I was a little worried about the most recent reviews, but this hotel is fine. The front desk was friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Super cold ac! Nice! This hotel also has a great breakfast buffet and cheap vending machines. I would stay here again. read more

This place accommodated my brother and I overnight in an emergency situation and we couldn't be happier to have found them. I was able to have my dog, plus my rescue, staying there for only $25 in pet fees. We did the 8 hour drive straight from Philly and found this place once we got to New Bern. The front desk was super nice and helpful and called to check on us once we were settled in. They gave us easy door access which led to the marina and docks, which was a stunning view. Check out time is NOON, they offer breakfast 6-9, pool for warm season, and CLEAN rooms. We typically don't need a hotel in New Bern, but this is one we will definitely be using/recommending in the future! read more

July 4 th, mall cops were guarding the parking lot so nobody can park there. I can see that. We were on foot and they wouldn't even let us walk through to a common bridge. They lied and said all rooms were booked. The hotel has never been fully repaired after Hurricane Helene. I would never recommend this place. They have never been a good hotel. read more

My husband stayed in Room 414 on July 11, 2026. When he turned down the sheet there were bed bugs on the sheet and in the nasty carpet. It was midnight and he had spent the previous night in the airport due to a weather delay so he just slept in a chair. It was so gross. Due to exhaustion he did not say anything. He is 80 years old and is going to a Purple Heart Convention at a different hotel. I am going to call tomorrow so I can talk to a manager. read more

We just checked in today bc we bought a house in New Bern and can't move in until Saturday. We have 2 nights here. They cannot pass fast enough. From the moment we entered this place we realized we had made a terrible mistake...based on trusting reviews on Yelp. The girl at the desk obviously hates her job. Her answer to every question was "NO". Our tub is old, dingy and dirty and our room smells weird. NO restaurant, no frills, no nada. But the sunset was worth the outrageous cost for this dump. read more

The Manager is very rude. She seems to be more concerned with showing off her power than having compassion or understanding.

It was an all right hotel a little pricey, but it was a last-minute book the staff was very nice the morning breakfast was OK. The elevator stopped working, and we had to use the stairs a little while our power went out but it came back on the rooms are a little. The room reminded me of the Renaissance, which was cute and cozy, but a little different to modern day room. read more

We pulled in late at night after driving all day. The staff was friendly and the room/hotel was clean.. a little warn but comfortable. The breakfast was average. Enough to fill you up but not great. Scrambled eggs were hot but watery and the sausage was cooked but not appetizing. The cereal, bread, yogurt drinks and hotcakes were good. We would stay again. The bast part, when we woke up and looked out the window, a beautiful view was in front of us. You can also walk to the marina and over the bridge to downtown New Bern Reasonable price compared to the upscale the other hotels tried to do. read more

Great location across the bridge from the historic downtown. Easy free parking. Hotel is average and little dated but our room was clean. The heat/ac unit was very noisy but we thought it was OK for a night or two. Free breakfast was good, get there early. Vending machines, drink machines, very small exercise room, not much there. No restaurant or pool and the marina is closed. We liked the location mainly. They do charge your card an addition $100 deposit in case you mess up the room then you get refunded if everything is OK when you leave. Still not sure if this got refunded yet since we were just checking our past Sunday (not a fan of that). read more

**DISGUSTING HOTEL. NO REFUNDS** The white sheets & comforter looked clean but there was something black on one of the white pillowcases. The nightstands & computer desk lamps were covered in thick layers of dust. The bathroom wasn't any better: the sink & countertop looked wiped down, but the toilet seat & underneath were not clean, & there was hair on the bathtub. I called the front desk (and the phone looked like it hadn't been cleaned/wiped off in quite some time), housekeeping arrived promptly & "cleaned" the bathroom. As I was setting up my laptop on the computer desk, I pulled out the office chair to sit down & the black seat was visibly covered in what appeared to be human bodily fluids. This was absolutely filthy & totally unacceptable. After housekeeping left, I looked at the bathroom & the toilet seat still wasn't clean. I gathered all my belongings, went downstairs to the front desk, told the clerk the room was not clean enough to stay in & I checked out. I requested a full refund, which she absolutely refused. I emailed the manager & she also refused a refund stating they could've given me another room. No, thanks!! If one's this dirty chances are the others are just as bad. Manager said my reasons aren't "valid". So, a filthy room is not a good enough reason to refund a customer. I booked thru Expedia, and because the General Manager, Jennifer Michels, refused a refund I paid about $150 for a filthy room that I was in for 30 minutes. DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! read more

