Seaside Health and Rehabilitation Center

Seaside Health and rehabilitation does not have a 5 star rating it's a Terrible facility I put my…read moremom there for rehab she was only there 2 hours. Filthy facility and untrained staff that are only there to collect a pay check. Np patience and the food is terrible. No one has a phone and they leave people in urine covered blankets that only gets on the floor that no one seems to care about. Pull reviews up google the good reviews are obviously from staff because there's no way they'd get 1 star. Save yourself and your family and run far away from this place! Seaside Nursing and rehabilitation and a Psychiatric ward all in one. Zero stars.

Please don't bring your loved one here! Every one of those bad reviews are correct!!! neglectful,…read moredirty, uncaring And the state needs to shut them down! Social services do not respond to phone calls, texts or emails, especially if you're complaining about the facility. Just read the reviews for yourself. Please do not send your loved one here, I can only hope and pray that my mother does not die as I diligently try to get her out! My mother has been there 4 months, since her second week of being there, I've been begging And fighting to get her out. They claim they can't help me! If anybody reading this can direct me to anyone who can help me get her out, pinkorchid74@yahoo... Please send me an email! May God bless the soul who reaches out to me and may God bless each and every human being and sweet loved ones sitting up in that facility that are being neglected current day.. unfortunately, it has forced me to give a one-star rating when they deserve 65,000 negative zeros.

My husband spent two months here after back surgery. First he wasn't getting any rehab so I had to…read morecall and remind them that's in their name. Then they scheduled appointments with his doctors and their transportation person wouldn't show up and he missed the appointments. Then they would order things like a four wheel scooter for him, but nobody would follow up on it, and the order was canceled twice and after three weeks, I was told by a man named Mr. Ramsey that I would need to deal with his physician myself! They were done with him now that he was not a resident. He spent most of the time in his room, depressed, and it was pitiful from one day. He called me and thought he was having a stroke and I had to call back and find the nurses station because nobody had responded to him! If you care about someone, do not send them to this place!!! I would rather keep my loved one in the backyard then send them here! Be forwarned...

My mom had a great experience here in 2015, but let me just say that the pandemic hasn't been a…read moregood thing for this facility. My mom was here for about three weeks, and we are so relieved she is now back in her assisted living facility. First, the great: the PT staff is amazing here -- many of the same staff who were there in 2015 were still there, and mom couldn't say enough good about them -- caring, competent, compassionate, patient-centered. Her weekday CNA, Millie, was an absolute gem, and cared so well for my mom. Thanks to Millie and the PT folks! And now, the awful: The weekend "staff" was appalling. Mostly agency staff who didn't know patients and, frankly, were either overworked/understaffed and/or didn't care. Mom waited extended periods of time for pain medication, her calls to the bathroom went unanswered for long periods of time (leading to accidents), and she was left on the toilet for 40 minutes one evening. Responses to our complaints were, for the most part, curt and uncaring. Discharge was a complete disorganized mess. I've worked as a long-term care nurse, and I know this job is hard. I know the system is set up to not work well, and it's even harder in this environment. But a little bit of caring and compassion goes a long way, and we saw it only in a few pockets at Carlton this time around. (And no, I don't want to talk to someone at Carlton to resolve this; they had their chance when my mom was there. Take a hard look at yourselves, folks.)
