First off, do not bother with this store if you're at all plus size. They only carry sample sizes, which is I think around a size 8, they will order any size you want but you have to pay for it first, and why would you pay for a wedding dress before having any idea what it looks like on your body? That would have been fine if they had just TOLD me that when I showed up, instead I wasted an hour of my time picking out dresses, the salesgirl bringing them to me, and not being able to fit into them at all. It was humiliating and I left wanted to cry after having been so excited to start bridal shopping-literally she kept bringing me dress after dress and each one I couldn't even get on, I finally asked why she wasn't bringing me anything in the size I told her and that's when I was finally told about the sample sizes. I'm size 12 so I think you could be able to tell by looking at me that a size 8 won't work, especially if you work in a bridal shop, so why waste my time like that? They do have some very nice dresses, so if you're smaller it can be worth checking out for the variety, but it's pretty cramped and uncomfortable in the store, and not really the bridal experience I would expect for the prices they charge. read more

I'm from New Orleans and was looking for a dress that was simple and elegant. I went to a bunch of shops Metairie and Uptown, and was looking to spend between $500-$1000. Needless to say with a budget like that, I didn't have a ton of options, and quite a few stores let me know that. On top of that I found that most stores didn't have a lot of variety in style. So, I went to this shop in Baton Rouge. The only one in BR, so I can't speak for other BR shops. Lin helped me, found 3 dresses that I wanted to try on and that for within my budget and style. I ended up trying on something she picked and it was amazing! It was my style, but the shape ended up being really flattering and something I probably wouldn't have tried in otherwise. Lin was really awesome. She's definitely the nicest consultant that I found anywhere. I highly recommend this business and her. read more

The Bridal Boutique is a Baton Rouge staple for sure. It was my first choice to start looking for a wedding dress. I gave it 4 stars because I am a plus size bride, and it was very difficult to find a good bit of plus size dresses to try on that weren't a mermaid fit. It was a little uncomfortable having to try on extremely small dresses to see if I liked them. The lady that helped me did pull my dress I ended up choosing, and for that I am extremely grateful. Before she pulled it, I was about to give up. They also offered me a great discount and worked really well with my budget. I understand with COVID, there might be some issues keeping plus size dresses in stock. Overall, I found a dress, and would recommend this boutique. read more