I booked 2 month in advance, checked in, got room and card to open door, went to room, went to sleep and at 0700 got woke up with hammers sawing and drilling sounds all around my room. A Wednesday, called later and asked WHY WAS THIS REMODELING PROJECT NOT EXPLAINED TO ME WHEN BOOKED AND/or WHEN I CHECKED IN? Desk person says well they don't start till 0800, I said 0700 on the spot is when they started. Also why wasn't I told any of this. Cuz I wouldn't have came here. All desk says was well I can tell the manager that they started before 0800. What a joke, no apologies, No can we give you a discount, No can we switch your room farther away from the area, nothing but I can tell the manager. Lol I won't ever recommend this HOTEL FOR ANYONE FOR ANY REASON read more

Beautiful view from our room. Comfortable bed. Older hotel that has been updated. Found a great deal online making it a better value than being in Historic New Bern. The continental breakfast was tasty. The staff at check-in was very friendly, but the guy at check-out was definitely lacking in friendliness. Would absolutely stay here again. read more

If I could give fewer stars I would. The good: The staff is all really kind (for the most part) especially the gals at the from desk & the location is ideal. That's the only positive. The bad: Cockroaches are just considered normal in this hotel We woke up to find young cockroaches in the room the day before we were supposed to check out; the general manager said that there is nothing they can do about it (no discount or anything like that) because we booked through Agoda. The general manager sounded like she didn't care & as though we were simply bothering her by letting her know they have cockroaches. She didn't even say they would take measures to prevent it for future guests or anything. They serve breakfast daily, thank gods we haven't eaten anything there. After talking to the hotel a bit more a few hours later, we've been told the general manager just won't do refunds for ANY pests seen in the hotel. We were told she thinks it's normal to have cockroaches in a hotel (that also serves food) because of the environment. We were told that she isn't concerned about them despite the health hazard they pose to people. There are a few other issues beyond the roaches though as well. The sink has black mold running from the pipe down the wall a good 5 inches at least, from what I assume is a leak they never fixed. When we have made sure often to not have the 'do not disturb' sign up the room still often isn't touched by staff at all. There is mold growing in the toilet, it has been there the past 3 times they 'cleaned' the room. It hasn't been dealt with & there is nothing in the room for us to be able to clean it with. There is mold all around the walls & ceiling in the bathroom as well. Nobody has dusted the room since long before we got to it or at all since we've been here, the lightbulbs in the lamps were all covered in thick dust when we arrived. The wall air conditioning unit is plugged into an extension cord instead of the wall as well but that's obviously the least of my issues. read more

I will never stay here again! It is filthy! There was a hole in the ceiling in our bathroom above the toilet, our shower curtain had brown stains on it. I requested a new one but it was never brought to us. The sides of our mattress had stains all over it. Was concerned about walking in the room without shoes on the floors were gross. This place needs new management and a thorough cleaning. A lady in the elevator told my husband she had to ask for a new room because hers had mold in it. read more

