I have always heard that once you establish yourself with an institution of this type, loans on cars, homes and personal emergencies are quickly a d easily attained. Such is NOT the case. I don't know if my ex has a friend working there that is giving me a bad rap but i had an emergency loan request denied despite having a 100% on time payment history and a 663 credit score. I intend to be at the next board meeting and voice my displeasure. Multiple promises to call me back, then told messages were left and they were not. I was so proud of my association with GLCU and even participated in their fun runs across the street to promote their community involvement. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE LONG TIME CUSTOMER??? So sad to see such callous and impersonal rejection when a need arises. Credit Union should be replaced with Private Social Club.

He followed up, always communicating, and making it very easy on us to execute during a busy family life and holiday period! We have worked with him multiple times over the past 20 years now and I wouldn't work with anyone else! The only disappointment we have and it isn't Ed but rather the industry as a whole is how the evaluation of property value is done. When there is a sale of a home, magically the value is approved and makes sense most of the time. On a refinance, no one seemingly "fights" or stands up to a pure numbers game without any consideration to the condition of the home or upgrades needed or improvements made etc. this was quite disappointing and something I feel like the industry can do better for customers with.
