However, something has happened to the rice. Let me first correct a few things from my previous review. The front awning does have the name of the restaurant on it. Jose Fish Market is not brightly painted or printed on the awning. Second, they have flounder instead of trout. The flounder is still a generous piece of fish for $11 for the platter with rice and peas. This time the rice and peas were not edible in my opinion. I do not know what happened, but something was very very off about the rice. I would rather have the fish alone and would be hesitant to have the rice ever again here. The chicken wings at $10 for four and fries is still a great value and the wings were crispy and great with the hot sauce, even the fries were good with hot sauce.

The beef felt under seasoned and rather plain, and the fries did not hold up in the twenty minute drive home and we soggy, limp, and meh. We came for grand opening and got some shakes which were also just average with BARELY any hint of the flavors I ordered. The caramel tasted just like vanilla. The pineapple did have some bits in it but like the other flavors we got, just had a trace of the flavor. That can easily be amended by adding more syrup, sauce whatever it is they use to flavor the shakes. They were initially very thick but melted into a thin drink about thirty min later, so consistency wise you can enjoy both. Admittedly I am not a beef burger eater at all. I prefer chicken and due to the parameters of the special I elected to go for the discount as opposed to my personal preference of chicken. They had some supposedly super spicy chicken sandwich that looked appetizing but I can't see myself making the trip just for that. I do wish them all the success and since they just opened naturally there will be plenty of room to make changes and improve. Adding more seasoning to their beef blend will be a great place to start.
