Total visits to the house 5 that does not count the two no shows. Just received the bill to insurance billed for 15 visits and over $22k. Total fraud. Do not recommend.

Hospice care is a scary thing, but my grandmother was in good hands in her final few weeks of life…read more After receiving the news that she'd need lengthy testing surgery in order to improve her condition, my grandmother's last wish was to go home and die in peace. My mother and her siblings were in no shape to care for her, so hospice was there regularly to aid in her care. After several days of having a hard time managing the pain, the nurse recommended that they transfer her to the hospice care center across the street. The move was painful, but she was much more comfortable here in her final days. The center is beautiful, with a lovely garden that wraps around, and a screened porch off each room, and even a sitting room with a lively fish tank, couch, TV, and refreshments. The nurses were attentive and informative, and really made us find comfort at the end. It's hard to say goodbye, but I'm glad that we allowed these angels to care for my Nana.

They did not let my dear old dad get away with squat! They push him as far as he could go with a lot of love and support. I overheard a couple of Family members of a different resident complaining about some petty issues. I put some thought into what they were saying and questioned the validity. It occurred to me that there was definitely a difference in the care that my dad was receiving in the ICU wing of the local hospital versus the care at this rehab facility. I recognize the importance of understanding that there is a huge difference in the mission of each facility. For what Port Orange is here for... They are knocking it out of the park. I do not have any suggestions on how to make the place better. Thank you for focusing on your mission.

The quality of care these patients receive is the bare minimum the food is worse than prison food…read more My mother sat in dinning room for an hour and half waiting on a plate of food that wasn't edible. My mom recently had hundreds of dollars come up missing out of her account. That she has been waiting a month on it to be returned and still hasn't there's not enough nurses on the floor until state comes in and then it's all hands on deck that's when they actually get real food served to them and it's ridiculous if you care for your loved ones look else where for them to stay

He was home on Tuesday nurse didn't show until Friday. My mom called Wednesday and the nurse said I'll be there tomorrow (Thursday). Nurse was a no show and no call. My mom had to call and ask what happened, "oh they double booked me I'll be there today". My step father is dying. We need support. No support at all. Completely absent. Have yet to receive any medications from hospice since my father has been home, which is now one week. They say you will have a HHA 3x week - that is a lie. Again, my stepfather has been home a week, not a single visit or call to confirm when a HHA will be out. Watching my father slowly die has been hard, but having to watch my mother go through this experience with Halifax Hospice has really been soul crushing. I haven't stopped crying. I would not wish this on anyone. Hospice is supposed to provide comfort to patient and families. There has been zero comfort. He has been home one week and we've had no meds to comfort the patient. None. He has been suffering. This is what we will remember as his last days. What a traumatic experience. This man deserves so much better. This will haunt me forever

Hubby was with them with TERMINAL Lewy Body Dementia…read morefor almost 2 years and they were consistently INCOMPETENT and DISCHARGED Hubby Effective that night.... because of a disagreement I had with Social Worker who was ALSO Incompetent and unable to provide Respite for Me (as Caregiver)...EVER. Left us with No Meds, Supplies or Equipment. We Appealed Discharge with Acentra Health and WON ...and they still Refused to provide CARE for my Husband. Suggest you try Advent Health Hospice instead. Caregivers and sick patients don't need to deal with Incompetence and being left in a dangerous situation without Meds and Equipment without having the chance to procure the Meds/Equipment. I was told by Social Worker that the Halifax Health Hospice Care Centers would NOT accept LEwy Body Dementia patients! HORRIBLE CARE!!! PROTECT YOURSELF and YOUR LOVED ONE. DONT CHOOSE HALIFAX HEALTH HOSPICE!!!!