Decent hotel with friendly night staff, particularly the young front desk clerk originally from NY - she was friendly and engaging. Hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay but we didn't experience any noise during sleeping hours. Beautiful views and next door to Outback Steakhouse. Continental breakfast was decent - eggs, cereal, sausage, yogurt - a nice selection, but the waffle machine is my favorite. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. I called the front desk yesterday and told them I was considering driving down from Connecticut overnight last night if it was possible to check in early.  The woman I spoke to told me it was not a problem, there would be a room ready by 10.  I arrived at 0930, after driving all night and was told that there was no way that was possible.  I asked for the manager on duty (Jennifer) and was told she was too busy to speak to me.  I informed the desk that I would wait. When she finally made an appearance, she refused to give me the name of the woman working the desk the day before and told me it was "against policy".  Policy is policy, that is understandable, but what is inexcusable is that the employee was so poorly trained that after driving for 12 hours solely because I was informed that I could check in early,I was turned away.   The mangers attitude was horrendous, with little to no customer service skills.  She then disappeared to the back, reappeared and said, with the worst attitude I have EVER HEARD out of someone working in hospitality, and I travel for a living, "Your reservation ACTUALLY said you were going to be arriving between. 8 and 9 pm." Yes, I know because I was ORIGINALLY going to drive during the day, but because of your incompetent staff I drove overnight. I am less than pleased, and I highly suggest you retrain your staff. read more

Let me start off my saying that I am probably being overly generous with my three stars if I'm basing my review solely on accommodations, but due to the nice staff and great views I'm settling. I should mention that we didn't choose this hotel on our own, I was previously booked at a Marriott in which they had overbooked their rooms and thought they were being helpful by arranging accommodations for me here - therefore, with several other hotels already sold out, I didn't have much choice. I wasn't given the best impression initially when our Uber driver told us it was probably the lowest hotel on the totem pole, however he wasn't far from the truth. The 'lobby', if you can even call it that, is small and outdated. The halls and elevator smell of mold. Upon first sight, the hotel room itself looked nice..but upon closer inspection it couldn't be farther from the truth. The walls were scratched and missing paint, there were stains on the blankets, rug, and chair as well as mold on the bathroom ceiling. There was garbage and old food under my bed, and I *might* have had a mouse as a roommate, though I didn't want to look below the bed further to confirm. The room does has a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot which could be convenient but I didn't trust the cleanliness of them after seeing the other room conditions. The only pros of this place were the nice views of the marina and the continental breakfast was pretty decent, there were eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit, waffle maker, cereal, coffee and juices. I would not choose to stay here again unless management did a complete remodel - the potential is there, they just have to put some TLC into it! read more

The location is great. The staff is attentive and service oriented but it's hard to overcome the need for renovation. Bed was comfortable but "view window" was filthy. The view through the streaky window would have been spectacular. Bathtub was stained, tile was ugly and flooring tile cracked. Linens were ample and clean. Coffee maker was on opposite side of room as water and supplies were not replenished. A/C was noisy but worked well. It's really too bad as the place has great potential. Breakfast was hot, not tasty, but served as well as the quality of food would allow. Coffee at breakfast was good and hot. You get what you pay for here... but no more. The folks with dogs had easy access to outdoors. Parking was easy. read more

I would not recommend anyone stay here! We were not the only visitors who complained of clogged tubs that were stained and dirty. Our room was not cleaned, but clean towels were delivered while a pile of dirty towels were left on the floor. That gave the housekeeping staff an opportunity to steal a brand new bottle of expensive mens cologne off the vanity and leave. Breakfast bar consisted of packaged muffins, packets of oatmeal and self serve cereal in dispensers. The whole place is very tired and in need of renovation. And honest employees. read more

Convenient location to historic downtown New Bern. Bathroom had soap scum on fixtures and floor was grubby. Carpet in room is old and stained. Killed a couple of bugs crawling the wall. We came in town for a dance competition. as a group we probably booked 15 rooms. When we walked in to check in the staff was arguing with a guest however we didn't know what it was about but thought it was very unprofessional. The week we were coming in town the dance company called on three different occasions to inquire about a space to practice for about an hour on Friday evening. They never received a call back. However, early Friday afternoon they spoke with a manager who granted them permission to use the lobby. The lobby isn't large but there was plenty of room for the girls to run through their dances and stay out of the way. After about 40 minutes of practicing the new staff member on duty approached the group and told them they had to leave the lobby. They tried to explain that the manager had given them permission. However this staff member grew irate and started yelling. Threatening to kick the whole group out of the hotel with no refund if they didn't leave the lobby. The girls were mortified that this person was attacking them after they had already been given permission. In addition to this horrible experience the hotel rooms were disgusting. There was mold growing on the caulk around the shower. I can guarantee there are 15 families that will never step foot in this hell hole again. read more

