It's wonderful not having to pay extra for heat, air conditioning, water, sewer, trash, a garage parking space, Wifi, and Directv. There's a pickleball court, fenced dog park, garden boxes close to the building for residents to grow vegetables, flowers etc. There is an indoor pool, exercise room, theater, library, simulated golf, and many areas to entertain family and friends. In the summer there are free music concerts at the park down the street. Our maintenance staff is excellent and our community director is top notch along with the staff.

I had a recent change in my job and need to relocate to be closer. I really debated sucking up the 1.5 hour commute because I am so happy here. What's to love: a garage space included in the rent, lots and lots and lots of storage, generally a very quiet place, the management is so responsive to requests, great outdoor pool and a super convenient location. I can get to downtown Minneapolis in 15 minutes, downtown St. Paul in 20 minutes, 694 in 2 minutes.... The property is owned by Mateer Properties. They own three or so other apartment complexes in the area. I highly recommend them and highly recommend this property. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to live here and hope the next tenants have as good of an experience as I have had.

The location is fabulous, and the layout of the apartments is great. Having that said, this place would do SO much better if the owners were able to address some of the typical things that come with older buildings, such as creaking floors and ill-fitting windows. The center pool is great, but there isn't enough furniture out there. It's overall a relatively quiet place, and they address noise issues quickly, but I ended up moving because of being on a the basement level and not being able to tolerate the noise above me. A running dog, running child, and at least one parent who liked getting their steps in overhead was too much for days I worked at home. But again, the management did what they could. My daughter visited, toured, took pictures and sent them to us. We moved in and found EVERYTHING just as promised! Bright, cheery and updated. We lived on top floor,!had wonderful neighbors who were all very friendly, respectful of noise, TV, and all respectful of the "quiet hours." The managers and leasing agents: Nadine, Muriel and Salisha were all super friendly, always helpful and always responded promptly to any service request. Our building manager, Millie- kept our building super clean, the sidewalks and walk-ways were always cleared promptly of snow and our parking areas were also cleared promptly. The price is a bit on the upper side, BUT you have clean, quiet, safe, we'll managed property and nice tenants. The only minor irritant were some of the pet owners who didn't take their furry friends to the pet lieu area in proper time, as the yellow snow and dead flowers/vegetation along the sidewalk out of the building was -at times- an unpleasant site. But it was quickly addressed and notices posted reminding pet ow era to be attentive to the pet rules. We moved to an apartment complex that had a pet free building (allergies to pets), closer to work area and had an indoor/outdoor pool, sauna and hot tub. We are sad that we moved. While I understand others might have a different experience at this apartment complex, I do want to…read moregive an honest review- perhaps one of the only reviews I've ever taken the time for. As a young single woman, I always felt safe here (at least from people). So there is that. However, I was on a ground level apartment, and I had two windows that I could never lock myself. I did bring this up with management, but they sent two maintenance men to force it shut and lock it. I could never do this myself. After a few times, I stopped asking and put a board up to feel more security, but I still wanted fresh air from time to time. Outside of that, my one-star review is primarily for the following two-reasons: 1. Mold 2. Dust Mold: On three separate occasions, I had mold in my ceiling and they had to take a chunk out of the ceiling to patch it up. These were caused by pipes bursting or a washing machine leaking. Twice was in the bathroom, and once in the 2nd bedroom. Pipes appear to be bursting all over this building as you walk through the hallways, you can see some odd-colored patches on the ceiling and tacks holding up the wall paper. I came home from a vacation once and found my closet was moist and water dripping down the walls. On another occasion in the same bedroom closet, I noticed that the carpet was soaked again and I could hear water running behind the walls. They were very slow to fix the mold in bathroom, even though I called and messaged multiple times and was concerned for my health. The first time I experienced the issue, I was even corrected by the office that it wasn't mold, it was mildew (she said this without coming to look first). Regardless, it needed to be fixed. I saw a range of colors from pink to tan to black to green growing on my ceiling. During this period, my hairline began to recede. While I can't really know if the mold had anything to do with it, I wouldn't be surprised. While hair loss has never been a problem for women in my family, I went to the doctor to confirmed the hair loss. Fortunately, now that I've moved out, it appears to be filling back in. I was so worried it was just me and it would never come back! Also, I've never lived anywhere that was dustier in my life. Dust would accumulate after just one week like the item had been abandoned for two years- even a can of soup that I bought the week prior! For some of my clothing that I was not wearing often (like my nice suits), they were lined with dust on the shoulders. I had to rinse out my Tupperware each time I used it because it would have lines of dust. When I moved out, I washed all my clothing since they all had this gritting dusty feel to it. I do not think this is healthy, and air flow is very poor during the winter months. I'm not sure it's good to breath that in all the time. There is definitely more I could say, but I feel this is enough for a 1-star review. Safe from crime standpoint, but I'm not sure if it's safe for health there. After a full year, I left. They did issue me a rental credit of $100 for my troubles, which was laughably about as little as you could do. I had sent an e-mail that presented my understanding of the rent credit, but I never heard a response. I called to ask about this "rent credit" piece after I received the deposit. Her snappy response hurt after all I went through, and I was always so nice and understanding about it all when perhaps I should not have been. At least here, I can warn others.

