Maybe it's the family who owned the venue previously, but I am not pleased. My wedding was July of 2020 and I wish I had never booked here. When I toured with my fiance, we asked about packages and pricing WITH alcohol and were told one price with an added security guard fee. So naturally, we put down a deposit to save our date. I drove 3 hours down to the venue to sign the contract and pay the remaining balance. When I got there the daughter of who I thought was the owner told me the alcohol package is an additional $800 which was never previously mentioned. I may not have booked a deposit here had I known that since there was a cheaper option. The woman then told me they had sold the venue. No mention of it being for sale when I toured. They also took over a month to deposit my check. There have been several little issues as well. Needless to say, its beautiful but unless the new owner has her crap together, I won't be recommending this venue. My wedding day went smoothly but because of my wedding planner and I barely saw the venue staff. The morning of my wedding, my planner arrived and was told we never purchased the alcohol package. After I went through all the hoops to get it, I had to send in my photos on my contract where it was listed, in addition to my bank statements verifying payment to the venue. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, however I can not recommend it. The staff did nothing. In the contract their version of "set up and tear down" is you and your bridal party moving chairs in between the ceremony and reception as well as having to set up and take down all center pieces. I was also told after my wedding, that the staff were not prepared for my planner upon the 7am access time to the venue per my contract. They also lied repetitively about what decor could and could not come down. On my final walk though a month before my wedding, I was told a giant ugly green wall could come down and the morning of my wedding, my planner was informed it could not and I had the green eyesore for my entire ceremony and reception. When my fiancé and I first toured in January we were told the awkward deer heads could come off the walls and on the final walkthrough were informed they had since been bolted into the walls and could not in fact, come down. If you have a dedicated planner willing to deal with difficult owners who do not care about their clients and want a non-barn wedding venue in the area, by all means book here. Just expect a ridiculous amount of sass and turbulence from the ownership and staff. Also don't trust a word they say, and get EVERYTHING in writing because they change their story every time you speak with them. I had my wedding here in December and it was everything I could have ever dreamed of. Julee is great to work with and did everything we needed to make our day perfect. The venue is absolutely stunning. She has created a venue that has everything you need. We loved spending the night with my bridesmaids in the bridal suite. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us. The area to get ready in is perfect and has so much room. The guys loved hanging in the groomsmen room and playing pool and games. Plus the catering was delicious- I highly recommend the chicken Alfredo. All in all this place is where your wedding dreams come true and I recommend it to everyone. read more

NOT BABY FRIENDLY!!! Wish I could give 0 stars. We came to a friend's wedding here recently. When we got there, our baby needed a diaper change. We looked everywhere for a changing table. There were none in the bathrooms and not even a sofa or surface to change a diaper on. The only thing was the hard, dirty tile floor, which I was absolutely not going to use to change my baby's diaper. After the ceremony, we continued to look for a changing table. Finally, we found the owner of the venue. I was hopeful she would have a solution, or that maybe there was a changing table somewhere that we missed. When we asked for a changing area all she said was "Oh no we don't have a changing table here, those things are so ugly and disgusting! Haha! I would never have one!" and then looked disgusted at my baby. Unbelievable. I had to take my baby all the way out to the car to change her diaper in the back seat. We then just decided to leave. Other than this, the venue is ugly and looks very cheap. My friend also said she had a horrible experience planning a wedding with them. The owner of this venue is pathetic and disrespectful. The venue is beautiful. However the owner doesn't know how to run a business. She kept changing and raising the prices. The meal provided was sparse, cold, and bland. Wouldn't even provide a second pitcher of water when the cake was served. The centerpieces were cheap and the flowers weren't as fresh as they should have been for the prices she charged. The mother of the bride had to keep reminding her to go to the next thing that needed to happen and I think if someone is going to run a wedding venue they should know what they are doing. The wedding was beautiful but that was because of the bride and groom and their great attendants and families but I could have produced a better reception out of my own kitchen. read more

