many members of the community depend on.

There is a free parking. A pavilion is available that sells snacks and has clean restrooms. Cons: $10 beach tag (okay..not so bad since you don't have to pay to park). No food allowed on the beach (must eat at pavilion). No frisbees allowed on the beach. I like to eat on the beach so I don't think I will be back.

Zero stars from me. I love our men and women in uniform. They are our everyday heros. Except one…read more A Howell police Sargent by the name of officer John. This man is the most unprofessional and aggressive officer I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. I'm in the middle of filling complaints. With his superior and then internal affairs, because we all know it's not going past the howell police department. Back in Sept of 24 I was assaulted and called 911. He was the officer who responded. Alone. And he completely dismissed any and everything I had to say... he accused me of being the aggressor and I most definitely wasn't. But he refused to hear me out. He cussed in my face, called me a lair, threatened MY freedom then the man drove off and left me standing there with the man who just assaulted me. He said "if I have to come back here, YOU'RE going to jail. " so the other 4 times I was assaulted by the SAME person I didn't call. I was scared I was going to be called a lair and arrested. The 5th time I did call 911. I had no choice, it was really bad. AGAIN, officer John took the call. He was incredibly rude and dismissive, he laughed in my face when I told him that the guy said he was going to blow up my car, he refused to give me his badge number... I told him to leave, he scares me and I'd like to speak to a non bias officer. He refused. He wasn't even going to talk to the man who assaulted me. I had Two witnesses that seen it happen. He didn't get their names or birthdays. And again. He left me with the man who tried to kill me. He randomly drives by my house for no reason, I live on a dead end.... one way in. One way out... he asks people if I still live here.. I've repeatedly told this horrible little man to stay away from me but it has become harassment. I turned in a complaint to the judge with my ppo on my ex..(the assulter) I've talked to the deputy chief about his actions over the phone.... yet he still finds a way to use his authority to scare me. I've completely had it with this guy. This started on September of 24 and hasn't stopped. He pulled my friend over in my car thinking she was me... had absolutely no probabal cause... he was just trying to find a reason to arrest me. They asked her for her license. Saw she wasn't me and told her she could leave..... um. Wait. What!? That's abuse of power, harassment and just plain trickery.... that's not ok. Idk what else to do. How do you fight the dirty cops?? I live a bad area. We need to be able to count on and trust our officers of the law. He's the only cop in my 43 years on this planet that makes my skin crawl because I know he's just out to get me. I am a good person. I work hard I'm a single mom of three I pay my taxes and I do my best to stay in my lane. I'm the one who called 911.. I was in fear of my life for months because of him. He is an awful man/cop and gives the good ones a bad name. I will not stop telling my story until it's been heard. I'm sure when he hears about this review he'll be right over here looking for any reason possible to take me in. The man needs to be demoted to the howell police department janitor. He has no business wearing a bage and disgracing the rest of the good officers out there. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I hope others have the guts to stand up against him. The only reason he scares me is the abuse of power he's so good at. That's not a fair fight.