The laundry rooms are on every level and also open 24 hours. I enjoy being able to park my car in the garage and walking to Medicine lake in the summer. Once we realized the problem, Heritage staff Renate worked quickly to get him into a different apartment. I don't know what we would have done had they not worked with us. I highly recommend renting from Heritage Heights apartments with Charlotte who did our lease & Renate who contacted my son & myself throughout process of moving him.

WARNING: IF YOU OWN A VEHICLE DO NOT LIVE HERE…read more For the most part, Heritage Heights is a decent market-rate property. However, they have a major parking problem, and the management has outright refused to address the issue. Their solution: Pay $50 a month extra for a garage (if you own a full-sized pickup it won't fit) to ensure you have off street parking. Even now (2/20/19) I've been told there's a waitlist for garages. Parking here is NOT controlled. They give you a parking pass, but this is just window dressing. The parking lots are for everyone's use (residents, off lease people living here, friends, and even random people). In winter the property management hires a vendor to plow the snow in the lots. The problem is they plow it in to parking spaces. In the lot in front of my building we've already lost 10 spaces to snow storage. The lot is commonly full by 7:00 PM and, if you leave, you're likely going to have to park on the street and take your chances with getting a ticket (like several residents 3 days ago). Still the management refuses to act to ensure residents have a place to park, or even enforce parking of residents only (and give guests temp parking passes or a few spaces in each lot). Don't take my word for it, ask the following questions when calling or on your tour: 1. Is there enough parking to ensure residents can find parking off-street? 2. Is parking an issue in the winter? 3. If I can't find a place to park when I arrive, and it's a snow emergency, where do I park? Finally, STOP and ask residents themselves before you go in or as you leave. They'll confirm what this review states.

Loden SV is a luxury apartment complex situated in Shoreview, close to businesses, and stores…read more My experience at Loden SV was pleasant but nothing exceptional. The things I liked were the facilities, nice gym, outdoor pool, dog wash area, and an elegant common room area. The things that I did not like about the building was that the staff seemed to only care about themselves and not really the residents. I had a few issues which I felt like when I would go to the staff about the answers were rude and not reassuring. I had issues of my packages being torn open, taped back together, and missing items. You pay a $500 cleaning fee when moving in but then I am still charged for tiny stains that the building says they were able to get out of the carpet. Which I should not be charged extra for unless it was not removable. What was the point of paying a $500 cleaning fee in the first place. It puts your mind at ease but then after moving out you find out they will charge you for something that can be fixed. When I first moved in on move in day, they messed up the scheduling to reserve my loading zone time which left a bad taste in my mouth as soon as I moved in. I had signed my lease 6 months before move in and after a month of waiting I wanted to cancel, but they wouldn't let me unless I paid ridiculous fees. Which the building was not even open yet and my unit not even built yet, so there should have been an easier way since it was still many months ahead. I've lived at other Luxury apartments before and for what you pay at Loden I would say is 50% worth it. The amenities are the winner. But, having to deal with staff, and all the policies it is not that great. Also, having to worry about your mail is really stressful. All in all, I didn't want to move here, but was stuck into the lease. I made the most of my experience while there, but there were definitely issues along the way.
