The club recently opened a dedicated space called Bluebird Mahjong Studio, and it's been an incredible place to learn and play. As a beginner, I've found the staff to be welcoming, patient, and eager to teach. There's always someone--staff or regulars--willing to explain strategies, discuss hands, or help you understand the game better. Bluebird also has Instagram and Discord pages with study materials that helped me go from a total beginner to an intermediate player. In the studio, there's a small fee to play (or even just watch), which helps maintain their six automatic tables--a rare treat! Weekends (especially Saturday and Sunday) tend to be the busiest, but they're also open on select weekdays. I came here for a special Juneteenth Black Swan Hour program put on my Vegas City Opera. Before the show, I got a chance to view their annual art contest. This is special about this Arts Center--even when there isn't a large art display, there is a small gallery that almost always has art to enjoy. Ticketing is done by the City of Las Vegas using the Ovation Tix platform and having your ticket on the phone is super easy and convenient. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. We are fortunate to have spaces like this run by the city and/or county. It really makes our community richer!
