I recently purchased a limited edition Seiko Prospex watch for $3,100. Despite the price point, the item I received was clearly a display model that had been previously handled. It arrived without the original hang tags or any of the protective stickers that are standard and expected for a high-end timepiece of this caliber. When I contacted customer service for an explanation, I was directed to a web developer who denied the facts of the situation and claimed that all watches are shipped in this condition. The lack of professional expertise and the refusal to acknowledge the condition of the watch is unacceptable for a luxury retailer. I would advise looking elsewhere for any significant jewelry or watch purchases, as my experience indicates a significant lack of quality control and professional customer support.

I dropped off my ring and waited two weeks for for pick up (even though it was ready a week later). They did an amazing job re-sizing and adding speed bumps to my wedding set. While walking around they had some gorgeous jewelry for sale, and the few employees I interacted with were very friendly. I live in SC and was getting married in SF where my wife is from and he and his team made the entire process very easy. They sent me videos of all the different types of diamonds we were considering as well as which type of ring the diamond would lay in. My wife, like many women, had a specific idea in mind which I only knew vaguely (wanted to surprise her rather than have her pick it out/know that I was buying a ring) and Alon knew exactly where to go with the little amount of details I gave him along with a description of what my wife likes/doesn't like. It worked, she absolutely loved the ring! When she went back home to pick out her wedding bands a few months prior to the wedding he made sure to immediately take her ring and make it look like the first day she wore it and helped her find the perfect wedding bands that she wanted. All of this was at a very reasonable price. They offered a 12 month interest free finance policy (separate policies for the ring and the bands) which made it very possible and stress-free to pay off everything without interest. Alon gave my wife a lot of great tips on how to best care for her ring and the day before our wedding he made sure to get the ring to clean it again. All in all, it was a great experience and we were very satisfied to work with Alon and his team.

I'd have to ship it. Went back to Sioux Falls and got an estimate for shipping. Called Rare Necessities and told them to hold the typewriter till I got back. When I arrived it was waiting for me at the counter! This was a heavy piece (40lbs) and the gentleman (an older guy) lugged it back! The prices here in comparison to the surrounding area are very reasonable. They are also the ONLY game in town. Yelp shows three other shops. One was closed for the day (mid week afternoon. The two others were closed either permanently or temporarily. They take credit card. They are located directly across the street from the court house. They're open daily till 5:30.
