I must say that all the staff were totally fab , and so friendly and most of all honest. If I put on a dress that was nt right they said in a very nice way . I had gone in there looking for something plain and low key , but ended up with something quite the opposite, and wow what a dress I had , it was beautiful,and I wouldnt of even tried it if it had nt of been for Jennie, encouraging me to try all kinds of styles and colours and taking the time to show me how to make the most of each gown,she was a star.It was a very exciting time for me and they all joined in the excitement and made sure my mum and sister-in-law ,who were with me , felt a part of it at all times.Emma the hairdresser and make-up lady was FANTASTIC and is a complete assett to them on the day she was so calm and so in control and I actually found her very,very reasonable,unlike a lot of salons who automatically treble their prices once you put "wedding "in front of hair and make up. Overall my time with Jennie and the staff was really good they did everything possible including delivering my dress on the day with snow and ice all over the roads . I attended a gorgeous wedding here last Friday and must say I was blown away by the efficent but…read more'seen & not heard' service and gorgeous decor. Yes, I am bias - it was my FIRST EVER wedding (at the grand old age of 21 that seems to be a bit of a mean feat!) and, yes, it was my bf's cousin's, so of course it was a beautiful occasion. The house itself is grand and sumptuous, if a house can be, if a little let down by its driveway. Saying that, it's in the middle of Standish, so one can't expect the same long country lanes you get, well, in the middle of the country. Once inside we were greeted by traditional decorations and matching furnishings and ushered into a bar area where we were to greet the groom and additional family before moving into the ceremony space. The bar staff worked quickly and efficently, even with cash and card handling, and never seemed to be rushed. Plus, they were generous with the servings, which was what everyone seemed to need! Into the ceremony space, which was a lovely little room with a high ceiling, large window, and traditional paintings hanging on the wall. I was impressed that the decoration of the space, even though it was simple, was not ruined by these paintings or the floral carpet; the colours matched and toned the space down from its Tudor/Edwardian/Victorian essence (hey, I read American Studies, English history is not my strong point!) and made it much more romantic and intimate. Needless to say, the bride looked gorgeous and the space suited the number of people perfectly. Back out into the bar area for what our cousins across the pond would call 'cocktail hour' we received a glass of Pimm's each and started the evening celebrations! Again, the staff at Ashfield House worked around the clamour of people spilling out into the space and got quickly onto changing the ceremony space into our eating area. Obviously after a few drinks time flies but it really did feel like they did a quick job of it, keeping everyone contented but allowing the bride and groom time for photos on the grand staircase and in the gardens when they got a few spots of bright weather! Whilst eating the service was prompt and efficent, obviously on a schedule, maintaining the group's happy buzz and keeping everyone topped up with food and wine. Plates were cleared quickly, the food was hot, and the wine delicious. (After that, it all gets a bit hazy.)

My Husband and I are actually based in Perth, Western Australia so I was naturally apprehensive when deciding who our photographer would be for our wedding day. As someone who works in digital marketing, I knew I didn't want a photographer who would simply do the "normal" staged photographs, I wanted a collection of images which would be filled full of emotion and treasured memories - and boy did Chris deliver. From the moment I contacted Chris any concerns or worries I had were immediately put to ease. His tone and personality shone through in every piece of communication I received - whether that was via email, Facebook or SMS. Plus, his caring nature never faltered (despite all my annoying questions - and believe me, there were quite a few). Although we communicated electronically for over a year, we didn't actually meet Chris in person until our engagement shoot which was six months before our wedding. I distinctly remember getting back into my car after it having butterflies, because I knew straight away we had made the right decision. Over the course of the next six months we organised a plan of action for our wedding day. As I was getting married on NYE, I knew Chris would have limited options in terms of where to stop for photographs etc but he had a plan or suggestion for every scenario. I'll never forget how at ease he made us feel on the morning of our wedding either, he choose his moments to ask myself or my husband for shots and captured precious pictures with my family that I didn't even realise had happened until he sent them to me. I've received so many messages from other brides asking for his contact details after seeing my photographs, so I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Chris. Chris was our photographer at our wedding in December 2015. Chris was recommended by another…read morephotographer we liked but was unavailable. We met Chris shortly after contacting him and he showed us his portfolio of work. To say we were impressed was an understatement. Some of his shots were very dramatic but he assured us that he would shoot whatever we were comfortable with. We booked Chris there and then. We had our engagement shoot in an estate in Donegal which Chris suggested the Autumn before our wedding. The shots he took that day were exceptional. His use of colour and light is phenomenal. We have a couple of pictures from this shoot on display in our home since. On the wedding day itself, Chris was punctual and set the bride at ease from the off. He made everyone comfortable and was not at all invasive. As it was winter wedding, there was not much light to work with but the pictures Chris took in the church are so warm. He captured many moments in time perfectly. Chris got to the reception before we arrived and managed to get some great pictures of us approaching the hotel. We were limited in time to take any outside shots but there was no rush or pressure from Chris. He was ready when we were ready. He gave great directions on how to stand and placement of bodies etc. After the outside pictures, we had a number of group pictures we wanted taken. Chris was so patient throughout - even a large family picture with about 50 people to direct and keep attentive! The pictures taken throughout the night from the speeches, to cutting the cake, first dance and onwards are of the highest quality. Not a moment was missed. Chris was a true professional throughtout. He had our engagement pictures and wedding pictures with us very quickly. We are delighted with our wedding album which Chris designed and chose the layout for. We could not recommend Chris Mee as a wedding photographer highly enough.

