You love Legos you have to stop at brickwork. Definitely do the brickwork tour is worth the admission. Amazing Legos on display my family and I had a blast.

First of all, the lady at the counter was AMAZING, just really, really ridiculously kind and welcoming. The exhibit isn't large, but it's so cool! My only regret is that I wish we had done the harder scavenger hunt. DON'T LICK THE FORCE FIELD!!

Our family loved this place. It's small but we had a great time. Make sure you do the scavenger hunt! We had an awesome time and almost made expert level.

A MUST for families and young children, this was such a cool and unexpected little Lego Museum! Very clean, high-tech, and well put together fun stop for our little kiddos, who loved the interactive and lit-up, thousand-piece Lego compilations. Whoever built all of these displays, moving trains, and funny creative Alien-invasion Lego scenes deserves a raise! I highly recommend you taking 30+ mins enjoying the detail and fun artwork that are these incredible Lego sets and scenes, and end with the kiddos building some Legos of their own. A+

A lot of work went into building these sets. No easy feat. It's cool to see. Only three stars those because the times for sale are way overpriced. The markup is out of this world (pun intended).

Design your own Lego tile and add it to the wall.

The museum is located in Downtown Roswell and is open daily from 9am-5pm. Admission for adults is $7 and kids 5-7 is $4. Seniors 65+, military and first responders pay $5. There's a gift shop inside to buy alien souvenirs. Be sure to also stop at Roswell UFO Spacewalk museum afterwards for a cool glow in the dark UFO and aliens experience it's only a 2 minute walk from this museum. Happy Yelping :)

You should know going in there's a lot of reading involved and this is not some flashy, high-tech, push a button type of museum. There are lots of displays and documents, timelines and witness accounts, newspaper clippings etc. so if you really want to take it all in, you'll need to give yourself some time. There's a really large research library inside which I found interesting. If you're really into UFO history, investigations, government reports and all of that you could easily spend hours in that section alone. The exhibits themselves are fine, although some of it feels a little dated and again, it's a lot of reading. It's also dog friendly and I'm pretty certain that the UFO exhibit with the life-size aliens kept my dog distracted long enough for me to read most of what I wanted to. There's definitely plenty to keep humans engaged as well if you enjoy learning about the 1947 Roswell incident and everything that followed. The gift shop was really cute; maybe my favorite part. Lots of quirky alien merch, books, shirts, and fun souvenirs. We got a giggly alien head headband in child size that we ended up putting on our dog. It was adorable. I also got a really nice knitted sweatshirt that I probably overpaid for but I love it. If you are looking for something very Roswell you will find it here. This is definitely a place worth visiting, especially if you've already come to the area, just remember to give yourself time and not rush it or expect some sort of interactive/theme park type experience.

It is located across the street from the Chaves County Courthouse. The sign with the sculpture reads, "John Simpson Chisum. 1824-1884. "Cattle King of the Pecos"" "John S. Chisum, a western icon, is generally recognized as the early West's most prominent cattleman." "In the mid-1870s, Chisum was the largest cattle producer in the nation, with as many as 80,000 longhorn steers in his herd. Beginning as a youthful cattle owner in eastern Texas, he soon became recognized as a "cattle baron" increasing his herd and influence as he moved west." "In 1867, he brought his first herd to New Mexico Territory on the Goodnight-Loving Trail, later partnering with Goodnight for several years. He established headquarters on the Pecos River at Bosque Grande between Fort Sumner and Roswell, claiming a range from Fort Sumner south 150 miles to Seven Rivers, near present-day Carlsbad. In 1875, he moved his headquarters to South Springs at the southern edge of Roswell village." "In spite of Indian raids, rustling gangs, drought and occasional floods, Chisum's holdings prospered. It is said that during the 12 years of his greatest activity, he moved more than 300,00 beeves to markets north and east and to Indian reservations throughout the region." "He was a fringe participant in the Lincoln County War and associate and close friend to John Tunstall, the first casualty in the conflict and Alex McSween, one of the last." "He first befriended Billy the Kid, then together with Roswell's J.C. Lea, selected Pat Garrett to rid the area of the Kid." "One of the West's consummate cattlemen, he helped develop both modern cattle breeds and the fledgling town of Roswell." There is a parking lot here for the Roswell Visitor's Center if you'd like to check out this impressive statue. [Review 17449 overall - 62 in New Mexico - 967 of 2022.]

It has interesting exhibits of New Mexico and Southwestern art, along with a surprising amount of artifacts from Robert Goddard's life and pioneering work in rocketry. It was unexpected to find a museum of this quality in a small town. I especially enjoyed the paintings by Billy Schenck and the black and white architectural photographs of New Mexico subjects by Robert Christensen. There are several galleries of permanent exhibits, along with a number of rotating exhibits. Admission is by donation. Parking is plentiful in a lot next to the museum, and it's free.

If you're not much of a reader, you don't get the benefit of the full value of the museum but still definitely interesting to check out for just 7 bucks. There are clean restrooms here and a fun simulation as well as an awesome gift shop carrying lots of alien themed items. One thing that was very interesting is the Research center. I believe it's free without admission ( they accept donations). You can go inside and it's essentially a library with UFO and paranormal themed books, as well as a separate room for sci fi books and another room with more incident reports and such to look at. It's pretty neat and I wish I had more time to sit and read a few of the interesting books they had. In short, this place is more fun for adults than for kiddos but if the kiddos can read it may be interesting for them.

The life-sized sculptures are part of the History in Bronze collection and can be viewed by vehicle or foot along the Artesia Mural Trail. My dad was a long-time oilfield mechanic, so this depiction, the plaques, and the very deliberate design all hit home for me. This is very dangerous, yet, rewarding work. The first, "Partners" depicts oilmen Mack Chase and Johnny Gray leaning on the hood of a ickup truck. The two local men went into the oil and gas business in 1972, and for 20 years ran a successful company making most of their business deals this way: no lawyers, and just a sun-baked truck hood desk. The second is "Woman's Intuition" and depicts Mary Yates sitting on a spool of cable, pointing to a spot on the ground. Her husband had drilled two dry wells, and the Yates' hired geologist refused to pick another. So Mary chose a spot and said, "Drill there." Her husband did, and struck oil on April 9, 1924, ushering in the Artesia oil boom. The third sculpture, "Derrick Floor," is a full-size 37-foot-high drilling rig created by artist Vic Payne.
