Such a lovely location for a Sunday roast before or after a walk on Little Venice

A great location for a relax Sunday roast among friends. Staff is so nice and friendly. Asked for extra delicious gravi and got it in a blink of an eye! Wine are a bit over expensive but good fast!

The Bridge House Pub is below the Canal Café Theatre in Little Venice. It is a fairly small pub with seating around the bar, at the end of which is a double sofa set. The lights are set low and the whole ambience suggests an attempt to create a 'boho' snug bar. It is a fair attempt. The bar is well stocked with Leffe on tap and Hendricks gin. There is also food which is largely in the form of tapas, sharing plates. It is quite a comfortable pub, unfortunately when I have been the service has been slow and vaguely dismissive. If you're going to see a show it is worth going in for a quick drink, although buy a couple of drinks at a time and relax in the comfy sofas.

I think our server was a bit dazed and confused. The food and drinks were decent albeit a bit overpriced. But the reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because they thought because I'm not from there they could scam me by giving me an old 10£ note for change that I couldn't use anymore.

The place is really decent from the inside and the staff is very sweet as well. I did not have a chance to view one of the live comedy shows but the stage seems very posh, which is always good. I ordered two sides of sweet potato fries, those were superb and very tasty. I also had a lemonade and a late for my wife, they were not particularly wow, but were above average. The reason why this review is only 3 stars is due to their lack of choices of beer, especially the non alcoholic type. I would have expected them to have a larger variety of alcohol free beers since they advertise about their beer collection. This in my opinion is a massive shortcoming. I might visit them again soon and if this changes I will make sure to update my review. Oh yeah, they took a really long time to prepare the late as well which was very strange as the place was not really busy.

Perfect bar for before or after a show at Canal Cafe Theatre (which is upstairs). They have typical pub food (the fish and chips are good). They have a good beer selection (including casks), there's a ton of seating (but make a reservation if you're a big group) and they have board games! Staff is also super friendly. The men's bathroom has a weird, awkward layout though.

We've often stopped off here whilst walking along the canal. It's a good place to go. Everyone chooses to sit or stand outside when the weather permits - there's a reasonable view of the river and it's a peaceful spot. The beer is good. We've never eaten here but the food looked reasonable.

We specifically came to try fish and chips, so we were lucky that The Mall Tavern was nearby. Each of us ordered fish and chips, and all of our plates were left nearly empty. My goodness, I have never had better fish and chips than here at The Mall Tavern. The fish was crispy, and the chips were perfectly salted to taste. I appreciate that chips in England are more like potato wedges than classic American french fries. Way less fried and way less salty, so you can enjoy the actual taste of the potatoes! I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese that we all shared. I don't know what kind of cheese(s) was used, but it was the perfect starter to our meal. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding for the first time. It was hard not to order another one!! We came in for late lunch, so the restaurant was empty. I assume they are much busier at lunch and dinner time. I also enjoyed the selection of beer while we waited for our food to come out. Next time I'm in London, I'm returning here immediately.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I ordered the beef roast, and we also shared a side of the creamy cauliflower, which was to die for. I truly cannot sing the praises of this restaurant enough. The service was personable and welcoming, making it easy and comfortable to ask questions and try new things. One of the managers (apologies I don't know her name) checked in on us several times and even encouraged a few of us to try additional menu items. The food came out quickly, and once it arrived, the table went completely silent because we were all too busy enjoying every bite. I highly, highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting London and even the locals. A solid 10/10 experience!

One eventually came to our table after sitting awhile. I of course had to try the fish n chips. A couple of veggie burgers were ordered and a regular burger. Surprisingly happy hour was still on at 8 o'clock so drinks were ordered. The food all came at the same time and everything was cool. The fish had a nice flavor from the fried batter. To me it was similar to Long John Silvers as far as the batter is concerned, but slightly better quality overall. The fries were standard. The only thing horrible was the very bland mashed green peas. They should be omitted from every pub across the country, but I think it is a traditional item included with the fish. The cocktails were good as well as the price. The sticky toffee pudding was something else I was advised to try while in London. I must admit it was really delicious. It came with a scoop of ginger ice cream and a warm buttery toffee sauce to pour over. It was delightfully warm and sweet and paired well with the ice cream. The cake itself was moist enough on its own with notes of brown sugar and molasses. I could have had seconds and thirds of this desert. Yum! The majority of my party didn't think the food was fantastic. The burgers happened to be somewhat alright. This was a first for me having pub food and I would have more again as long as I stick to the basics.