Okay, everyone is a critic, but the best opinions to go by when looking at reviews are those that share honestly and fairly! First off, Bridal Boutique is locally owned, which I love! The owner is hands on, the staff is well informed and always willing to work things out so the bride can have what she desires. (P.S. Brides, be nice. There's no need to treat your wonderful consultants unkindly. They are here to help make your dreams come true). I went in one Saturday and tried on a variety of gowns, as Bridal boutique has the largest variety in Baton Rouge, and I love variety. I stayed a bit longer than necessary only because I knew I wanted to get my gown from there and I was between two dresses. Also Brides: it is bad etiquette to spend 2-3+ hours at a shop if you know that none of the dresses are what you want. If you desire to get the "experience" as most brides often do, only go in for less than 1 hour to browse through quickly and see if they have dresses you would genuinely want to try on. I went in one day by myself just to see if they had the styles I was most interested in and then I invited my family and friends another day to do the full experience. Okay so I was in between two gowns. What we realized by the end of the appointment was that I desired the look of my favorite slender gown with a detachable whimsical/romantic tulle skirt on it! So bridal boutique let me buy it off the rack and then they created the detachable skirt for me! Name another shop that will go above and beyond for you to have the dress of your dreams?? Go to bridal boutique and try on a few different style dresses, once you find your silhouette, then just find the one that you like best in that style because they have every type of dress there. ALSO if you're on a budget then go to their "off the rack shop" for super discounted dresses OR purchase from the main shop off the rack and just pay for alterations because you will need it anyway. Most importantly: BE A NICE BRIDE. Customer service is already hard enough, do not be a mean bride okay? You can catch more flies with honey :-) ALSO I love the wooden floors and open floor plan they have! There was ample space for my two bridesmaids and mother + mother in law to come in. After seeing these reviews. I now know why the second time I went wasn't the most awesome experience I had, just like the first time when I came in and chose my dress with Katy. When I first went in tried on dresses, and even decided to purchase a dress Katy was awesome. She had the best customer service that a "bride-to-be" should receive for her big day. She treated every customer as if they were her only customer, took her time, and showed she cared about the best interest of the customer. She also greeted me when I first walked in. Before I met Katy I walked into that store and walked right out a week or two before that because I wasn't greeted when I walked in. I'm surprised I even gave them a second chance. Luckily Katy was there because it seems if i was in the position like the other reviews, I would of walked out upset and with nothing. Few months later I came back to pick up my dress. I was greeted, but I asked for a receipt and she told me she couldn't give me a receipt cause I was paid out. One of their reps told me that I should of been getting emails , which I haven't been. The other said they don't do emails. What felt like a "grab your dress, your paid up and get out" was what it was . She made me take a picture of how they keep track of Payments. But for professional reasons and as a current Manager (which customer service is our priority) why couldn't she just type up or write a receipt with a signature for everything I've paid ? She kept asking me why I didn't have my receipt from the first time, well why don't you have any of my 5/6 receipts when I paid all the other times. You can't get flustered because your busy. You need to take care of each customer one at a time and give them all the same attention. I was too point where I took my bag and just left , didn't even want to ask about the lock that came with the dress and bag because I would of probably been told two different stories again. My wedding is out of town and I have to do it most on my own from a far, which Is why I need to keep everything I do handy. It seems as if they had no care in the world for each customers situation and for their customers big days (as I was watching a lady roll her eyes). Lastly, as excited as i was , just with that attitude, I will never recommend anyone to go there if they continue to give off the same morale for one of a woman's most significant day of their life. I had the most wonderful time finding the dress of my dreams at Bridal Boutique! Alicia was my consultant and could not have done a better job! I knew what I was looking for and showed her a few pictures when I got there. She then grabbed several gowns from their huge selection that she thought I would like. She was extremely helpful and friendly and asked me what I liked and disliked about each dress until we found the perfect one. Never thought I'd be leaving a negative review (like, ever) but this experience was just too horrible NOT too share.. I found my dream dress at Nordstrom while on vacatoon out of state, but didn't love the dark lining the sample dress that I tried on had. So, I found out from the Willowby website that this location carried their particular line. I called and spoke to TWO different employees on TWO separate occasions, both times I was assured the Willowby dress I was searching for was in stock to try on, as well as that they had the sample swatches on hand to pick my lining color. I decide to book my appointment and take a two hour a drive on my one day off to finally commit to my dress. I'm excited and thinking everything is working out perfectly.. until I show up just to be told that not only do they not have the dress I came for in stock, but they don't even carry the sample swatches! The girl who helped me assured me that we could get a feel for the lining colors by trying on other dresses from the same line so I figure why not. Im already here, lol. Now I'm home, and trying to compare the lining colors to what is shown on the website and come to find out... one of the dresses she had me try on (and the lining color I loved the most) wasn't even a Willowby dress! Hands down, WORST experience I have ever had. read more

Back when I was searching for a wedding dress, I originally went to their sister shop "Off the Rack". I was paying for my wedding on my own and wasnt looking to spend a large amount for a dress I was only wearing once. I am plus size and the options were limited. I wasnt treated special. The consultant did assist me with putting the dresses in the dressing area. I picked a dress that was a maybe and the consultant agreed to hold it and encouraged me to go to the Bridal Boutique for a larger selection and different styles. She stated she will call ahead and let them know to start pulling selections in my size. I went directly to the other shop. When I walked in they looked at me like I was an alien. I told her I was sent by the other consultant and some selections was to be pulled. It was 3 women at the counter and they were extremely rude stating they did not get a call but welcomed to look around. As I searched i could only find sizes 4-8 on the rack. I had to go back to the counter and ask did they have anything in my size. They rolled their eyes and one lady said we can look upstairs. We went upstairs and in a small area in the back corner they had 3 dresses. The lady looked annoyed when I asked if she could put the dresses in the dressing room. She did not assist me in getting into the dresses. She never checked on me. I got annoyed and walked out. I bought the held dress at the sister store but looking back now, I should have went somewhere they treated you like a bride. I refused to have my bridemaids go through what I did and seven bridemaids dresses were bought somewhere else. I dont recommend them at all. My original wedding date was 9/10/2016 and due to some unforeseen issues we had to push the date back. when we finally rescheduled our new date of 11/23/18 I had all my girls bring the dresses to my house to try on and we noticed 1 out of the 12 black mori lee bridemaids dress was charcoal in color. ( they all should be black) the next day we called the bridal boutique and the stated it had been too long and they didnt keep record that far back, even said how do they know the charcoal dress came from them. They also had 1 of my dresses being used as a try on dress in the shop and it had deodorant stains on it. I would not recommend them to anyone. No understanding or compassion what kind of dress shop does not take responsibility for mistakes they make. Also several staff were very rude on the phone. read more