Brick Haven is the only venue my daughter, her fiancé and I looked at and we booked it on the spot because there was truly no need to look any further. This amazing venue was everything they wanted and so much more! The venue easily accommodated the wedding party after rehearsal and allowed everyone to stay together overnight. The Bridal Suite is gorgeous with six King beds and a dazzling six chair salon! The fully furnished log cabin out front (do NOT let the outside fool you) was perfect for the guys and after the wedding the newlyweds had it to themselves. This venue is beautiful as is on any given day, but after Julee and her staff put their Midas touch on it for your big day it is absolutely breathtaking. Every bouquet and flower arrangement Julee created was stunning and the cakes were beautiful and delicious. The owners and their staff were so friendly and fun and worked tirelessly during our two days there to keep everyone comfortable, well fed and well entertained! The food was delicious, the DJ was outstanding and the mechanical bull was a huge hit for all ages. The "man cave" was greatly enjoyed by both the young and the old with its comfy recliners, big screen TV (Roll Tide!), pool table and arcade games. My daughter was a beautiful bride and with Julee at the helm she had the wedding of her dreams. My husband couldn't post the whole thing, so this is part 2 of his review. PART 2: NO ONE should be told that they aren't supposed to be standing somewhere, especially if those individuals are trying to organize things for the bride that should've been taken care of by the venue that we paid for. It's just not good business to treat people that way. Bride's bouquet was not altogether what she wanted even though the bride sent a picture in a 24 page document with descriptions. She said she could do it for sure because she says she use to be a florist. Despite that, my wife's bouquet had flowers falling out of it when they brought it to her before the ceremony (definitely not $225). She only gave the flower girl about 10 FAKE petals to throw down. It barely would've been enough to cover a few steps down the very long aisle in the venue. It costed $15 for us to rent a basket that barely had 10 fake petals in it. Luckily, my mother in law brought more fake flowers to use. My wife, mother in law, and the bridesmaids had to rip the flower petals off the stems and shove them in the basket RIGHT BEFORE THEY WALKED OUT in order for there to even be enough. She barely got the mother's and grandmother's bouquets to us before the ceremony started. She also didn't give all the bouquets out that she needed to and that we paid for. It was extremely rushed and all last minute. She also walked into the bridal suite several times without announcing herself and some people were naked/changing clothes. SO unprofessional. We also had to cleanup everything we rented. Taking out trash is one thing, but who when renting a hotel/space is expected to clean the sheets and do a deep clean of what they are renting?? In addition, the owner and/or her staff moved and HID a lot of the decorations that WE brought without asking or telling us and would only admit to it if she overheard someone asking about it. She kept coming up and yelling at the bridal party because we had the doors open because she keeps the venue extra hot. She also yelled at a couple that was trying to use the sound system when we didn't know we couldn't use it. She would not give us the prices of stuff when we first booked. Because she claimed she couldn't know the prices until she got the stuff. She only quoted it the month before. She also only gave us a week or so before we had to pay. She also rushed us during the wedding and kept saying we were behind schedule. We didn't know what the decorations were going to look like at all before we got there on Saturday morning. If you want a beautiful venue, we definitely recommend using this venue. Our wedding was gorgeous, and we will take that to the bank. However, to save yourself an enormous load of stress, we would recommend doing EVERYTHING else yourself. Also, make sure you get everything in writing because the owner forgets a lot of the things she promises while sweet-talking you. read more

