My $1700/tooth veneer fell off within a week and they spent the whole session making fun of me. They offered the $49 new patient cleaning but it's actually $225 and only after a week of them messing up the appointment. The hygienist broke off a retainer bracket and wouldn't go get the dentist to glue it back on. Then she told the receptionist it was just because "I was too tired...?" I've had it. Check-in was smooth and they accepted Delta Dental insurance. Everyone was very welcoming from the receptionist, to the dental assistant (Lovely), to the dentists (Dr. Esther and Dr. John), and to the hygienist (Tabitha) who cleaned my teeth. I felt very at home and loved that played Christian music and even had on Christian tv shows on in the rooms. They have very up to date equipment and technology, including mobile x-rays of your teeth that they can do on you in your room instead of having to go to the x-ray room (however they did both for me this visit). Dr. Esther addressed all issues I had with my teeth and reassured me of everything. This was overall a great experience and I look forward to being a long-term patient! As I am blessed with overall healthy and pretty teeth, I resigned myself to just live with it. While it was barely noticeable to others, it was a substantial source of frustrating, near-constant physical discomfort for me. After moving to San Antonio, I wondered if this practice could help me out. Dr. Beckel saw me for what I assumed would be just a preliminary consultation, and he convinced me to let him fix it right then and there! I got the sense he could tell it had really been bugging me a while, and wanted to make it better. I felt his communication was good and his bedside manner really excellent. He gave the problem a lot of thought personalized to my specific case, and was optimistic--but realistic--about his ability to fix it with as microscopically minimal enamel removal as possible. After just a few minutes, I got handed a mirror and was stunned to see a tooth that looked genuinely as good as new. It was actually a bit shocking, in a good way. I am truly amazed by the appearance of this bonding. I feel that not only was the natural look of my teeth fully appreciated, but the complex manner in which light moves through the thin edges of my enamel, creating a range of shades, is continued seamlessly throughout the restoration. I was fully expecting to see some kind of subtle boundary or shading difference there, but it actually looks perfect. This must have taken a high level of skill and a profound understanding of dental aesthetics. Of course, the next test will be to see how it holds up long-term.
