Thank God for people and leaders like Elissa (owner) of Elle Madison!! I had my first appointment…read morewith her to try and get a color that I really wanted and she made it happen! I had went in on a Friday at 6pm and we both didn't leave the salon until 1am because of the process and how much hair I have!! I felt horrible that I kept her there that late and for so many hours but that is a true definition of a hard worker and leader! She is much appreciated for the time she spent on me! My hair is exactly what I wanted, and she made sure to make it happen even if it took 7 hours . This salon is by far the best salon I have been to in Virginia Beach! Elissa has picked some of the best stylist on her team and give them 10 thumbs up! I have done a color with Kim as well and came out amazing!

They accepted me with my baby and were extremely welcoming and supportive. Jennifer did an amazing job with my hair and showed so much patience, she had a crazy product to work with but gave me an amazing outcome! Tip for this place they are by appointment only so make sure to contact them through their Facebook page to book an appointment. This is a little more time consuming due to not just being able to call for availabilities or just randomly show for a haircut, however the results they give are extremely worth the effort. Would completely recommend!

Never again will I come here…read more The stylist thought she knew about curly hair But it is very obvious she does not. The highlights and lowlights do not blend at all, I look like I have stripes down my head and she completely butchered my first layer. I came back a day after it was done and was given the managers phone number, Gale, who said she would get in touch with the owner to figure out what she can do. It has now been four days and I am being ignored. I want my money back. I don't trust any of their stylists no longer and am disappointed in how they treat their customers which is sad considering a hair salon is a customer based establishment. Still waiting on a response even after speaking with the stylist this morning. Hopefully they will reach out before I have to dish out even more money this afternoon to get it fixed.

New to the area and finding a stylist isn't easy but this is not the place to go. I've been getting…read morehighlights all my life and somehow I walk in for a scheduled highlight and walkout $300 later with a balayage? I asked for my blonde to be touched up. She looked at my hair and was like "kind of like balayage?" And I said yes because my previous hairstylist always referred to my hair as "balayage-ish". I should've known something was wrong when she wiped out syran wrap instead of foil so that's my fault for not speaking but but I'm a trusting person. I also needed a trim. JUST a trim. Homegirl chopped my hair off and then gaslit me by telling me she didn't. Ontop of that she told me it was my fault for how I sleep that one side was growing better than the other so she had to fix it. I understand my hair was damaged on the ends but she easily took 2-3 inches off. I cried the whole way home. How do you not talk to someone before doing that? Communicate to your client what needs to happen and don't just get scissor happy because you think that's what is best. Now I gave it 2 stars because I guess the "blending" is good? To be honest I can't even tell because the money pieces are just blocks in the front of my face, my hair is too short, and the cut job is awful.