When I went in and found my dress here, the staff was great. Ordered my dress, and it came in----2 sizes too large. I was not treated with any respect. It was not MY FAULT either they made a mistake or the manufacturer did. Two employees verified the size dress that I ordered. Regardless, they should have caught the mistake before I was called to pick up the dress. I would not recommend this store for your special dress or event. read more

This place is like a TJMAX on a Saturday without the great discounts. Atmosphere: The store is claustrophobic and clustered. It's a "hot mess!" All the dresses are squeezed on the rack and with those awful plastic bags, you have no chance in knowing what the dresses look like. Plus, they are heavy so browsing is laborious.They do have a lot of designers, BUT not all of the designers listed are available in the store to try on. I didn't even bother looking at the bridesmaids selection. It was worse than the bridal area,which I didn't think was possible. The store lacks the bridal boutique ambiance. It does not make you feel like a bride; it makes you feel like a shopper on Black Friday. Customer Service: The first time I went, it was a Thursday afternoon and it was hectic. There seemed to be a lot going on but it was a lot of confusion- everyone was stepping on each other. After my sister and I stood in the middle of the room for a while, someone finally greeted us and said a consultant would be with us soon. After some time, the consultant greeted us and said we could start looking at the racks (as I mentioned before, this is impossible due to the overcrowding of dresses and plastic bags). I managed to pull a dress or two (the tops looked nice,couldn't see the rest).I started a fitting room for myself because the consultant got pulled away elsewhere. My sister and I then decided we would leave because it was not going to be a productive visit. I decided to make an appointment and research the dresses I wanted to try for my next visit. So, my appointment rolls around and the store is hectic again. I had to wait a long time ( I was on time for my appointment) for my consultant to get to me. I gave her my list and she went to look up the dresses but they had NONE even though all the dresses were with designers listed on their website. She was helpful when she finally had the time to work with me but she seemed exhausted. I tried 3 gowns on then left because it was not going well again. I had written this store off until I fell in love with a gown online that only this store carried. So, I e-mailed them to see if they had the exact gown. They said yes and asked if i wanted to make an appointment. I said IF you have that exact dress, then yes. I show up for my appointment, and they didn't have the dress; they never did. WTF?! Waste of time & energy. I wouldn't send my enemy there. Please check out Bustle and if you can take a little drive, Ashley Renee Bridal is awesome! Small, cramped, rude employees... I went in on a Saturday afternoon and chaos is an understatement. Upon entering the stylists stared at me as if I was a pest, despite having an appointment. Then when asking to speak to the woman that operates the store, I was informed that I need to come back another day, DESPITE having an appointment. The space itself was very small, and could host a very small quantity of customers. With a smaller space, one would think that great service would be a given. Throw away your assumptions. There were several people unattended as well as a long line near the appointment/cash register area. Based upon my experience (and the experience of other brides I saw frantically rushing around the store) I wouldn't advise anyone purchasing their gown here. I recommend brides seeking other shops before popping into this claustrophobic nightmare... After visiting this store, I spoke with a friend who works with bridal gown stores in the Baton Rouge area. He informed me that the owner is just as unconcerned with customer service with most of her potential customers as she was with me. Also, It should be noted that 5/6 reviews written about this store are negative, yet none of them are featured, so consequently there are no ratings regarding this store. Interesting. read more