Event date: Sat 26th April '14…read more Those Four set up a full evening of cocktails in a remote rented house of a tiny Yorkshire village for my sister's hen party, transforming a regular games room with pool table and table tennis into a vintage style night spot that would not be out of place in the likes of west didsbury. In an hour or so, the team managed to build a full size bar, decorate the room with quirky but classy paraphernalia, fairy lights and bespoke drinks menus, set to with drink preparation and dress themselves in dapper get-up. Bearing in mind, this was all in secret - a difficult task given the fact that there were fourteen inquisitive ladies milling around the house and grounds. When the girls were invited by me and partner in crime to play yet another hen do game before "going out", the door was opened to reveal the transformation! The girls entered what became a nightclub with mucho drinking, dancing and hilarity into the wee hours. Everyone was absolutely thrilled and everything went perfectly thanks to the professionalism of Those Four. Seriously could not have hoped for a better night - the cocktails were gorgeous and they let us have a go at making our own (excellence tuition, not sure my skills can replicate it since though). Their friendly, have-fun attitudes enhanced the night and nothing was too much trouble. All after party mess was cleared away by them to leave the place spotless. And no need for us to go through the rigmarole of getting taxis home yeay! So looking forward to having another reason to use them again - maybe a wedding, big birthday....any excuse really.... It was superb; highly recommend if you want to have a fun night that is different and very professionally and personally done. A million stars out of ten Those Four!

Our wedding was on the 5th of August 2012 with Sue Le Bonne as the caterer, we went for afternoon…read moretea with canapes. The canapes were very nice, they were exactly what we ordered, but the sandwiches that we ordered had nuts in the bread, this was despite the fact that in a meeting with Sue we stressed we had dietary requirements, and I the Groom, has a serious nut allergy. This was very annoying however we made our complaint and the next round of cakes came out, they were very nice and there was more than enough, however the plates came out with Florentines which were mainly almonds. This was not what we ordered, it was not in the menu we agreed on, it was not in the contract. When I questioned Sue on 20/08 in a phone call, there was no actual apology or what I would consider an apology. There was complete denial over the conversation regarding nuts, Sue refused to speak to us in person at her premises and insisted that we go to the wedding venue instead, Sue believes it is our fault for not informing the venue even though she was contracted for the catering and the venue has no power in this situation. This part is totally bizarre, I have spoken to the venue and they are clueless about the actions of Sue Le Bonne. Sue did however remember that one guest has a cherry allergy and promised that this individual would get plain scones, in the end he ended up with no cherry (as did everyone else) unfortunately he suffered from nuts allergies and received the same nutty bread and Florentines too. Sue made it clear that she did not know, however she also made it clear that the Florentines were in a separate box and there was no cross contamination, but why do you need to worry about cross contamination if you know don't know about the nut allergy??? Please note that the above information is based on fact which can be proved with documentation and a recorded phone call.
