All we wanted to do was come home and be together. The consult with Dr Scoccia started things off. The team led by Lyndsey was great. Betsy from Admissions was there the first night coordinating the drug transition from Mayo. Our Nurse Jennifer and CNA Christine both became trusted friends as well as professional care givers. Yanique and Athena both filled in when necessary and were immediately knowledgeable of my wife's condition and needs. Kim, Patty and Heather were comforting when they visited offering some non medical but helpful advice. I will never forget all you did for my wife in her last weeks and dats. Thank you, Mr Steve

He was home on Tuesday nurse didn't show until Friday. My mom called Wednesday and the nurse said I'll be there tomorrow (Thursday). Nurse was a no show and no call. My mom had to call and ask what happened, "oh they double booked me I'll be there today". My step father is dying. We need support. No support at all. Completely absent. Have yet to receive any medications from hospice since my father has been home, which is now one week. They say you will have a HHA 3x week - that is a lie. Again, my stepfather has been home a week, not a single visit or call to confirm when a HHA will be out. Watching my father slowly die has been hard, but having to watch my mother go through this experience with Halifax Hospice has really been soul crushing. I haven't stopped crying. I would not wish this on anyone. Hospice is supposed to provide comfort to patient and families. There has been zero comfort. He has been home one week and we've had no meds to comfort the patient. None. He has been suffering. This is what we will remember as his last days. What a traumatic experience. This man deserves so much better. This will haunt me forever

Caregivers and sick patients don't need to deal with Incompetence and being left in a dangerous situation without Meds and Equipment without having the chance to procure the Meds/Equipment. I was told by Social Worker that the Halifax Health Hospice Care Centers would NOT accept LEwy Body Dementia patients! HORRIBLE CARE!!! PROTECT YOURSELF and YOUR LOVED ONE. The environment was clean, and the rooms were homey. There is a garden that was very calming to our minds when we needed to step out for a bit. Which wasn't true because it's been an hour and they never once have called us back. They're liars. We had somewhere to be and now one of our family members is going to have to come thanks to this stupid useless company. We're not even going to bother calling them again. The girl that we had was always late but she was good to our family member but she had long nails that could have cut his skin. It was unsanitary. Never again will we be using this company.