While I'm from Baton Rouge I currently live in California and was extremely excited when I was able to return home to go wedding dress shopping with my Mom. I am very familiar with Bridal Boutique as they are a Baton Rouge institution for brides. Many family and friends have purchased their gown from BB and over the years I've purchased a bridesmaid dress or two from them as well. So of course they were at the top of my list to visit. The appointment went very well and I did find a dress. The dress came in a-line but I wanted a fit and flare silhouette. The bridal attendant assured me that the designer could accommodate such a change though I would occur a minor charge. So the dress was ordered and about three months later it arrived. When I returned for my dress, I noticed that the construction had been completely modified to accomplished the fit and flare look. I didn't like the new construction. This had not been explained to me at time of purchase. I returned to California without a dress and about 4 months till my wedding. It was stressful. And this is the point where Bridal Boutique sets themselves apart. They were kind, understanding and extremely easy to rectify their error. While I will not be able to travel back to purchase my dress at BB, I can highly vouch for their professionalism and highly recommend any bride to BB. What was a stressful situation could have been 100 times worse except for their outstanding customer service. I want to thank Brooklyn for her personal attention and quick resolution as she was amazing to work with. Traveled there from New Orleans today and arrived 30 minutes early; we weren't offered any water or anything and was told to look at mother of the bride dresses upstairs. We then realized we were hungry and told them we were going to the canes across the road. The woman at the front desk must've thought I told her I couldn't afford the gowns there because she gave me a paper and referred us to their "off the rack" location on bluebonnet Blvd. I brushed off her insult and went back after lunch because I still wanted to see the Enzoani trunk show. After arriving back it still felt like they weren't ready for us because I had to wait at the counter an additional 10 minutes. As a bride I was already antsy and it's not their fault I couldn't find the dress I had pictures of. But they didn't make me feel good about spending money there at all and when I did finally tried on a dress I loved the consultant didn't put a veil on my head or anything for $2800 I shouldn't have to use my imagination. Also when trying on gowns the attendant stayed in the room with me while I tried on gowns. It was extremely invasive! I brought my mother with me for her to help me put on gowns, not some stranger watching me get into gowns with my underwear on. Anyways I made a second appointment for because I really liked the gown that I tried on but I believe I can just find it somewhere else cause it wasn't worth the drive. read more

For starters, I was told to give Bridal Boutique my measurements, in which their response was "well that puts you somewhere between a size 4 & 10" Not very helpful. Then for $300.00 I received a crumpled up piece of taffeta, that swallowed me. We put our orders in at the end of November, but did not receive the dresses until two weeks before the wedding. To pay that much and get that little respect, I think displays this companies arrogance. I will never use them, and as an events coordinator will strongly encourage any bride I work with to stay far away for this place. read more

Baton Rouge brides: DO NOT USE BRIDAL BOUTIQUE. I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from BB, no problem. HOWEVER, when they came in, we discovered that three of the five dresses did not fit. Like, two to four sizes too small. But the best part? The three that didn't fit were the three girls that went in the store and were measured by BRIDAL BOUTIQUE'S OWN PEOPLE. It took quite some time, but they ordered new dresses and promised "free" alterations for our troubles... My friend out of town was not reimbursed for her alterations, one girl gave up on them and went elsewhere, and when we went to get my sister's dress done, the alterations woman told us they did not SHORTEN dresses, but could get us the numbers of other tailors for us to pay to have it done elsewhere. Then, with the wedding a ten days away, they told us they couldn't have it done before FRIDAY when the wedding was SATURDAY, even though my sister had to have it shortened. NO. Never ever ever again. I wish we had driven to New Orleans to get the dresses from people who CARE, because these people obviously don't. read more

WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. Very few fitting rooms, very small place. I live 1.5 hours away. I ordered my dress, came back to pick it up, it was manufactured with very noticeable flaws. The store did not inspect it when they received it. They called me to tell me I could come pick it up. I drove out to pick it up, tried it on, pointed out the VERY noticeable flaws. They did not offer to compensate, discount, etc. They said they had to send it back to the manufacturer. Not ONLY did I have to make another trip to come back and pick it up AGAIN, but they refused to make amends in any way. They could care less that $200 in gas and 2 weekends of my time was wasted. I am shocked at the poor level of customer service. read more
