There are also some small stores, a bank and GameStop, along with places to eat, so you could get a lot done here if you want. I used to come here often when I lived nearby and this shopping center wasn't built up as much as it is now. I think it's great that they really improved this area.

Other businesses include: Enterprise Rent a Car, tax services, salons, martial arts and the Dragon Rouge restaurant. The Dragon Rouge is behind the auto parts store and along the waterfront. I walked in and went straight to the body care/skin care section on the right. There was a large stock of lotions, but not so much the face roller and ice roller. I got the last of each. There weren't many cashiers when i got to the line, but they called another associate to the register and she was getting through the line fast. I was in line for no more than 5 minutes with about 7 customers ahead of me. It was an average experience, hence the 3 stars.

The building used to be occupied by Office Depot and is huge. This is the first Ross in Oakland so I'm looking forward to shopping here more often! This is a large Ross and I like the fact that there is more room for merchandise and the check-out area is smaller and all the check stands are in a row. Really, I thought immediately the place was out of my price range, but a friendly stranger told me I should go look inside, offering that you could do cute date nights and make your own scents here, but then she assured me the place was black owned, and I HAD to at least see what gems were hiding inside. And there were so many! Bath salts you could mix to bring home, an oil scent lab, and all sorts of adorable accessories that caught my eye: lacy socks, perfect for Docs; some earrings at a great price point; and some sunglasses that no one else will be wearing ANYWHERE, for a mere $20! The woman working the store was just so friendly, and told us to cash is Queen in here store, if you know what I mean? But, I've found my favorite place to invest my modest disposable income at when I'm in Alameda. I'll be back to crate an oil scent roller...for $15! That's absurd. And it was sweet the store has my father's name: To Herb With Love. My mom must've been sending me angel messages.