My first experience at the hotel was the front desk staff who was not wearing a mask despite the local mandate. She was also not requiring them of any other guests as people walked around mask free. The room itself needed updating: cracked tiles in the bathroom, paint chipping on the ceiling, carpet looked disgusting but that was not the worst of it! The room was also FILTHY. The bedding was not clean with old blood stains, hair in the bed, something spilled down the side of the bed and was not cleaned. There was mold and thick dust. We complained and left a day early. My wife and I came here for a weekend getaway for our 25th anniversary. The hotel is recently renovated and is really nice. It's within walking distance of historic downtown. The staff is really friendly and very accommodating. They offer the standard hotel breakfast off scramble eggs, bacon, cereal, and waffles. However the breakfast room is well above average. It used to be a restaurant so it's a nice size room with very large windows that look out onto the marina. Although I prefer the local eateries, there is an Outback Steakhouse in an adjoining parking lot. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The entire hotel was really clean. We will very likely stay here again. read more

BridgePointe Hotel & Marina - Decent view from pretty much anywhere in the hotel - Hotels Near Me - New Bern, North Carolina

I rented two rooms at this hotel for family members and me who were attending a wedding in the area. Check in was fine, the woman at the desk was friendly and efficient. The rooms were a different story however. My room had a large stain on the carpet in the entryway and it was apparent that repairs had been done to the walls in that area and the residue from the work had never been cleaned up. There was a hair pin and many strands of hair on the bathroom floor along with a used piece of gum stuck to the floor. I had to call the front desk at 11pm to have a shower curtain brought to the room as it was missing. There was someone else's shampoo on the shelf in the bathtub. And the toilet was barely functional. The other room was also dirty; bathtub did not drain properly leaving them standing ankle deep in water while showering. For the money I spent I definitely expected the rooms to at least be clean. Very disappointing and would never stay here again or recommend it. read more

I don't like giving this hotel a three star because for the most part it was at least 4 - except for the noise and hassle. Location is wonderful. Breakfast is good. Room is nice and comfortable, and hotel is clean. Staff is incredibly friendly. Rooms have fridge and microwave. Pool is nice. Views are incredible and price is good. So why three stars? First, we arrived at 4pm on a Friday. Check in is 3pm. We had literally been traveling since 9pm the night before. Our room was not ready. Not only us, there were four others waiting for rooms too. Not a good start to our stay. Second, our keys kept getting erased. We were here 5 days and 4 of them required is to walk back to the front desk because our key would not open the door. Even upon arrival. Third, and most annoying, is noise. We got woken up every single day because of noise. First two days it was kids running in the hallway. I can't knock the hotel for that though, they don't have control of other people's kids. The other three days it was the painters in the adjacent rooms. Day one, moving furniture at 8am. Day two was scraping wallpaper off the walls. Day three was sanding the walls. We are not early risers, but if check out us noon, I should be able to sleep til 10am if I want to. Other noise issues included the two bunny rabbits screwing all night long in one of the rooms. I called them and asked him to have her enjoy herself a bit more quietly and she did. But at 9am (after we woke up to sanding next door) my daughter, who is 5, was asking me why the woman was screaming next door. Last was housekeeping. We got a note at 930am each morning telling us that we had our do not disturb sign out and had to notify the desk if we needed service. Housekeepers are scheduled to work til 1pm, so why do I need to ask the front desk for service? Come back after you have cleaned the departures and then leave me the note. Overall, our stay wasnt bad, and I would probably stay here again. But with much lower expectations read more
