I don't think there are enough words to describe how sensational Chris Mee is. In fact - the only way I can describe him is as a "creative genius". My Husband and I are actually based in Perth, Western Australia so I was naturally apprehensive when deciding who our photographer would be for our wedding day. As someone who works in digital marketing, I knew I didn't want a photographer who would simply do the "normal" staged photographs, I wanted a collection of images which would be filled full of emotion and treasured memories - and boy did Chris deliver. From the moment I contacted Chris any concerns or worries I had were immediately put to ease. His tone and personality shone through in every piece of communication I received - whether that was via email, Facebook or SMS. Plus, his caring nature never faltered (despite all my annoying questions - and believe me, there were quite a few). Although we communicated electronically for over a year, we didn't actually meet Chris in person until our engagement shoot which was six months before our wedding. I distinctly remember getting back into my car after it having butterflies, because I knew straight away we had made the right decision. Over the course of the next six months we organised a plan of action for our wedding day. As I was getting married on NYE, I knew Chris would have limited options in terms of where to stop for photographs etc but he had a plan or suggestion for every scenario. I'll never forget how at ease he made us feel on the morning of our wedding either, he choose his moments to ask myself or my husband for shots and captured precious pictures with my family that I didn't even realise had happened until he sent them to me. I've received so many messages from other brides asking for his contact details after seeing my photographs, so I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Chris. Chris was our photographer at our wedding in December 2015. Chris was recommended by another photographer we liked but was unavailable. We met Chris shortly after contacting him and he showed us his portfolio of work. To say we were impressed was an understatement. Some of his shots were very dramatic but he assured us that he would shoot whatever we were comfortable with. We booked Chris there and then. We had our engagement shoot in an estate in Donegal which Chris suggested the Autumn before our wedding. The shots he took that day were exceptional. His use of colour and light is phenomenal. We have a couple of pictures from this shoot on display in our home since. On the wedding day itself, Chris was punctual and set the bride at ease from the off. He made everyone comfortable and was not at all invasive. As it was winter wedding, there was not much light to work with but the pictures Chris took in the church are so warm. He captured many moments in time perfectly. Chris got to the reception before we arrived and managed to get some great pictures of us approaching the hotel. We were limited in time to take any outside shots but there was no rush or pressure from Chris. He was ready when we were ready. He gave great directions on how to stand and placement of bodies etc. After the outside pictures, we had a number of group pictures we wanted taken. Chris was so patient throughout - even a large family picture with about 50 people to direct and keep attentive! The pictures taken throughout the night from the speeches, to cutting the cake, first dance and onwards are of the highest quality. Not a moment was missed. Chris was a true professional throughtout. He had our engagement pictures and wedding pictures with us very quickly. We are delighted with our wedding album which Chris designed and chose the layout for. We could not recommend Chris Mee as a wedding photographer highly enough. read more

We got married on the 12th April 2014. Our wedding album arrived 19th July 2015!! Not a great turn around but our album is lovely and Chris threw in two smaller albums to compensate. An excellent photographer with a manner and style we really liked. Overall I would recommend him as I believe the delay was due to a genuine issue but Chris certainly needs to work on his communication skills with customers! read more

Chris photographed our daughters wedding in June 2013 , unfortunately he took 6 months to get the preview disc to the happy couple and then a further 12 months to provide them with their wedding album !! This is not the time scale that Chris describes on his website. The most frustrating thing was that it was almost impossible to communicate with Chris as he didn't respond to texts, emails or phone calls. read more

We booked Chris as our wedding photographer on Saturday 20th June 2015 for our Wedding in Northern Ireland. We booked Chris via telephone after viewing his artistic and unique photos on his website, we did not get a chance to meet him until our wedding day. Chris arranged a Skype call near the wedding date to discuss arrangements and allow us to include special details of the day. On our wedding day Chris was so friendly and familar, it was as if we already knew him! He was sensitive, kind and genuine and shared personal stories of his own wedding to make us comfortable and gave honest and kind advice. Our guests thought he was such a top guy and a close friend was disappointed she had not booked Chris for her upcoming wedding. The hotel were very impressed, the wedding coordinator said they would hire Chris for any occasion. After the wedding Chris uploaded a preview photo with our permission which was so unique and stunning! We were so excited to see the rest, however, the rest didn't arrive for 3 months despite contacting Chris a few times. When the photos did arrrive they were lovely, I do feel although they are a little overpriced as we did not receive an album or slideshow of photos, just a USB. We have not yet arranged an album, I worry about the delay in its return if I book with Chris. Chris also said he sent something special in the post for me but it never arrived. Im disappointed to see otger people received an 'apology' album and preview disks? I would recommend agreeing on a time of return for all photos in your contract if booking Chris and price different packages with photographers. I would recommend Chris as a good photographer to friends and family in the future. Thank you Chris! X read more

When we met with Chris and he showed us his portfolio of work, it left us in no doubt that Chris was the photographer for us! His pictures stood out as they were not your average wedding shots but were artistic, contemporary and vibrant. The engagement session was great to do as it helped us to combat our nerves in front of the camera so when it came to the wedding day we were very relaxed. Chris blended in well with our family and friends even having a few laughs along the way! It never felt like he was intruding, to us he was like one of the guests but he was still very professional and this was proven when we looked through our pictures. Our wedding pictures let us relive the whole day from start to finish. Amazing and creative photography that told our story so beautifully! A top class photographer and a fantastic guy. Chris photographed our wedding in April in Donegal. We just received the most beautiful album which have been delighted to show to our family and friends and has brought many of them to tears reliving our day. From the moment we met Chris (over Skype!) we knew from his warm witty personality and genuine care about our planning and preparations that he would be a great fit for us. On the day he was so calm and reassuring and despite me panicking over the rain right when we were about to leave for church he appeared with an umbrella and a 'don't worry about it, it'll be gone in no time' I immediately relaxed! Our guests commented on both his friendliness and willingness to take any extra photographs they wanted with their friends. Then there are his actual photos....I couldn't ever imagine having such a large picture of myself in the house on the wall but one of our portraits which over looks hills with the sea in the background is quite simply breathtaking so much so that we are having large print made to hang in the hallway. There was never a moment missed during our ceremony and speeches and there are some wonderful moments with my Grandma straight after the speeches that I don't remember even seeing Chris at the time but they were photographed so he must have been hiding somewhere! I would not hesitate to recommend Chris and his photography to my friends for their weddings, a lovely genuine guy who could not do enough for us on our wedding day. read more