Part 1: First of all, our wedding was absolutely beautiful, and at the end of day, we got married. However, a LOT was wrong with this venue. All the decorations were gorgeous (although they needed an extra touch from the bride's mother). The decorations were beautiful, but not what you expect for paying $3,450 on decorations. Also the venue rental ($11,500 for Saturday and Sunday) only includes the rental of the venue and chairs and tables for 120. So if you need more, expect to pay $15 per table and $4 per chair. It took us practically until the month before the wedding to get her to quote those prices to us and to even get her to talk about details with us. Also for a venue that looks this nice and for the outrageous price, we ate off of plastic plates and had to use plastic silverware (which also costed us $455). I personally have seen almost the exact same "silverware" set she bought at Sam's. We didn't even know what the place settings looked like until the month before the wedding AFTER MY WIFE HAD TO ASK TO SEE IT. I had to call 20 or 30 times to ever get an answer (she doesn't even have a voicemail box setup so you can't leave a message) after we booked. My wife emailed her every day for a week straight at one point and barely got an answer. We expect MUCH more when we're paying $11,500 to rent a venue for the weekend. This venue has the WORST communication of any business I've interacted with, and has been EXTREMELY unprofessional. Before we paid, she hardly answered us or our emails at ALL. Even afterwards, she barely answered the MULTIPLE questions my wife had about our wedding. You have to really think about this, y'all. She's dealing with your WEDDING. Theoretically, you only get ONE WEDDING DAY. So WHY does someone work in this industry and claim to love it and have a passion for it if they can't even email you back? Our conclusion is that the owner is passive aggressive and really just tells you want you want to hear in order to make a sale. The food at our reception was honestly just ok. Not fully worth the price for what you get. Definitely not worth $25 per person. She also got the design of one of the cakes wrong and way overcharged for the amount of cake that we got. My groom's cake was supposed to be chocolate with chocolate fudge frosting, and my wife sent in a 24 page document with pictures AND descriptions of what she wanted, so there was literally no excuse for anything to be wrong. My cake was supposed to be chocolate on the outside, but it turned out matching my wife's cake. This was also $250. Even if it wasn't the owner's fault that my cake was the wrong color, she should've approached me or my wife and said that somehow something was messed up and she should've admitted that mistakes were made. She never admitted to anything being wrong or different from what my wife and I asked for. The bride's cake was also super dry (definitely not with $500). The owner also precut the cakes before the bride/groom cake cutting without asking us which took away from us having the ability to do what we want. She should have just asked. There are lots of things she should have asked about before doing. Apart from her husband, the owner and her staff were extremely rude to our guests and our wedding party. read more

The new owners are awful. They wouldn't honor a friend's contract that she had with the previous owners. After she had already paid her deposit, and most of the remaining balance. They refused to take her final payment, ripped up her old contract in front of her, and told her she'd have to have a new contract. Then, on top of that, told her that she can't rent the venue for just one day, but had to rent it for two. What?!? Now, they're avoiding her. Refusing to answer her calls, texts, or emails. They won't return any of the money she's already paid. $4,000 that she has out of pocket on this place. I called and they answered. I asked if the date that she had scheduled for her wedding day was available, and they said it was!!! That's a new low. They won't refund any of her money, AND they don't have her date blocked off. Very inconsiderate people. I wouldn't recommend this place at all, unless you want to get ripped off. The previous owners were wonderful to her. And the contract they had with my friend should be honored fully. She's done everything right, and deserves her special day. Now, she's out money, and a venue. The venue is truly beautiful, but the owners lack the excellence it takes to run a place of this magnitude. read more

The lady that now has this wedding venue does not know how to run a business!!! She nickeled and dimed us the day of the wedding!! They only had 1 person working the venue. Part of the package was supposed to be them moving chairs from reception are to wedding area and vice versa , we ended up having to do that because the only person that was there to help was no where to be found. The plumbing messed up the day of the wedding, so we had to go without bathrooms for about 1-2 hrs. They did get it fixed. Also the items that she said that were in the decoration package were not their the day of the wedding. Really the only thing they decorated were the tables . We never received our contract. also when we called her to talk about these issues, she (owner) was very sarcastic. Though, the place is very big and very pretty, if you decide to have your event there , make sure you get everything in detail and don't leave with out the contract. I would not recommend it. My friend who is more like a daughter to me ( she is young black girl and I'm 65 white women). She originally paid the old owners and booked her venue for last summer, due to covid she had to cancel. The old owners sold it and the new owners are telling her that date is booked! But, if someone else calls and asks for that date its open. The new owners are rude, racist, want answer her text, her emails and have treated her mother and family like garage! This makes me cry writing this, this family all the way down to her nephews are one of the best families I've ever met in my life. The children are so so well mannered, her father is a preacher and her mother is wonderful. All this boils down to their skin color! This is 2021 and we are still facing people that are racist. The old say, "Don't Judge a book by its cover" is so true! Don't judge people because of their skin color or ethnicity! You will miss out on making some of the best friends you will ever make in your life! My friends wedding is in 5 months and now she doesn't have a venue nor gotten a refund of the 4k she put down! This should not be happening in this day and age, so so sad! read more
