Brian is a very passionate guitar teacher. His style of teaching will have you playing songs in less than a week. He comes to my house once a week for an hour. In addition to playing he shows me how to set up my Amp. I took lessons about 10 years ago for about 2 years. I allowed work, my job, and procrastination in interfere. Eventually I stopped playing. That ain't happening this time. I'm having too much fun. read more

Brian is a truly amazing guitar teacher and I highly recommend him! We learned about Brian through super positive word of mouth because so many folks in my neighborhood are Brian's students, from adults like me to children like my 12-year-old daughter and her entire rock band (solo and group lessons). He is patient and clear and talented, which makes him a superb instructor whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced! And he's also cool with playing whatever you're into, so while I'm learning acoustic Beatles songs, my daughter is more focused on heavy electric guitar like Black Sabbath, AC/DC, and White Stripes. Give him a try! read more

Brian is a wonderful guitar teacher. His passion for music & guitar is obvious, and he shares that with his students. My 10 year old son has been taking lessons for the past year and he always looks forward to his sessions and learns new music time. He is a patient, knowledgeable, and kind teacher and also keeps it fun. Brian is reliable and incredibly professional. I would highly recommend Brian! read more

Brian is great. He keeps lessons engaging and instruction at a pace tailored to the student. Highly recommend for all levels!

Brian is the best. He's a prolific guitarist with a deep understanding of music theory but has a disarming way of breaking it down for beginners. He keeps his students' enthusiasm high and their frustrations low. His ability to connect with them is awesome. My son genuinely enjoys his lessons and chatting with Brian; they've developed a great rapport. Brian is super easy to work with - prompt, communicative, and flexible when we're in a schedule bind. I wholeheartedly recommend Brian. read more

Brian has been teaching my son (now 14 years old) for the last 2-years. Our first impression of Brian was WAY better than two prior teachers we had. He's managed to engage our son in a way that others hadn't (easy going style, teaches guitar in an intuitive style, gives good positive reinforcement, and plays stuff my son actually enjoys)! Brian has always been flexible, patient, awesome to deal with and someone my son can really relate to. Would highly recommend!! read more

We love Brian! He's been giving my 11 year old son lessons for the last 3 years. He didn't know how to play when he started and now he is quite proficient and absolutely loves playing!! I would recommend Brian to anyone of any age who wants to learn. He is patient and easy going an flexible with scheduling...oH and he comes to our house. So with all the running around we do all week long, having time with Brian is more of relaxation therapy than anything else! My son is ready to play in little bands and is having a blast with learning all kinds of music because of Brian, he's super knowledgeable about guitar! read more

Three years since my first review and Brian is still my daughter's guitar instructor. She started at age 11 and is now 19. She is always learning new things from him and I'm glad she's able to get that one on one instruction. read more

We were looking for a guitar teacher for our teenage son who had just started learning on his own and wanted someone to work with that would teach him proper technique and work with him on the type music that he liked (he didn't want to just be given a song to learn as part of a larger class). A friend recommended Brian to us and he has been amazing! In the words of our son, he is a "descriptive" teacher rather than a "prescriptive" one that would push you into doing something you didn't want to do and would take the fun out of it. He is very patient, has a good sense of humor, and finds ways to relate to what you are doing. He remembers you and you can talk to him and play guitar together. He cares about your progress and you can ask him anything related to guitar playing, and the lessons are personalized and tailored to the style of music that you want to learn. In our son's case, he's been working on a variety of music from Metallica, Dire Straits, Jimi Hendrix, Megadeth... A whole range! He wants to work on Pink Floyd's "The Wall" after he gets the Sultans of Swing down, ha! It has been so great to see our son make progress in making music and enjoy playing guitar. He looks forward to his lessons every week and we are grateful to have found Brian. read more

Brian is amazing and I highly recommend him! I used to play when I was a teenager and I just started picking it up again, and he has been a great teacher. I have a learning disability and he is incredibly patient, and I'm so grateful, as this is learning a new language! read more

We started private guitar lessons with Brian when our daughter was 7; she had no previous musical training or experience. He comes to our home and is always on time or early. Brian is SO good at working with new students. He is patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and so fun. Our daughter has learned multiple songs in the 9 months of lessons, and she feels confident playing in front of her friends and peers. Brian has personalized the song choices for her so that she is playing the songs she already knows and loves. Our weekly lessons are a highlight for us since it is so much fun to listen to Brian and our daughter play. We highly recommend Brian's guitar lessons. read more

Decided that I wanted to learn how to play Barracuda, by Heart and fulfill my inner rock star dreams. I've been working with Brian for a few months now. He knows his craft, is patient and for someone that barely practices (Bad, Adriana), my electric guitar playing is decent. Woohoo. A few more months, and LOTS more practice, and I should get there. Best thing...Brian will come to you!! read more

I am a Mom of 3 girls- ages 5,7 and 10 and Brian teaches us all guitar (including me!) He is very patient and able to transition from each girl very well. He's obviously a very great guitarist but also an excellent teacher. He's very professional, always on time and teaches out of our home- which for a Mother of three is fantastic. I would recommend Brian to anyone wanting to learn guitar, child or adult. read more

Brian has been coming to our house over a year to work with our 8 year old son on the guitar. He's so patient, reliable, affordable. He listens and talks to my son about the type of music he likes to listen to so he can teach him to play the music he enjoys. It's been amazing to see the progress in his playing at such a young age. My son looks forward to his weekly lesson and we highly recommend Brian! read more
