He found issues that I believe (and my realtor agrees) no other inspector would have noticed. Of course, beyond the obscure details, he also caught the more obvious problems as well. He explained every part of his report to us in person, gave tips on how to maintain various parts of the home, estimated costs of various minor repairs, and even gave us a time-table for when we should expect long-term, high-cost repairs, replacements, and services. I mention again that, in addition to bring remarkably competent and professional, he was also genuinely nice and friendly. If we ever purchase another home in Tucson, we will definitely be giving Richard a call.

I did not use this business but I still had a 5-star experience. I emailed Mark one early evening,…read morethrough Yelp. He responded 10 minutes later and offered up his cell# for direct communication or texting. We talked about costs and services and he explained what a master inspector entailed (additional training and certification)! My reason for seeking out several other appraisers was to vet the one recommended by my real estate agent (also highly rated). It turned out that everything was on the level and in the same price ballpark so I opted to honor my agent's referral. Had I not had a matching equivalent I would have gone with Mark and Pride Property, hands down. Their full inspection, including infra red (strongly recommended additional "search" behind the walls, ceilings, and floors) was similar at around $600 (i.e., reasonable). Mark, thank you for taking the time to explain what you do, what your qualifications are, and guiding me on what to make sure I get for my money if I opt for someone else to perform my home inspection.

I used On Point Home Inspections when buying my home a year ago. Jason was exactly..."On Point"…read morewith a very comprehensive & thorough inspection, report & photo array. Lots of unseen before items were found & our builder had some work to do to correct the items Jason found. Since then I have recommended On Point to 6+ friends & neighbors who ALL had positive experiences. As I approached my 1 Year Anniversary in my home, I hire them again for another review. As with all new construction some items were again uncovered by Jason. I feel that his work is thorough, his pricing fair & he happens to be a nice guy to boot!! If you need an inspection, On Point is Aces in my book!!

I felt the price was well worth what I paid for and would even be willing to pay a little more in the future. THE JOB DONE: I had them come and inspect my home purchase. With a few day's notice, they were able to come and fit into the timeslot I already had in mind without any issues. They arrived early, and got right to work, taking the initiative inspecting the outside things, even though my realtor and I hadn't arrived yet to unlock. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, took the time to explain every item on the report, and even the next steps to fix them. The report itself was very well done with an easy summary as well as pictures, arrows, and clear descriptions of the issues. FINAL RATING: A+ Would hire again and highly recommend!

In the third week of January I was in Tucson from Colorado to take care of my parents' home. I only…read morehad a week and needed a home inspection. Both a Tucson realtor and another home inspector who was booked recommended The Edge Home Inspections owned by Matt Leahy. Communication began by way of phone and e-mail. After this I was clear on the expense, which was $200 lower than my brother-in-law said it would cost. Also, the extent and process of the service was clearly explained. This inspection was thorough, professional, and at the same time relaxed and personable. Matt was patient and not rushed. I appreciated the explanations of home situations that needed attention, as well as tips on rectifying the situations. He was experienced, knowledgeable, and considerate of fixes that weren't required, but would make the house safer. The inspector was sensitive to my out of state situation and helpful with certain home problems that were not covered in home inspections, i.e. the sprinkler system. He recommended companies he was familiar with that could offer me those services, for example, termite inspectors. The Edge inspector, Matt Leahy, also photographed all of the home appliances and registered them in a recall check service. I have since received a report from that company on the home appliances. Also, since I was out of state and only accessing Internet through the library, Matt Leahy considerately delivered a hard copy of the inspection report to the home the very next day! I'm so thankful I received a dedicated and sincere home inspector who not only went the extra mile, but also accomplished all of this within my very limited window of time. All in all, I'm super happy and impressed that I received more than I needed and more than I could imagine, because I used The Edge Home Inspections.

As soon as Marc Richter did his home inspection, all of our fears were allayed. He was thorough and documented everything. We received physical and digital copies of the detailed inspection with pictures. Marc color coded his inspection results so we knew what was serious and needed to be addressed by the seller before we would buy the home, and what was less urgent and we could accomplish ourselves as new homeowners. This knowledge was power through the offer and closing process. We've had no surprises and a year later we love our new home. Thank you Marc!

He was extremely thorough and checked everything I would expect and a whole lot more. Not only did he check the house but he taught me a lot about the house and its components as I followed him through the inspection. After the inspection he sent a 70 page report complete with pictures and a description of what work would be needed. Additionally, he incorporated a rating system for urgency of the repair. Overall, Marc was on time, well prepared and has a wealth of knowledge about how a home should look, inside, outside and between the walls. He was able identify key evidence of deeper problems and tell the difference from cosmetic issues. I would recommend Marc because of his thoroughness, knowledge and ability to teach you about your future home.
